Sighing softly when she walked into the library, Naoki said under her breath, "They aren't here... Perhaps they went somewhere else." Tilting her head, she tried to think of where they could have gone. No where too dangerous, not with war coming, and there were people training in all the usually places. Perhaps, the playground? Only the smaller children would be there even on a day like today, so it would be a good place to do any kind of training. Nodding her head to agree with herself, she walked back outside, intending on finding Shin.

[The serpent child made his way to the library, but they had already closed for the night. It was not too late in the evening, but Shisei would take advantage and sleep early. That way he would rise early and start training again. With a last look at the building Shisei returned to the Tenmoki residence.]

Sukotto had spent the night in the library after realizing how quickly the time had passed while he was loosening his muscles. He had slept on the floor after figuring that any arrangement of the chairs would offer only temporary comfort, ultimately flaring his stresses and preventing him from getting the sleep that would be vital to his learning of the new taijutsu style buried within the books of Shimagakure's library. The moment his eyes opened, the genin began his search for books on taijutsu. Considering that his first sensei had been a taijutsu master, the Uchiha remembered that he had never observed her use the type of style that he was after. She did have a few tricks up her sleeves that he planned on finding out about some day, but his primary concern at that moment was strictly to find a leg-emphasized melee fighting style that would utilize his newfound speed.

The first book that Sukotto picked out was easy to find since he had read most of it before. Its content included a few basic styles and he figured that there would be a chance that he could modify or combine a few to discover what he sought out. Strangely enough, he found a lot of what he saw in the book dull. Before the Orochi mission, he had loved to read anything, even if it was his fourth or fifth time doing so. The library had a very limited selection and he had forced himself to adapt to that. However, something inside of him simply wanted to rush through everything without the work involved. Sukotto felt his heart sink a little as he started to become impatient already. He tried to shrug it off and read on.

After swallowing the negative feelings that threatened his research, Sukotto found it much easier to focus on the different styles listed in the book. There weren't too many to choose from and there was little variation between most of them. Additionally, a lot of them relied on strength as their main focus. He did see one that made use of acrobatics for avoiding attacks, but he had become so adept at dodging them regularly that it would have been way too much work to adopt two completely different ideas rather than just one. It was at this time that he wondered if the library would really be the solution to his problems, after all, there weren't too many authors that traveled outside of the village all that often. Most of the content was common knowledge, but with fancy and technical notation.

The Uchiha toyed with the idea of inventing his own taijutsu style from scratch, but the closest he had come to doing so was the dreamed up jutsu that may have not even been possible to perform. Besides, the technique that he would be inventing from scratch would have some chakra elements in it that Sukotto was already familiar with. Tree and water walking came to mind. When it came to taijutsu, however, he had very little background with any other style than the basic one taught in the academy. He never trained there, but considering that his foster-uncle hadn't emphasized actually sticking around in a fight, Sukotto had to observe the younger students from time to time so that he would have something to fall back on if he couldn't escape or ran out of chakra.

Unfortunately, even though he had accepted the fact of creating an original style, that still didn't get the shinobi any closer to finding one that he could learn. Nothing in the book that he was reading would give him enough information to do anything with, so he decided to return it to its shelve and search for another. He would begin, of course, by looking for more books specifically on taijutsu. However, he would also be looking for a certain book about the various known clans in existence. There was a slight chance that a one claimed a taijutsu that didn't require a kekkai genkai. After all, many forms of hand-to-hand combat were based around a philosophy to better understand the training and convince oneself of the style's 'true meaning'. Being as realistic as he was, Sukotto found it simply a social trait of humans to believe in such things, but he knew that doing so cleared their mind and allowed them to learn faster. He wouldn't have that advantage, so it was important that he obtained all of the research that he could before attempting to teach himself anything.

Sukotto found two books that held potential use within their pages and brought them to the table that he was researching from. As his bottom landed on the hard surface of the chair, he took a deep breath, shut his eyes, and leaned against the back of the seat for a moment. He was moving so quickly after just waking up that it was beginning to wear on him. Also, he was still injured from the Orochi mission. Although he was healing more quickly than he had upon arrival from the Haha Island mission, he could still definitely notice the affect on his body. After the moment of rest that he gave himself, he sat up straight in the chair and opened the smaller of the two books, getting right back to work on his studies.

