Kai Bogard I want to know, when I am on Destiny Island day 1 of 3, what kinds of things should I do to max out Sora's leveling? For this, you should battle Riku, Selphie, Tidus, and Wakka. The best order to do this would be: Selphie, Wakka, Tidus, all of them together, and then Riku.

Cool! Now how high of leveling should we go when battling these 4?
Like say I battle with Selphie, and just Selphie for now... what level should I get Sora before moving on to my next "opponent"?

Well, it's not always about what level your on, but your technique. Like for Selphie, she swings her jumprope and tries to hit you with the handle, so you have to time it right and hit the jumprope when she goes to hit you. If you succeed, her attack will be deflected and the handle bounces back and hits her in the head. If you fail, Sora just gets a nice bruise on his noggin. l_~ I can tell you how the others fight, if you need that too.

What I want... is a story! I want a story on exactly how you played this game from beginning to end.
Like... isn't there a tutorial first? And... what did you choose and give up?
I heard there are a total of 6 possible ways in terms of weapons/magic/and defense you get and then there are 3 different levels with an additional 9 or so possible ways to get a certain difficulty.
A true explorer would try each way, having like as many files as there are choices, adding to the fun.

Wow! Thats asking a lot from me, but I chose the Sword, and gave up the magic Staff. I'm listening to Axel's theme right now, so it has me 'fired' up. > biggrin Sorry, bad pun, but I just feel excited listening to it. To set the difficulty of your game, you talk to Selphie, Tidus, and Wakka in the tutorial.

(I love puns like that and wish there were more like it!)
Okay, so what options did you choose and what difficulty did you get?
I heard that there are three difficulties. Easy begins at Dawn, Normal Mode is Midday, and Difficult is at dusk.

Do you remember what questions you answered?
Egypteyes, what I am trying to get you to do, like you are doing for KH2, is tell us a sort of walkthrough.
That one you are doing for KH2 is interesting. We are finding out all about a character named Roxas.
This is for those who haven't played the game before not just me and my alts, though we do have honest questions for later on, which we can get to together.
Okay, so we know there is a midday option, but... new question... how to get it?
If I remember right, Selphie, Tidus and Wakka all ask you a question with three options.
But, is this what happens first like the very first thing? I thought there was something before it.

That's because there is something that happens before the options of difficulty.
Your character named Sora is falling. Falling into a world of darkness unawares that he has in fact, fallen asleep on the beach of his homeworld called Destiny Islands.
When he lands, he discovers that he is standing on top of a glass table of sorts. It has these neat designs on it, which makes Sora wonder where he is.
Suddenly a voice calls to him. It is a familiar voice, but he cannot place whose voice that is. (We never find that out, so we have to use our imaginations as to whom is speaking to Sora.)
The voice tells him not to be afraid of where he is and that nothing is going to harm him.
Then, a spotlight and a door appears. Now Sora is really curious as to know where he is.
The voice reminds him to be brave, and so, Sora walks towards the light. The voice then praises him for being brave. Suddenly, a giant crate appears! You are commanded to simply move the crate over to make the door more visible.
After he does that, feeling a bit frustrated as to not getting the question he really wants answered, demands of the voice for the next task in a synical type way.
So, Sora's wish is granted and is ordered next to lift a barrell and throw it!
The barrell breaks and Sora opens the door.
The next thing that happens is that he is asked to choose a weapon. For this weapon is to determine what type of a heart Sora has.
Is he... Brave like a warrior? If so, Sora will pick up the sword of Courage.
Is he... strong like a mountain ready to defend anyone in his path? If so, Sora will pick up the Shield.
Or... is Sora's heart the Mystical type, steeped deep with an inner magic that few can unlock its secrets? If so, then Sora will pick up the Staff of the Mystic.
By choosing one of these three only merely reflects what kind of a person you are and what the enemies will likely do that is opposite of what you have chosen.
So, if you had chosen the sword, then the enemies are likely to try and flee before you get a chance to hit them.
If you chose the shield, those enemies are going to be all over you like bees to their hive.
If you chose the staff, well, the enemies are going to try to defeat you with dark magic instead of the light one you are equipped with.

OMG, Andy, wow! Now this is the type of walkthrough I wanted!
This not only gives insight to what happens in the game, but it doesn't necessarily spoil anything either.
You tell it like it is and what the tutorial is trying to say.
Plus you gave a bit of a storyline to it, which is what walkthroughs like this should have.
So, what happens next?

Next, the voice tells you, once you've chosen your first choice of three, what are you willing to give up in exchange.
Now Sora will likely be thinking what kind of crackpot voice is in my head? Did I have too many coconuts this morning or something?
Ha ha ha! Sorry, that was a joke.
Seriously though, you now must choose which of the three will you want to give up.
Now by giving up anything will reveal what you are definitely not and again, this will determine once and for all what types of enemies are likely going to try and stop you.
So, if you give up the sword of courage, you are basically saying that you would rather run from enemies than fight them head on. The enemies are likely going to chase you each time you do try and run away.
If you give up the shield, then it means you would rather fight the enemies and not care what happens. This would add more fun, but it also would likely make the enemies slightly tougher than if you didn't give this up.
If you give up the power with you means you have no creativity and you are either attack or defend. This means that if you do try something original, the enemies are likely going to stop you.
Again, it is up to you, but this is going to decide how the enemies are going to defend themselves against your attacks, whereas the first options were going to show how the enemies are likely going to attack you.

Whoa.... now that would make the decision of what to choose much more difficult, but at the same time, it does make it clear as to whatever you choose, you will know how the enemies will attack or defend.
This makes sense to what egypteyes was getting at with levels of difficulty.

Hmph, well, anyone who has seriously taken the time to analyze how the game actually goes without speeding through it just wanting to get it finished as if they are about to eat something they dislike that is good for them so to speak, then they would have seen something similar than what I already have.
And, ironically, for as knowledgeable that I am with this game, I too have questions that need answering.
I am just a bit farther ahead than some of us are.
I just take the time to know what I am doing first before just going ahead and doing things.
At any rate... the next thing that happens is since you have chosen the ways in which your enemies will try and harm you, now is the time to practice.
Please note: that when you see the creeper, analyze how it moves. You should see then what I mean by the path you chose.

Well, it is good advice, but it doesn't help if one doesn't pay attention.
After taking care of this one creeper, you get to learn about the treasure chest, where you walk up to a chest, select open, thus your keyblade will open it most of the time.
Later on, you will see some that requires something else to be done first. But, for now, just focus on that.
Anyway, once you open the chest and get a potion, then another door appears. Walk through it without trouble.
Next is your save point. Save your game! As soon as you see these things, save it! Otherwise, you may lose what you have done! And one never knows when blackouts are to happen. So, its good advice to do so.
Anyhow, once you get your game saved from this point, you get to climb some steps. By now, Sora is pretty sure that whatever is happening has something to do with his idea about going to other worlds with his friends Kairi and Riku.
After you climb this tower, you get some more practice in with a few more creepers, then comes another door. Or... I may be slightly confused.
If I am confused, then when you open the treasure chest, and you go through the door... yep... I was.
You now must choose the level of difficulty in the game.
