The snake youth waited a few minutes to allow his anger to diminish. His eyes scanned around the room. There were an odd number of students. Which probably meant one of them would be playing this difficult version of dodge ball with their sensei. With his mind and sense clear he walked up to the teacher.

His eyes gave a glance to Karite at first and then a full look over at the newcomer. Her face had given a small smile to the teacher. Her body was robed in winter like clothing. It seemed a bit weird to Shisei because it wasn't cold enough for a scarf or boots. She walked over towards Karite, probably choosing him to be a partner. Well that made who to pair up with easy.

"I will execute the exercise with you, sensei." his voice stated. His main target for the exercise had already found a partner so now Shisei didn't care much who he tossed the ball at. The only other person his palms would have liked to toss one of those metal spheres at was the nameless girl, but she was nowhere to be found. Hurling the weights at a more experienced person may not grant them injury. At least it may mean Shisei could learn more than with his peers.

"Bonzai!!" the noise made his pale head pivot upwards. There was lush of green and tan thing descending quickly upon him and the salty man. "Wait... is that..." Shisei began to think. Yep. It was the jungle drunk.

Naoki tilted her head to the side, considering what Shin said. A technique...? But who would be strong enough...? Not the teacher, surely... Ichi-sama! Her eyes brightened when she came to that conclusion. It made sense to her, anyway. There wasn't much that the kage couldn't do, at least in her point of view. She braced herself the moment Shin pulled his arm back to throw the cannonball. Somehow, she doubted that those things were hollowed enough not to break a bone...or several. Thankfully, Shin was nice and didn't throw too hard. She was able to dart out of the way, the cannonball landing with a hard whack on the floor. It was loud enough it made her whirl around to stare at it. "Oh dear... I really don't want to get hit..." she thought out loud, watching the cannonball roll away from its initial landing spot. "Isn't it dangerous for us to throw these things at each other...?"

Karite raised his head slowly from stretching letting his green pony tail slide down the base of his neck. His silver eyes catching the bottom of Akiko's boots and working their way up her slender form. The clothing was strange for this temperature but was soon forgotten when Karite's eyes locked with her stunning features. Standing to his full height he began to studder out his answer before taking a breath. He couldn't figure why he was acting this way. He was very comfortable around the opposite sex but something about this girl was not like the others. Something about her gave Karite a strange feeling in his gut. Not a bad one like she was evil, but a special feeling he had never felt before. He focused and then began to speak like he normally would. "Hi, I am Karite. I would be more then happy to do the exercise with you. It's really simple. I am going to to throw a cannon ball at you and you will have to dodge it or get hit. Then you will do the same to me understood?"

Shin couldn't help but feel a little better about his conclusion about the sudden nap time in class since Naoki's face lit up like it was a good idea. She didn't say anything about it, but she was a very shy girl. The Nara couldn't help but find shy girls cute. Hanabira had been real cute that night of the festival... He was brought back when the cannonball hit the floor. It made him jump a little in the air since he wasn't ready for such a loud sound. "Ahaha... Well, they're padded, so maybe it just sounds intimidating? Haha..." Shin laughed nervously, trying to make Naoki feel a little better about this training, but he wasn't feeling very comfortable with it as well. He was so jittery about cannonballs flying at him that he just wanted to go sit in the corner and whine until the sensei said he didn't have to do the training. Leaning over to the pile of cannonballs, Shin picked up another. "I'm gonna try to lob this one up a bit, so be careful not to get hit in the head or shoulder," Shin warned her as he got in a shot-put like throwing position before lobbing it up into the air. He really didn't want to hit Naoki, but Shin thought that maybe he understood what the teacher was trying to get them to understand...

(How did I know I'd get hit first???)

Naoki considered what he said about the padding, nibbling on her lower lip in thought. It assured her slightly, though she still didn't want to be hit by them. She nodded at Shin's suggestion and braced herself, watching how he threw the ball. She darted out of the way...or tried to. In true Naoki-fashion, she stumbled over her own feet. She didn't hit the ground though, and that thrilled her. However, it also distracted her from the incoming danger. The cannonball hit her square on the shoulder. With a cry, she was knocked down, skidding a couple of inches from the heavy weight of the projectile. Rubbing her now tender shoulder, she winced and reluctantly stood up, determined to continue. "I'm alright!" she was quick to assure Shin, so he wouldn't worry about her. She braced herself for the next cannonball, keeping in mind her now sore shoulder so she could try and protect it from a repeat hit.

