Tanabata
Unless it is too similar to that festival we had way back where people wrote down stuff on paper and let it float away. Or even based on it.
Or this xp Although it might leave women out. Apparently there is a separate youth version of this festival. Which is mixed genders.

A tournament would be cool. All members of the village fight against each other within their own rank of course and the winners receive a prize. Weather it be a new weapon, or a wish from the Kage. That would be kind of cool.

eek biggrin blaugh That would be awesome if I could! I will work on it now since I don't have much anything else to do but go to work! I will have a mock copy up in no time flat ((More than likely Friday or Saturday night)). I could use some helo as well. The crew knows the village better then I do.
All shinobi of the village are welcome to partake in the first annually winter royale. This tournament is to show what we all have learned in our time since the spring. All members are given a number. That number matches another member of you rank. The morning of _____ you will report to the designated battle field where a referee will be waiting. Due to the large amount of certain ranks some will have more referees then other. The winner of the fight will move on to the next round. The loser will be shifted out of the rankings the finalist of their categories will fight in front of the Kage for honor and a chance to ask for one wish from the Kage. Academy students: Sparring rings Genin: Bamboo Forest Chunin: Lagoon and waterfall Jounin: Forest of Sorrows Anbu: Booni Island

Could we turn the sparring tournament into a full blown sports festival? It'd give those who aren't sparring something to do since fights could last several days.

You've went up a bunch of points in my book, Karite!
Edit: I think that to determine who should go first, each contender must roll 1d20 with their entrance post, the winner of it deciding who posts first!

Why thank you McClane. yes, I like that as well.
On the day of announcement all members will be told what numbers to roll to see who you fight, after such roll you will wait till you are told to go to your battle sites and once you enter for your fight you will roll 1d20 to see who attacks first.
Winning: Defeat your opponent Losing: Hp drops to 0 or you decided to at any time forfeit.

I think we had something similar to this back in WotN. Before each fight, you'd roll an Initiative Roll (1d20 + Agi mod) to see who went first.

I don't remember that exactly but I did work up the sports for you Aznka
Dodge ball: Want to play a friendly game while still bringing the heat. Dodge ball is the game to play at the academy
1d20 + throw 1d20 + dodge or tumble
Capture the flag: Hit the playground and see who has the most skills as you try to capture the other teams flag
1d20 + sprint
1d20 + grapple
1d20 + dodge or tumble.
Defend and conquer: The village belongs to you. Two teams one base. Use ever skill you have in your arsenal to take the base and to defend it. Move through the village unseen and break in like a real Shinobi. Let no one stop you.

Great! Why don't we discuss this by PM or MSN? Don't want to spoil the surprise for everyone else!
If anyone else has any ideas for sports, by all means, please PM me your suggestion. biggrin

I know the village gets attacked a lot but why don't we spice things up even more for everyone. MEHO'S. reading their background information they are sometimes hired to murder people, well since this is the one village everybody seems to dislike it would not be odd for some to pay the Meho's a large sum of money to attack the island. Once again just a thought, I probably spend to much time on here as it is.
