Silver hadn't moved from his crate yet, giving in into his laziness for the time being, but then he'd heard it.
A voice... a beautiful voice, like crystal, pure... It made him freeze.
Another mystery he couldn't ignore.
The dark-skinned man leaped off his crate, and went to mingle among the crowd in turn - perhaps he would find the owner of that beautiful voice that way ?

"Yeah we ought to go somewhere and talk. I think we can leave them for a moment." Mia mused as she looked around for a moment, trying to figure out a good place to sneak off too. "Lead on." She smiled at Lan, deciding that she had found the get away last time, and that he was capable of finding one this time.
"Nice to meet you Krinn." Sable curtsied. She didn't like being left with the short haired boy and would have preferred the man attempting to sneak away with the strange woman she met this morning when she woke. "I'm Sable..." she looked over to Mia and noted that she wasn't watching before the girl leaned into whisper into the boy's ear "want to explore with me while those two go off?" she suggested, not sure if it would be a bad thing. Mia was obsessed with "bad things" and what she should and shouldn't do.

"Yes, I guess..." Lan glanced back at the boy he had in tow. Krinn knew how to get home, but he wasnt sure about leaving him, even for a moment. Then again, they really did need to talk and glanced back at the two. "Krinn dont do anything stupid please..." he muttered before looking back at Mia. The two would be fine...he hoped. They were old enough atleast. Instead of starting at such a young age when they were born, the two seemed to be fine young children with smarts enough. "I'll lead the way but if those two get in trouble...." Lan sighed. He didnt finish his sentence. Even if he did, it wouldnt matter. Anyways, he had enough faith in Krinn. And the kid always wanted to explore too. But that wasnt neccesarily a good thing. Looking down, Lan shooed Sona over to Krinn, but before then he whispered to the cat "Keep an eye on them and come to me if anything happens." Before letting the cat jump onto Krinns shoulder and wrap around him comfortably.
Glancing over at Mia, Lan smiled. "Well since it wont take that long I'm sure we can leave those two without much trouble...hopefully." Starting down the cobblestone sidewalk, he glanced back once more at Krinn. Be careful. He thought silently, but Krinn was already planning something devious with Sable by the look on his face. Looking at Mia, Lan smiled a bit. "I know the perfect place to chat." He said, putting his arms behind his head and leading them to a small bookshop that also served as a cafe in the back. Entering, he listened to the door jingle and made way to the back as the manager peaked over and realized it was a regular customer and his friend. Opening a door to the outback seating area, Lan bowed and let Mia out before him then took a seat on the pateo that overlooked the water and town. He realized no one was really there as of yet and began to talk. "Krinn...I'm pretty sure Krinn was the bottle before he showed up infront of me." He rubbed the back of his head. "I bet that sounds insane. Because it still does in my head, but he said he remembered my voice and what I said, and the only time I said that was in the presence of the bottle..." He grinned sheepishly. "I guess it kind of makes sense...in a very odd way..." He looked at the girl. "What about you?"
Watching Lan walk away with a small grin, Krinn glanced back at Sable and smiled. "Do you know where to start exploring?" He asked, smiling mischeviously. Just like Sable, he seemed to enjoy adventure even for being a moody little guy. Krinn hadnt been out of Lans sight since he had been found by him, and it was nice to get a little freedom though Sona was on his shoulder making sure he didnt do anything stupid. In a way, Lan had sent him a furry bodyguard companion, but that was alright. Sona was pretty lenient. "I heard there are some pretty cool places behind the market place." He offered smiling. He lifted his face though, hearing a voice on the wind for a split second. It was beautiful and melodic, and somehow familiar...but then again, he couldnt quite tell. Knowing not to go over the deep end unless he wanted Lan to give him a lecture, Krinn felt the key to the apartment in his pocket just incase and glanced over at Sable. "So where should we go?" he asked mischeviously.

"Well," Mia began, "The bottle was there when I went to sleep, and sable was there when I woke up." she explained, "She said she had no idea of anything other than waking on my table in the middle of the night, and she claims there was never a bottle there." She must have sounded insane too, but at this point she was pretty much an anything goes gal... that or she'd be in the loony house by now.
Sable, once she was sure both of the "figureheads" were gone, crossed her arms in two different directions "Let's start here and go that way." she said, smiling. "That way we can see everything, after all it wouldn't be exploring if we knew the destination!"

Toni was running at high speed trying to weave in and out of the crowds of people without knocking anyone down. She was late. AGAIN. Continually glancing at her watch as she ran, she cursed under her breath with every glance knowing that her butt was on the line with every minute that passed. Her boss would have a field day with how late she was. She knew, for sure, that she wouldn't hear the end of it this time.