It was when he read the first few words of the random section that he opened to that Sukotto perked up and regained his vigor. He had chosen to read the book about different clans and opened it to the section dedicated to the Huuga. The Uchiha couldn't believe that he hadn't thought of their style before, how it combined chakra and taijutsu on a higher degree than normal. Even though it wasn't what he was looking for and he would need the Bakugan to even consider that form, it still made him feel a little better about combining the technique that he dreamed up with a taijutsu style. After all, the Huuga were only born with the potential power of the Bakugan, it was up to the first members of their clan to come up with the taijutsu style and combine it with chakra and their kekkai genkai. That was all that he wanted to gather from the Huuga for the time being, so he flipped to the table of contents and scanned over the other clans in existence.

The Uchiha didn't intend on discovering the clan with a taijutsu capable of adopting his technique by looking through the table of contents. Instead, he wanted to read up on a different item unrelated to taijutsu at all. After finding the page he was looking for, he quickly flipped to it and began reading about the Nara clan. He had heard something about their techniques capable of being adapted by nonmembers. There wasn't too much information about them, as there were few of them in the village, but he had a better feeling about learning clan-specific techniques after reading about their people. Before looking over the book's section on them, he had had a slight bit of fear that it would be impossible to learn something if it came from a different clan. It wouldn't be possible for every clan technique, but at least he knew that there was a slight chance of finding something usable.

After a few more pages, Sukotto noticed a very small section dedicated to small bands of people who hadn't officially called themselves clans. However, these groups did in fact have unique jutsu that one or more of the members wielded. Since they weren't part of clans, most of these techniques didn't require a specific genetic trait to execute. One group, whose symbol was that of a dragon seemed to have been developing some form of taijutsu. By the single illustration of the stance, it seemed that there was a potential that it was based around the use of one's legs, but Sukotto couldn't be positive. He began to toy with the idea of looking around the library for more on this particular group, but even if anything else did refer to them, it wasn't likely that there would be much more information than was held in the book about clans. His only hope would be a storybook of some kind, but that would be extremely hard to locate, considering that dragons were used in many places and he hadn't learned the name from the text that he had read.

It was then that Sukotto realized that the answer to his problem had a chance of being outside of the confines of the library. After all, the chances that every single document in the village being kept in the library was slim. In addition, whatever he was looking for to point him in the direction of this mysterious group of people may not have been a book at all. The library wasn't likely to keep any kind of notes or scribbling on record, anyway. Sukotto's eyes continued to skim the pages in the book about clans, but his mind was too fixated to focus on the content. He needed to think about where the best possible location of hidden documents would be. The genin disregarded any clan houses, since this group of people hadn't gained enough influence to become known as one. He also knew the obvious: There weren't any local clans that used a dragon as their emblem.

Sukotto was thankful to have kept his emotions in check. He had become so absorbed in the hunt for more information about the group who honored the dragon that any negativity would have been suppressed. And then from out of nowhere, his solution formed itself in his mind. Ichi's office would definitely have some documents that the library didn't have access to. He would have to be wary about entering the building though. It was likely that some of the higher ranking shinobi would require information after hearing about Ichi not returning from the Orochi mission. Sukotto figured that Aya would definitely have spread the news, taking her personality into account. He wasn't sure what he had mumbled to her on the boat, but by gauging her emotion in the clinic, it was bluntly obvious. The Uchiha's rage began to build up once again, but wouldn't last as he rose from his seat, carefully placed the books back upon their shelves, and made his way to the best possible location that any documents of use would have been kept.

The Uchiha entered the library shivering and wet, but his lack of comfort didn't stop him from retrieving a writing utensil and a piece of parchment and then finding himself a seat. He quickly set out to draw up a blueprint from which he would refer to in learning his new technique. The design would have to focus on three things: Preparing his body for the techniques execution, making his body memorize the style, and using the principles of it in various ways, which would combine the first two points of focus.

Sukotto began to brainstorm about ideas for preparing his body to utilize the technique properly. His agility was sufficient enough, he figured, but mastering the jutsu would take a degree of control and focus that could be emphasized with specific training. He merely needed to determine what sort of training it would take to do so.

Although Sukotto had no immediate success in thinking up a way to train his body to use the new technique, he remained hopeful in his thought process. He realized that it would be better to concentrate on one element at a time, so he decided to take the first stage of training into consideration first.

To determine if his body was even ready to begin with, Sukotto figured that a test of endurance would be useful. He was confident in his abilities, but hadn't tested them since the last time he had fought, which hadn't ended up going the way he had hoped it would. This time around, he would be sure to be ready so that his own training wouldn't defeat his spirits.
