Mapiya had to hide her amusement when Chidi rolled his eyes. Hok'ee obviously was one of those doting dads who never realized their children had grown up. It was rather sweet, if not emberassing for the poor stallion.
She blinked in suprise as the wind soquili landed in a heap. Well...that....uh...to be honest that was a bit sad. She had never seen a less graceful landing in her life, and she had seen a few eagles land on flat ground. Cocking her head she studied the newcomer wondering if perhaps he was ill...

"Ca.." the air barely made any sound from his mouth, as he cut himself short. He was about to be overly concerned, and tell Chidi to be careful. He scrunched his lip and stayed silent as his son approached. No Wind with such a soft appearance, would ever bring harm to anyone. Who ever heard of a violent Wind anyways?
Hok'ee dipped to Maipya, standing close to him. "Shall we go too?" he asked politely and gestured after his son. Waiting for her for a moment, he then made his way towards the others. His stride was one of confidence, as always.

The stallion twirled around as Chidi approached. Beneath his white painted mask, he grinned at the newcomer. "Hullo!" he whinnied as he stopped before the winged creature. He flickered his tail and pawed at the ground with is forefoot in a friendly gesture.
His ear turned as he heard approaching footsteps behind him. He just knew it had to be his dad. Hok'ee was nearly as friendly as Chidi but all that he could think about was the possibility of being groomed in front of yet another new friend.

*Shaking his head slightly, still feeling like there was dirt in places he couldn't reach, he eyed those coming closer to him, head tilting to one side a bit he watched. Wondering who they were and if it was really safe to have landed here. When one spoke, it snapped him out of his foalish worries and he smiled brightly.
"Hi" he piped before craning his neck to the side a little looking toward another that was coming, more company. "I hadn't noticed that there were a few out on this glorious day." Eton half muttered before looking back toward Chidi. "Most seem to want to remain inside and out of the gloom."
With a slight shrug, Eton shifted his weight around a little as his wings refolded themselves absentmindedly upon his back, making it look like he wore a cloak of ebony and pastel, colors that were passed on by his parents...

Mapiya smiled nodding her head as she followed Hok'ee towards the two other stallions. She was still not too sure about that wind but he seemed friendly enough.
Dipping her head she smiled in greetings. "Hello there. Are you alright?" He had taken a rather rough tumble.
((Sorry it was so short guys, school is kicking my booty!))

He approached with a swish of his tail, adding to Chidi's greeting. "And I, am Hok'ee, father to Chidi." he boomed. His voice was a elevated to a beautiful-boasting key. His head nodded to one side with his introduction. Same sex males, were competition after all. He made sure to present himself with utmost confidence.
"Yes, a gloomy day indeed." he continued with the simple formalities.
"And what might we call you Sir?" he asked.
He raised his chin up again, waiting for a reply of a name.

Regarding the newcomer, Chidi piped up. "Well most days are glorious in some way or another!" he said with a very merry neigh as he reared and bobbed his forelegs in the air like a dance. "It's just too bad I had to miss the first part of it. Gloomy days are so easy to sleep through."
Tossing his mane, he chimed again. "My name is Chidi!" He flashed a toothy smile.

Looking from one stallion before him to the other, he was getting a little confused, if one hadn't said that he was the father to the other he would have sworn that they were brothers or something as they looked quite like to him, too like. Unlike his brothers and himself, they were all different, his sisters were even the more different. Wings shuffling a little, he felt smaller then he had in a while, even within the light of the gray day.
"My parents named me Eton," He answered, though he didn't stand as 'tall' as those before him.
It seemed to him that they had more pride in themselves then he did, not with all the 'torture' he receives from his sister Neva. There was a mare who deserved to have her wings clipped every now and again and pricker branches scratched across her tongue or something. Shaking the thoughts from his head, no matter how much he hated his sister, he couldn't really think ill things of her, she was blood and blood stood up for each other no matter what... Right?
"though my sister calls me 'wittle' Eton." At this he hung his head in some shame, he hated being called that, but it was his sister's pet name for him...

