OKAY you dumb mother ********. lay off Imani. seriously tho, alot of you don't know s**t on our legal system.
1st of all the way our legal system is set up you can't even accumulate that many years. You prolly heard what they could charge him with, not with what they sentenced him with. they take the worse things that happened within a crime, and its built upon that. depending on the severity of the crime, and the dependents- is how they dish out the sentences.
dependents can involve - if or not a gun was used in the robbery, how many people were robbed, if anybody was hurt or killed, how people were involved, etc.
also the court takes in the criminal liablity. such as did the criminal know what they were doing, was it an accident, self defense, were they being forced to rob them, are they mentally ill, if there was duress, etc.
It can also be though if he had previous felonies. Law is very strict, if you ******** up 3 times- you're done. You lose your rights. Robbery (both armed and strong-arm) are Part 1 offenses with homicide, rape, assault, burglary, larceny, vehicle theft, and arson. You get caught doing any of those 3 times. Goodbye. You're done. Life wasted.
but as i was saying according to our BILL OF RIGHTS criminals have constitional laws and due procress, which means the courts can not treat them unfairly. So - most likely if he does well in prison, his life sentence will be shortened. Unless ofcourse he's already had more than this charge against him.
Also about the second degree murder. 2nd degree murder happens when it isn't planned out or thought about doing. such as self defense, or even out of passion. Difference between first degree and 2nd, is 1st degree is clearly plotting or planning to kill someone. 2nd degree, you can only get a maximum of 10 years in prison.
and seriously, come on now about neighborhoods. I grew up southside milwaukee. You shouldn't blame someone's actions on their neighborhood. thats ******** ridiculous.

Random facts-
Everytime an officer kills someone on duty, a homicide goes on their record. It's called a justified homicide. But stays on the record anyways.
Killing a police canine is = to killing an officer. You will get life.
We, the people, created the law to fufill individuals' constitutional rights. So- if you're calling the system corrupt, what are you saying about yourself?

punishment should fit the crime, i agree, and obviously here that isnt happening, but shizzle is right, you break the law, you are going to face the consequences. every decision you make in life has a consequence.

check that s**t out law 21 says if you break into someone's house and try to rob them. you will be killed and buried in that yard. Makes our system no where near as harsh.
