Kane walked along the quiet village streets until he finally reached the square, which was considerably busier though obviously not as active as during the day. He was aware that he looked quite a mess, with scratches all over his body thanks to that agility training Natamo had given him. He probably also had dirt all over himself from training with the earth. Kane gave a huge sigh and seemed to wilt for a moment almost comically, before righting himself up again. He plastered an easy smile on his face and continued on his way back home. He was now starting to go into the 'I'm not Seshiro, so what?!' phase.
Of course, those thoughts died as soon as he saw Hana. She was holding a basket of the flowers in the shop and seemed to be selling them... but at this time of night? He broke into a jog and reached her, giving her a completely genuine smile this time. Kane wasn't jaded enough to lose the ability to smile just yet, although some days it felt like it was fading.
"Hana-chan!" he said in greeting, the style of speech seeming to have been inherited from his mother... "Selling flowers out so late?"

As Hanabira's olive eyes continued to scan through the crowds to try and pick out another customer she had seen at the shop, they landed on someone else. At first they had just scanned over the blond teen carelessly since she hadn't recognized him at first, but as he headed towards her, Hanabira realized that it was Kane. She was rather speechless at first, due to her surprise at his filthy wardrobe. It didn't seem like Kane to have been so dirtied and scratched up. She returned his smile, since it was one of the still clean things on his body it brought a warmer presence than it usually did. "Mhm," she said, with a nod of her head as she held out her basket. She pulled back the cloth that was keeping the summer flower warm for him to see. "Bush Clovers," Hanabira said, letting him see that she was almost out of the white buds, but had an abundant amount of purple. "Did your training end already? I was going to make you snacks..." Hanabira said, a little ashamed that she had forgotten all about making Kane food when he was done training. It looked like he had trained pretty hard, so her guilt ran a little deeper than it would have initially. "Mm, Seiteki-san is at home... She may be able to make something quick. Uhm... But Shinichi-sama is over," Hanabira told him, almost like a warning. Many students dreaded that Anbu, but Kane had never really had Shinichi as a teacher since Kane hadn't attended the academy in Shimagakure. He was the reason why Hanabira had taken the chance to leave the house and sell flowers in the first place...

While Hanabira spoke with Kane, a woman over heard their conversation. Instantly she picked up on the word clovers and instantly thought of purple. "Oh!! Excuse me," the plump woman said, interjecting into their conversation politely. "Did you mention, Bush Clovers, Hana-chan? May I have a quick look?" she asked her kindly, hoping to purchase some herself. Hanabira gave her a nod and lifted up the cloth trapping in what little warmth was left from the house where the clovers had been taken from. "Oh, my!! Oh, my!! That color is perfect! Can I take a bundle? How much? May I have all purple?" the woman said, anxious to make a purchase.
Hanabira smiled softly at the woman. Her mannerism to ask so many questions in a row reminded her of Tenmoki Aya. "Mm, its 1 Ryo for three," she stated, pulling out three purple branches and tucking them in the cheap not-dyed cloth she was carrying with her for people to take their flowers home in. As Hanabira wrapped them ever so delicately, she handed them to the woman and then took the Ryo from her, tucking it into her pocket with the other two coin she had acquired tonight. "Thank you very much," Hanabira said, bowing to the woman and thanking her for her purchase.
"Oh, Don't mention it darling! I can't wait to bring these home. They'll match the new indigo curtains I bought from the merchants from the Tea Country perfectly!" the woman said as she walked away, leaving Kane and Hanabira alone once again. The small girl with her almost empty basket smiled at Kane.
"Can we go home together, Kane-nii?" she asked him, hoping that she would be able to make some snacks for him before he left for his mission. Even if she were to make onigiri with dried plum, Hanabira would feel happy that she was able to do something for Kane-nii before he left. Hanabira could stay and sell more flowers, but the bush clovers in her basket were going to get cold and wilt soon.

"Yeah, training's over for me," Kane replied easily. He was a little disappointed that there was no Hana-food, but waved it off. He could enjoy it when he returned triumphant! "How was your day, Hana-chan? Did you get hit by that sleeping genjutsu in the afternoon too?" He listened as she warned him about Shinichi, and frowned a little. He knew that the older man had something against his sister, for some reason he couldn't fathom...
"Well, at any rate Hana-chan, I'm here, and mum's there, too, so we won't let anything happen to you," he declared confidently. Just then, a lady appeared and was quite enthusiastic about buying it seemed. She departed with a large portion of what had once been in Hana's basket. Kane watched her go, before a question from Hana from him back.
"Of course," he said with a grin. "Let's go. Ugh, I need a bath..." Kane was definitely feeling the dirt now. And, if the mission was what he imagined it would be, he wouldn't be bathing for the next couple of days, so he had to have one now...