Kicking the dirt at her feet as she walked with her chin held high, Tanu didn't look in front of her when she walked. She expected everyone else to clear the way for her to move through. The little green haired girl did this all the way through the village until she came to the academy... which was rather noisy! Running up to see what all the commotion was about, Tanu stared in disbelief when she saw her personal sensei, Tomoko, clinging to some strange man who she guessed was the sensei for class today. "Tomo-sensei!" Tanu yelled, mad that her teacher would act in such a way. Was everyone in this village except the Kage a cry baby or kid!? "Arg!" Tanu grunted, crossing her arms in front of her chest as she looked away from the sight. As she did, her red and green Kun Kumo eyes spotted Shin training with Naoki. He warned her about throwing the cannonball, but the dumb girl still got hit. Rolling her eyes to the sky, Tanu was disgusted at how nice Shin was being and how unskilled the girl was. Tanu didn't even recall her name or remember if she had even met her. The fact stood that Tanu didn't like her though. "SENSEI!" Tanu yelled again, hoping that Tomo would reliever herself from Jonu. She wanted to take part in this training for once... Chucking heavy balls at one another actually sounded fun.

"That person..." Shisei remembered immediately of the person. It was that boy who had ruined his catch from this morning. Well now, the serpent youth finally found someone he would prefer to hit rather than Shinobu. His eyes gazed at the shorter youth. With each passing second he became more irritated by their appearance.

A fading for this kid's shoes. Their brown pants also had a bit of the sakura color. Even the their shirt was the pink color. A dirtied pink, but still one none the less. It was irritating and weird to see a male wear so much of it. Light green hair that was in more disarray than a shrub. Worst of all, those eyes with their partial red tint. That was where most of Shisei's dislike for this person came from.

There was no worry or even second thought on the serpent boy's next move. He quickly went inside his pocket and took out the rock that was thrown earlier. His fingers instantly released the stone, not at a threatening speed, but at the same amount as the bully did this morning. It made a small knock upon his cranium that would surely get his attention.

"Hey you, boy. There's your rock back. Don't disturb my training again." his voice was loud enough that it probably got not only the attention of this new rival, but of the grappling teachers also. His gold pupils did not leave the face of the ruffled child.

{Yes Master @.@!}

Serena stood there for a few minutes, silently thinking about what to do. If she left, the pirate teacher would definitely catch her, for he was starting to walk around. If she didn't take the chance to leave though, he would just come back and start asking her stuff again. The Raiken's choice was immediately made for her, after a loud "BONZAI!", definitely from Tomoko. It was, in fact, a surprise attack, which even made her jump. She summed up the fact that Tomoko actually did have a backup plan, and now would be the time for her to run. Quickly, she got up and ran for it, trying to avoid being seen by any of the first years or the pirate, but it would be pretty tough for him with Tomoko hanging on him. She took only two seconds to look at the first years, but that cost her. Serena's balance went off and she stumbled a few steps, slowing her down a little bit. Hopefully, no one would yet see her. The Raiken just kept on running straight, trying to remember where Tomoko's home was..

Detecting Serena's Escape
DC: 11
1d20 + 2 Detect

"You know, you're terrible at sneaking around...." Shisei's voice stated loud enough for the entire room to hear. The gray eyed girl had tried to escape again, but the serpent youth would not have it. He wanted to make sure this girl got a deserved punishment from the rugged teacher. It may have been held off for a few hours because of sleep, but that still would not prevent it.

The dread locked head turned slightly over his shoulder to see the girl trying to creep over a few students. He didn't need to fully see her form to know where she was. Of course this presented a problem. There was the ruffian before him that would no doubt be willing to strike back, even if his back was turned. Yet he still couldn't let the cunning girl escape.

His small body turned sideways so he could keep an eye on both of them. Whoever made an unwanted move would have to be the one Shisei took care of. Although his peers could always get involved too. "Shinobu make yourself useful and detain the nameless girl with the ponytail. You are the star student of today so far. It shouldn't be a problem." the snake boy said to his peer with a slight mocking tone. His brain had not forgotten that the lanky boy was the only one who found the truth behind the first exercise. Hopefully Karite, the new girl and the hooded female would assist their teacher so Shinobu would have to face the requested task alone. It is time to see just how special he is.

Of course Shisei would go after her too if need be. If anything, just to out perform his taller peer. Still his business with the lime haired ruffian may not be finish just as yet.

The trenched coat girl watched Karite’s movements carefully as he finally stood to face her, she enjoyed the color of his eyes, and the way he struggled to find the words to speak, luckily he got over it. “Hello Karite, I’m Akiko nice to meet you.” She said offering a kind smile before continuing “It seems simple enough; let’s just hope I don’t get too bruised.” As she finished her sentence she turned to face the commotion, the young girl wasn’t sure what was going on but it didn’t seem too good. “I guess I’ll be on standby.” Akiko thought to herself keeping her gaze on boy with the dreads and the two he monitored, she wasn’t sure if she would be of much help, but she would try.

