Kaileena scowled; what was with these people? All the bowing and scraping and the muttering of stupid little 'yes, my lady' and 'no, my lady' all over the place. No one did that at home, and Her Majesty Queen Kaileena of Etallaid, eighty-ninth ruler of Earth, was not pleased that all of a sudden, her servants had started doing it at as soon as they had arrived at the Vantu.
Everything about the situation set her off; she didn't want impending doom brought down upon them all, she didn't want to be there, she didn't want to have to be civil towards either Metal or Darkness, and she certainly didn't want to sit through a stuffy ceremonial ball, or the day-long meetings that would follow until a solution presented itself. The woman's scowl deepened furthur.
As soon as the last of her people were out of the carriage, Kaileena opened the door and stepped out, ignoring the helping hand the footman. She breezed through the open doors, past the servants standing in the entrance hall, and swept up the stairs, the heavy muslin of her skirt fluttering behind her in her wake. Th doors to her usual rooms were open and waiting for her; her things were already being put away by her maid, Lorenne. Kaileena's eyes narrowed. Already, they were invading her private space. She knew she shouldn't feel like that, especially when here were more important things going on, but she did; she fled to the library to be alone, at least for as long as she could be.

It was a cloudy afternoon outside, and a young ruler was located at the large pool behind the castle of Vantu. Nimble feet walked back and forth across the top of the pool of water, very graceful and very dance like. The long blue hair swished about Queen Silvia of Aruora as she danced about, but instead of deep concentration had her head in a notepad, a quill in hand as she took many notes about each Kingdom and a review list of things done and needed to do. This was a review for the young ruler: she had been preparing and studying for their arrival to get as little conflict as possible. After all, it was her job to see if all the Kingdoms could ban together and bring peace back to everyone. If only they all weren’t so stubborn…..little flowers decorated the pool and bugs and birds made their noises quietly as the Water ruler thought aloud.
“Let’s see, starting off with small things…………official colors and customs of each area. I think I got all the color schemes correct. Fire room has lavishing red color, Deep green for Earth, Golden yellow for Light, Gray for Metal, LIGHT blue for Air, and black for Darkness. Water is obviously blue, and the main rooms are a mix of all colors, to present unity. Very nice blending of colors touch in the rooms; that should ease tensions and show equality in a wordless way. Good job to the decorators.
There are obvious friends and enemies, but must be courteous to all to get something done.
Then to more important things: the possible arguments and how to counteract them to get a agreement of unity. No matter what, the goal needs to be peace. Mention how it’d be safer for all the people that us as rulers….well, rule over and protect. The least amounts of fighting and death, the better. Being greedy with the land will only result in arguments, so……..
Last, KEEP CONTROL OF TEMPERS! One angry side leads to all angry sides, which leads to war and killing and bloodshed and tears…..”
The girl sighed and closed her book, looking up at the sun that was beginning to set. She was medium height to tall, graceful as a swan, as she‘d heard before from some townsfolk. She hoped dearly this would work out; she was gonna lose sleep most likely….
“Your Highness; the others are arriving! Perhaps you should come inside.” a maid called out from the door of the castle out to Silvia.
“Alright, I’m on my way!” the young woman responded, running across the water like a mystic fairy. Reaching the end near the door and jumping onto the surface, she shook the little water there was on her feet out of her shoes, and entered the building. Oh, how she was nervous. But she needed to both take control, and give it to others.
As she entered, she felt a cool breeze from outside. Hm, it would rain soon. She could feel it in her bones. A foreshadowing move much? She shook this from her mind as she saw many maids and handymen scurry about; despite her offer to take her own things up to her room, the maids had already done so. She didn’t like all this noise; she wanted to be back outside where it was nice and quiet…..
