"He was only nine summers... nine!" Lucas was practically weeping looking into Tinania's face. He shook his head a little bit when she mentioned his father. "I will have to see him sometime... But right now I just want to let this sink in... poor Tenneth..."

He was shaking now, and he knew it... He must have looked like a mess.

Lucas finally broke down, and burring his face into her shoulder he wept, as Dr. Vhen slowly exited out of the back door heading towards the keep. He would take his time, it would be unfair of him to let Lucas be seen by his father in his current state.

Lucas clung to her for a moment, and after about five minutes of sobbing, he slowly pulled back, and wiped his eyes. "I'm okay," He said softly, looking around a bit. "Could you see if you could find me some water... My throat hurts..."

Lucas nods and wipes his eyes a bit more, drinking deeply from the cup after taking it into his hands. He takes a few shaky breaths and holds the cup tight in this hands to keep himself from shaking. It was all he could do, he felt. And slowly, very slowly, he started to feel human again.

Taking another deep breath and another long drink he finally placed the cup down on the side table and stood, looking towards the door. "There will be justice..." He murmured softly to himself, or at least he thought to himself, though surely Tinania would have heard him being as close as she was.

Turning then he held out a hand to her and smiled. "I need to clean up a little bit, then we shall face my father together..."

Lucas nods, and slowly letting go of her hand he smiles and heads to the bathroom to wash up quickly. When he came back out he sat down next to her on the bed and smiled. He was feeling a little better, it still hurt, but he wasn't going to dwell on that now.

He didn't have the time.

He heard his father enter before he saw him... And he almost didn't want to look up when he heard his father enter the building.

When Lucas looked up at his father he almost froze, his body stiffened slightly, and his face turned into a frown. Lucas knew he was looking at his future, and with what small vanity he had he was glad to see his father was aging well. His hair was white like his son's, his hair was long not cut short, and his eyes were a deep violet. The only real thing marking a real difference between the two men was the fact that Lucas had horns and his father did not. That and the age wrinkles around his father's eyes, which Lucas was not used to seeing.

"I see you have come back," His father's voice was deep and gruff.

"Yeah, not by choice,"

"There is always a choice, you could have skirted Fair Haven,"

"My wife would be dead then."

"... You got married?"

"Yeah, I got married."

"And had a child too I see... You've been busy since you left..." The older man chuckled grimly, running a hand through his hair. Shaking his head a bit he cocked a small smile. "Well at least I know you have an heir now, which makes it that much easier to legitimize you."

"I won't accept it..." Lucas said instantly, his eyes darting to Tinania and Senji. "I won't put my family into that sort of risk. I'm sorry... Father," The word father dripped venom so sharp the man recoiled.

"I don't understand... When you left you would have given anything to be part of the family, I know so beause you said as much as you left... I am giving that to you, and you would throw it in my face?"

Lucas laughed and shook his head. "I wanted to be part of the family then... When we were one... You only want to legitimize me to make sure the other Lords of Haven don't come knocking on your door to divide your holdings... No father, you made this mess yourself... You will have to lie in it..."

"I know who killed your brothers," Lucas' father said candidly, turning from his son to look over Tinania and the infant. "I know because she would have wanted you to take this opertunity..."

Lucas' eyes suddenly widened, and his hands, one of them gripping the end of the bed, were shaking. "You don't mean..."

"Yes... Your mother."

Lucas turned and looked at Tinania. He felt his heart freeze as he looked into her eyes, and he finally broke his gaze and sighed.

"Fine..." He said quietly. "Let us get our things and we'll head to the keep, and sort this out there.... This isn't the place to do this... and If my mother... if she..."

He took a deep breath and stepped away from the bed. "Justice will be served one way or the other then..."

Lucas seemed different now. His features were more defined, his eyes had a strange sort of light to them. If Tinania had been paying attention to him before he left on his missions, she would realize that this is what he looked like when he was devoted to his duty.

This was the face of honor.

The older man looked down at Tinania and without a word, he knelt down and took the child from her arms, holding him up and looking him over. He was gentle, as if he was checking a priceless antique. He smirked and turned to look at Lucas. "So... Did you happen to have any Milkmen in the village with dark hair and claws?" He asked, his voice denoting that he knew that Lucas' claim wasn't as sturdy as he would have liked to think. With that said, he smiled at the child and made a gentle noise, holding a finger out for it to play with.

"No... But you did catch us... We adopted him." Lucas smiled a bit squeezing Tinania's hand back to let her know that they could talk about this a bit more later. He knew there was no sense in totally lying to his father, since well... He'd figure it out sooner rather than later, the man was too damn quick... And Lucas' blood to boot.

The Older man smiled at the infant, letting the child play with the finger. He didn't mind, he cooed lightly to the child, chuckling a bit. "You like my finger?" He asked gently, before shifting his eyes to Lucas. "I see... Well there is nothing wrong with that."