Karite smiled at Akiko but soon heard the commotion. The crazed girl from before had returned and was already starting something. when he saw Shisei throw a rock at her he smiled. It was his turn for some payback, but he wouldn't be throwing rocks. She tried to kill him with a kunai the night of the festival and it was his turn to return the favor. Turning towards Akiko as he began to pull out his only Kunai. "This may seem a bit crazy but I will explain after class if you would allow me, I would like to take you to the shoreline if at all possible."

Karite took a step forward and rolled his shoulder to warm it up before he launched the kunai. As to be fair he gave her a warning. "Shisei I suggest you move right now. Hey you with the green hair. This is for the night of the festival and calling me an old man." Karite took his right arm and wrapped it around his torso. Letting the Kunai fly he hopped it meet its target. While he was quick enough to dodge hers he hopped she was to distracted to dodge his. It did not matter though after the kunai had taken its intended course they would be even.

A few moments after sending the unfamiliar student out to find a training partner, Jonu was attack by none other than the woman who had had a hand in helping with his rescue. He didn't even notice her until she was directly in the air in front of him and that prevented him from even considering stepping out of the way. The maneuver surprised the former captain to such an extent that he was left speechless for a few moments.
"Oi, lassie! What be thah meanin' of this?"

Within the tight grasp of the island woman, Jonu could do little but turn his head towards the Orochi boy as he requested him as his partner. "It appears thah I be tied up for the moment. Yeh best find yourself another partner, lad." With that issue resolved for the time being, the man squirmed against the teen's grasp in an attempt to relieve himself. For her small size and young, she was extremely strong. He figured that that had a lot to do with why she had led such a capable squad on whatever kind of mission it was that involved his rescue. He gave up struggling for the time being and decided that he would try to figure out exactly why she had trapped him within the embrace.

[We're throwing cannonballs, not Kunai's. ^^; Strength is rather appropriate.]

As if Shin had witnessed the most horrifying scene, his face turned ghostly pale as the ball he threw hit his partner directly on the shoulder. "Naoki-chan!" Shin yelled in freight as she heard her quick cry of pain. He only took three steps before her fragile voice called out to him. 'I'm alright!' Her words were trying to be reassuring, but Shin couldn't help, but feel bad. "You can throw one back at me! Wait! I hit your shoulder. It would probably hurt throwing one at me! You can kick it at me! No, wait! That would hurt your foot! Ah!" Shin rambled faster than usual, as he began to panic his brain went scattered as he began throwing his hands up in the air and moving like he were agitated back and forth in one spot. The boy stopped his bumbling foolishness as he stopped to see that Naoki was already in position and ready for another one.

His brows furrowed inward and he wasn't able to hide his concern at all. The Nara was completely oblivious to everything around him as he only focused on Naoki at that moment. Suddenly, his face began to sparkle with admiration for the girl. "You're so courageous!" Shin said in a way a girl would dreamily think about a guy. The glow around him was like a shield to all other words. Even the calls of Shisei demanding him to be useful was blocked out as clouds of pink fuzziness surrounded him. "Ok!" He said, bending over to get ready to lob another one. "Get ready, Naoki-chan!" Shin said brightly before letting the cannonball whiz into the air.

(I don't suppose I'm missing some addition to my formula that makes running away from these things any easier, am I?)

Naoki gave Shin a look of obvious skeptism. Her, couragous? Had someone hit this boy too hard on the head in training or something? There were deer with more courage than her. She was just too stuborn to let pain bother her... Until the task was over, anyway. Unfortunately, the little cloud Shin seemed to be in didn't affect her. Her attention from Shin wavered as chaos seemed to explode. First there was a girl she wasn't familiar with who was obviously trying to get one of the teacher's attention, though both were obviously busy with each other. Shisei was not only antagonizing that girl with some help from Karite, but also trying to keep an eye on an older student who had apparently been caught spying on them. Even as Naoki tried to sort out the new information, she lost track of Shin's movements. The cannonball he threw thankfully hadn't been thrown real hard, but it did hit the arm of her sore shoulder. She couldn't help the slight cry of pain leaving her throat as the heavy metal jarred the sore limb. I seem to be collecting bruises... she thought dryly, stepping a few steps sideways from the force of the impact as she tried to keep her balance. "I need to focus more..." she muttered slightly, rotating and rubbing her arm. However, she smiled at Shin and said, "Nice throw, Shin-san! You really are good at this!"