(Fall 7 ~ Night)
Running as fast as she could from the shoreline, Tanu slowed down once she was in the village and nearly out of breath. Her heart was racing incredibly fast from the excitement, fear and exercise. If she were an old man, an attack would have ensued and left her dead on the ground long ago. As she walked into the dim lights of the village, Tanu's eyes re-adjusted to her surroundings. It had been extremely dark on the shoreline, so it had been hard to see and her eyes had adjusted to the dark lights by making her pupil extremely large. Now her pupil was a little smaller as she stood in the fiery glow of the lanterns of the village. It was getting late out now. Trying not to think about the man she had just encountered and the events that had almost made her pee her pants, Tanu started a sloppy walk towards the housing district to go home to her crummy apartment with Kazuma. "Ugh," Tanu said with disgust as her cousin's name flashed in her mind. He was such a disgrace... saying he wasn't going to become a shinobi. She couldn't wait until the clan found out about his failures, but she wasn't going to tattle on him at all. Perhaps that Tenmoki woman would send in a letter to the clan asking his removal of the village. Yuki-sensei seemed like just the type to do that.
Training the Eyes Shinobi are often required to move from the darkness of the night to bright indoors and then out again. To train her eyes, Tanu practices letting her eyes adjust to different lights quickly. This will allow her to pick out details in different rooms more quickly and pay closer attention to her surroundings. DC: 13 1d20 + Detect (3) = 23 Train: 4/5

Karite looked around the village at such an early time in the day. Most of the buildings he didn’t recognize considering he had seen most of them during the night. He noticed that there was a low roof not too far from him. Walking over with Kore by his side he smiled. "Let's see how the village looks from the rooftops. What do you say buddy?" Karite said looking at Kore, but of course without waiting for a response he began to run towards the butcher shop. Jumping up he tried to grab the low hanging roof and slipped off landing on a trash can and flipping over onto his back. "Ouch, that hurt so badly. I guess I am going to need a faster start.” Getting up and dusting off his half naked body he placed his hands on his hips looking for the best way to go about climbing this building. It seemed low enough to jump to but from what he just experienced that was not the case.

Kore followed close to Karite’s side which to the boy it may have seemed he had made a new friend which was half true but for now Kore was just imitating Baki’s actions with Maya. The boy seemed to be a magnet for trouble as he came up for the crazy idea of jumping on roofs. It didn’t look like the boy could stand on his own two legs let alone jump and it seemed he was right as he saw the boy run towards a building and almost immediately bounce off like a little ball of flesh. If he could have laughed he would of so instead he snorted and began to walk towards the building. Looking at the trash can the boy had just fallen over. Bending his front half of his body he jumped on the now tipped over trash can only to discover gravity as the it began to roll out from under him. Landing on his tail and rolling onto his back he kind of looked towards the sky with an upset look on his face thinking how stupid people were.

Karite got off his back and shook his head. He was seeing stars now but that didn’t mean he couldn’t feel the pain in his butt right now. Standing tall and rubbing his butt he began to chuckle as he saw Kore do a complete 180 in the air and land on his back. It was one of the funniest things he had seen all day. “See what you get you little show off. Now watch how real skill handles this.” Karite rubbed his hands together as he licked his lips. He was going to do it this time. Running towards the building he got a good jump and landed a foot on the wall to give him a push up grabbing a hold of the roof the morning dew made it slippery then he would have liked. As fast as he managed to grab the roof he managed to slip off. Back on the ground Karite looked up again leaning back on his arms. “You know what, this hurts way too much. Let’s head to the Bamboo forest for a good hunt. While we are there maybe you can show me how to do some hunting of my own.”

Prodo arrived at the Udon shop, and like he expected...Karite and Shisei were nowhere to be found. With a shrug, he spoke easily to Udo, who nodded and began to make small bowls of udon to take over to the bar. Prodo smiled and headed over to the bar, knowing he would have to prepare a few solid drinks for Udo in return for the noodles. Rubbing his stomach, he snatched one of the prepared bowls and a pair of chopsticks, giving Udo a smile and watching as the younger man shook his head and started preparing a Prodo-sized bowl. With a satisfied smile, Prodo ambled on over to the bar, where probably most of the 'gang' was waiting.

