"That's... How my mother and father met." He chuckled softly, giving his head a light toss that sent his almost lion-like mane fluttering against his neck. "Mother calls it fluff... It's a lot like my father's. Mother says that I take after him a lot..."

"That's nice...mine met on the beach, not important though." she reassured before looking at him. "Fluff," she repeated, before shaking her head. "I look like mine too, sometimes mom gets sad when she looks at me, cause I remind her of him but nothing I can do about it. She's running with this new fellow now. He's interesting, real quiet he is.

"The beach..." He thought on that for a moment, tail giving a soft flicker against his hind legs. "I've never been there before... But I've heard stories. Mother... Says that it's beautiful." He nodded slowly. "That the sand stretches on and the ocean disappears into eternity."

"We could go there," she took a pause. "you know." her own tail flicked behind her as she watched him. She looked up the sky and then back to Swynion. "What, do you say?"

He pondered that for a moment as he listened to the trees around him. Unlike his family he had never strayed too far from this place... And yet he did want to get out and he did want to see the beautiful sights and sounds.
"I... Think that I would like that." He nodded, smiling after a moment. "Is it a very long trip... Between here and the sea?"

She nodded, "Yes." she responded. "Be, there at dawn." she looked to him and then back at the sky, her tail flicked behind her, wondering if he'd still like to go. She usually roamed far and wide, settled for a week or two and then repeated the pattern. She had no reason to settle down, so she kept up the habit.

She attempted to smile, she hadn't had a genuine smile since the incident. "It is," she replied simply. She had no reason to talk anymore if she was just going to lead the way, and she had nothing else to say. It still hurt when she talked to much, she was used to the simplicity of not talking. The silver mare lead off into the trees and into the darkness.

He followed along after her, staying close enough that he could keep his eyes out for her yet far enough for comfort between them, not wanting to get too close to any sort of personal space or boundaries. The silence was nice between them and, oddly enough, there was something comfortable about it; simply being able to travel with someone without an overabundance of needing to explain things. On top of that the scenery was beautiful and he was finding things in the forest that he had never come across before.

The female led them through trees over and down hills, past streams and countless numbers of clearings. She would be getting tired if she wasn't in shape and wasn't used to this sort of travel, but she was. Occasionaly she glanced over her shoulder to make sure he was still their. Her pale lavendars clanced up ahead to see a familiar land mark, a cliff in the shape of an arrow. She knew that they were getting closer with every step. As they crossed a patch of brush all they had to do was haul themselves down a ravene and they'd be on the beach. Almost perfect timing, the sky was starting to turn into beautiful hues of orange, at the horizon, as the sun began to rise.

He paused, head tilting up towards the sky. It was past the time that he usually found a place to rest until he woke again, but they were so close... So close and it was already this beautiful. His eyes were filled with awe and wonderment until they closed, ears listening close until he was certain that he heard the sound of the waves rolling in and crashing on the shore before pulling back towards the sea.

Raina started sliding down the ravine but with one last leap and a passing through the brush, her hooves hit fine white sand and the smell of salt enveloped her and the stallion. She looked back at him with a soft smile as she fell to her knees and then laid down and watched the horizon. She motioned for him to come sit with her and watch it. "C'mon, I dun't bite."

He almost panicked as he saw her slide, relaxing only as he saw her land safely. He, on the other hand, picked his way carefully down, not nearly as adventurous as she was. He couldn't help but smile as he caught up to her, glancing down for a moment before looking up to the sky. "... I've never seen colors this beautiful before..."

"It has all the colors, but only when it wants to show them." she replied weakly. "Never the same." she added as she looked and listened to the sound of the rushing waves. Her eyes were peeled as she watched the dolphins and other creatures wake. It was stunning out.