Mapiya shook her head at the silly stallions. Really did they think all that posturing mattered? She smiled though at Eton her ears perking forward. " It is a pleasure to meet you Eton. I am Mapiya."

An eyebrow raised above Hok'ees left eye. It was a look of concern and deep wonder. How could any stallion let a female tease him? Was she really such a threat? Had he tried to stand up for himself? "Eton, nice to make your acquaintance. I assure you, I will never call you....'wittle'. Do you have a nickname for you sisters?" He thought it only fair, that he should tease them back.

Whinnying into a burst of laughter, Chidi replied to his fathers response, "I bet I could find a nickname that suited her!" He stamped a foot and flicked his tail in the direction of Eton, like an elbow in the side when you tell a joke. Chidi sometimes had the tendancy to let his mouth run away with him and deeply hoped that his new friend did not take offense.
Crack! went they sky above their heads and Chidi flickered his ears with a sudden twinge at the noise. "Thunder..." he said through gritted teeth as he peered up at the sky. A dark cloud had apparently crept up on them since they all had arrived and now loomed overhead. This didn't bother Chidi a bit though. "Looks like we're going to get wet!" he shouted through another smile.

As the only mare present Mapiya felt she had to defend her sex and snorted faintly at Chidi arching her brow as she shook her head ," Really now Chidi, you don't even know this mare. I personally have a number of unflattering nicknames for my siblings, it did not signal a dislike for him, rather a familiar ribbing that they returned."

(is going ahead to post since its been so long and no one else has...hope thats ok)
Chidi's eyes flashed quickly back to the mare. Her quick, and rather un-needed, defense gave him a distict feeling that she wasn't understanding his jest. He stare at her in a near stupor, "Does she really think I would be serious about such a thing, especially with a new friend?!" he thought silently to himself. For goodness sake; even his father wasn't proud enough to tease a little!
It was quite apparent that she did not understand his instant friend-making tendencies...and why would she? They just met as well! He brushed her comment and returned his attention to Eton.
"Well, Eton," he began with a very posh voice and elaborate pronouncation, "please excuse any of the things I have said that would be offensive to you or your family." He stuck out a hoof as if offering up his hand to be pardoned. "It was not in my intensions to be offending or rude...and since some people in this crowd have a hard time understanding fanciful joke-making," he nodded his head over his shoulder towards the mare, "then I suggest we all obstain from it." He finished with a crooked smile like a politician and a quick wink of his eye, "Don't you agree?"

Stepping away from them all, Eton didn't know if he wanted to laugh or run or just kill himself now. If his sister were to hear there would have been a mountain load of pain for them all, mare or stallion, Neva never cared which it was. Shaking his head and letting his ebony and pastel wings shift slightly at his sides, he wondered if everyone would always poke jokes about his sister and her... Diminutive ways.
"Er... I don't think you would want to say that around Neva." He finally spoke up. "Andre, my older brother is like the only one who can put her in her place. Mum and Dad seem to ignore her." He shook his head again looking away from them, not wanting to see the stares if any came his way. "Anyways, it's nice to meet all you too. even on a bleak day as it is." Suddenly not in his normal 'play with me' mood with all the talk of his sister.

Just the, the bottom of the sky fell down upon the four like a waterfall from the heavens. Hok'ee grimaced. "Let's move to the cover of the trees!" A much needed conversation change from the way Eton talked about his sister. Perhaps she was a real brute. Hok'ee might look good, but he wasn't a fighter. He didn't no how to advise in such matters.
With a fast trot, he broke for the tree line, not looking back to even see if he was being followed. He only knew that he wanted to filter some of this rain from his face. He couldn't see a thing!!
Breaking through the trees, he slowed himself to a stop. There, he began to shake himself to free as much wetness from his coat and mane as possible. He let the shake finish out by whipping his tail about like a snake.
"Thats better." Even though the rain still made it's way past the trees cover, it wasn't near as bad.