Most would find it odd and strange to see a boy march around blind folded. Yet that event was happening before the villagers’ eyes. Shisei had wrapped the brown bandanna around his eyes and was creating the best expression of a blind man one could do. The idea had come from when Shisei met a blind child on his journey. He was impressed at how the child went around with his optics bound and stick. The situations were different.
For one the child was blind and did not have a choice. His body had to adapt being sightless thus gaining strength in other areas. The Orochi born was not blind. His vision was very good and his most relied on sense. A sightless exercise would be trouble. Second that child had a stick and would try to grasp something solid if he felt lost. Trying to keep his all knowing composure, white fingers would not even try to grasp the air to know which path to lead. His mind insisted on walking as if his sight was not compromised. This did not turn out well from his stride from the farm. His body crashed into shrubs, bushes, a few trees, a fence, and one cat that would probably detest violet hair and light brown pants for the rest of its nine lives. Determined to get to his destination the boy managed to stumble within the village. As soon as his feet touched the new terrain, the boy took an unsavory fall. It seemed maneuvering within the village would be just as tedious as making it there from the rice farm.

Gold eyes were locked away from the world so there was no way of knowing what Shisei tripped over. All he could deduce was that it was hard and about as tall as his knee. With small mumbling to himself the snake child returned to his feet. This was feeling more like a chore than an exercise and the boy began to wonder why he started such training. First he had to rely on his touch and ears. That was not the hard part. The difficult part would be finding his destination. He had no idea of which way to go. This is the part where great intuition would be a blessing.
Feet slowly, but boldly, walked while the rest of senses began to work at a hundred percent. His ears were having trouble because of the commotion of various citizens walking around. Not only that, but the citizens did not have much care of bumping into him. With being not even reaching the five foot mark and a body just under ninety pounds it was no feat to most villagers to be able to knock him aside. Despite the adversity against him, his stroll was making more progress than his travel from the rice farm.

Chuckling, a voice carried through the already thinning crowd in the center of the village. "Being blind means relying on other things to get you by - you aren't blind, kiddo. Is it smart to pretend? Maybe you should get a feel for things around Shimagakure before trying to get through the busiest part of the village blindfolded." The voice was almost taunting, though its owner was anything but. Its owner was actually Shisei's destination - even if he was a few minutes late.
Udo, of Udo's Udon Shop, was watching the Orochi boy, amused by his almost stoic sense of ... stubborn pride. It had to be that, otherwise the Orochi would have picked up a stick to help him be aware of the obstacles before him. Perhaps the kid didn't know that that was the purpose of the stick... "Hey, kiddo...the stick most blind people use is for feeling the ground in front of them...you seem to be missing one. There's a pile of firewood a few feet in front of you...careful not to trip on it. Use one, otherwise you're going to hurt yourself."

A voice? Shisei had heard this echo directed towards him. The boy fought the urge to tear away the blindfold and see person to this voice. Was it criticizing him? The Orochi child gritted his teeth. Some say the foolish are blind, which is how the serpent youth felt at the moment. Foolish. Trying this exercise was already brining unwanted jeers from onlookers. The voice also was giving him advice about using a stick.
Pride boldly walking before Shisei, the serpent only registered some of his words already forming a reply. “Thank you for the advice,” the boy began to call out to where he heard the voice, “but I!” and with a loud mixture of thuds created from a body tripping into a pile of firewood… the Orochi youth fell. If ego had not plugged his hearing then perhaps Shisei would have heard the man state about the firewood in front of his feet. Instead he lay with his body buried among wood. After a minute the child managed to return to his feet brushing himself off and feigning that he wasn’t hurt. Truth of the matter some of those sticks poked in some soft areas, but no one aside from the boy needed to know that. “I’ll use a stick….” his voice quietly mumbled as his left hand held a piece of firewood.

The snake boy did not want to admit it, but whoever said use a stick was right. It was a lot easier. His only was that he had taken the advice a minute earlier before his fall. This probably would have helped a couple of minutes earlier when he was making his trail from the farm down. Shisei’s face had bumped into so many things that the little nose at the beginning of his face was becoming a carnation pink. With the stick tracing the ground, the stolid child avoided a few cans and boxes that he would have definitely tripped over. Still there was the problem of knowing where to go. Perhaps the faceless voice would know. With a target in view… well metaphorically in view, Shisei continued his sightless road hoping he would find this person without anymore inconvenience.

"Well...Prodo was right, after all..." Udo chuckled to himself, seeing the boy reach for a stick but using it unsuccessfully. At least, Udo thought so. Udo reached for a bowl of his yummy noodles, wondering if the kid would ever figure out that he would have to reach him to get his dinner (and the instructions for the riddle pieces collected, Prodo was a wily one...), and he slurped down his noodles noisily, as though he was taunting the boy. Again, Udo was anything but a mean man, though he loved playing mind games...and this kid obviously didn't let many people into his head. With a smile, Udo called out again. "Try not to jab, and instead tap the ground and don't lift the stick up high," he said through another mouthful of udon. The kid would reach him..at least he had accepted help.