Lan rubbed his head, trying to figure it out. "I think its pretty obvious what the bottles have turned into..." And then he chuckled a bit. "And Krinn's just as moody." He sighed and looked over at Mia, knowing they both must have thought they were insane. "I decided to take care of him because he had nowhere to go and I had been pretty attached to the bottle..." He said, sighing. "Even though hes quite a hassle." He wondered how Sable was, and what she might have been like. Krinn seemed to be the moody, ever so curious little boy and Sable seemed like an adventure type girl. Looking at Mia with odd curiousity, he pondered this for a bit. "Well it seems like you and me are stuck in the same situation." he said with a smile as he thought of it. It wasnt so bad..... Even though Lan was horrible at taking care of kids and what not, it still worked....he supposed. Though supposing and knowing for sure were quite different. "Do you know what you're going to do at all? I'm pretty sure I'm going to be taking care of Krinn for awhile." He asked Mia quietly as the waiter came by to see if they wanted anything to drink. Lan just ordered hot chocolate and called it a day.
Krinn glanced at Sable's crisscrossed arms and laughed. "Sable I think we'll get along quite well." He said, wondering if Lan would ever allow him to do this again. It didnt matter, he would enjoy himself while he could before the guardian man came around for him. He was quite content at the moment. Exploring was always a wonderful option to choose and Krinn would never give up the chance when offered. "So then, lets start in the most random direction which is...." Krinn put a finger to his lip in thought, then twirled on his feet. Starting in the direction of the one of Sables pointed fingers, which led to the more secluded part of the market where trinkets that were expensive and imported lay in wait. There were also probably hidden passage ways, or old ruins, or maybe some odd out garden that had every kind of rarity you could imagine. Daydreaming, Krinn looked back with a smile on his face. "What're we waiting for? Lets get started then!"

Toni came skidding to a halt when she made it around back to the shop, but only a second too late. She found herself colliding with a table nearby the gate, flailing helplessly to grab something sturdy as she fell flat on her butt. The table and a chair followed suite falling with a loud clang.
"... Owwww," She moaned as she rubbed her side and took a minute to recover before standing. She noticed her boss was looking through the window so she quickly scurried to pick up the chair and table she managed to knock over. She looked around, finally noticing the few customers nearby and managed a meager "sorry" before dashing off to the door.
"I'm sorry I'm late!" She called to her boss.

Mia grinned "I really have no idea what to make of Sable. She seems like a sweet girl... but she did tie my hair in knots this morning thinking that she had done me a favor." Mia ordered spiced tea, seeing as she had just recently eaten. "If she is the bottle and I refused her I'd be afraid of what the gods would do to me. I found the bottle by fate, and she grew by fate... it just seems the gods have their hands wrist deep into this whole mess." The drinks promptly arrived and Mia blew on hers to cool it before sipping, "So I'm taking care of her. I just don't know why people are leaving these bottles about, and if you and me both managed to get our hands on them... how many more children like Krinn or Sable exist do you think?"
Sable smiled back, the place this boy had suggested seemed highly interesting, new and yet, oddly exciting. Like some sort of adventure lay beyond the bounds, not to mention the immediate shiny things. "Lets go!" she took off towards the direction that Krinn had chosen, she made sure not to go to fast so that he could catch up, but still enjoyed the thrill of what was to come.

Laughing at the little story, Lan smiled and sipped his drink, wondering about it. "The gods...." He murmured. Were they the ones behind it? Or just one of them perhaps? Lan didnt know. He wanted to, but it was so hard to figure out with all of the current situation things. Lan sighed. Why did this always make his brain hurt? Krinn.....were there really others like him and Sable out there? And were they everywhere, or just in Amies?
Lan thought about what Mia had said. "Fate just seems to be showing up more and more..." He said, taking a sip of his hot chocolate as it came by. "I was lead to the bottle by my cat, and then I followed blindly to the place where Krinn became a child." He paused, sipping his hot chocolate once more and considering what she had just said in his mind. More bottles? Yes, he supposed. How many more were there around? And how did they come to be. "I think...." He started, trying to figure out his own thoughts. "That whoever made these bottles made each one unique on its own." He paused again. "Even though they are exactly the same in shape, their colors are different and it seems when they become children they have personalities that are all different and odd." He sighed and wondered what he could think of now. How many? Well countless probably and the person making them was probably....well.... Lan glanced to the side, wondering about it. He had only come to the city less then a year ago, and already he was being swept up in something he didnt even begin to understand. And ontop of that, he was taking care of a kid when he never though he would even live to see ne in his household."Whoever has made these is probably still making them, and if there are more like Sable and Krinn already out there, or bottles that will turn into others like them then I'm sure there is a purpose behind it..." He paused. "Now the only question is what is the purpose?"
Krinn caught up with Sable and turned a corner, his eyes lighting up in wonder as he saw the markets other side. There were bars over head, so that shattered light and shadows reflected through onto the market. There was the sound of running water far off, and birds chirped from their cages at the stands and freely above as Krinn glanced around. He paused, listening for the light sound of water. "Wow, this is amazing..." He muttered, looking through the shaded place with its plants and ivy and birds. There were golden and silver trinkets all around, and he looked back at Sable with curiousity gleaming in his eyes. There was a small stream engraved in the cobblestone pathway and it would inbetween stalls and made its way out of sight soon enough. Pondering over what to do next, Krinn looked happily at Sable. "Why dont we follow the water and see if we can find where it originated from?" He asked, wondering where it could possibly take them if they were willing to follow.

... brief intro to mr. happy ...
Sighing to himself, Marijus continued on his way. He didn't expect the other to give chase, after all they were merely strangers in passing. There definately was an air about the other which warranted possible analysis; that would have to wait for a later time.
With his mind set he would take a detour through the artisans alley and see what he could find. There had been talk of a few merchants that had come in from up North. Maybe they knew something about those mushrooms and incidentally his bottle. With long strides he made it passed the throngs of people with little trouble being able to see over most of them. A sign rested on a light pole that directed traffic toward various venues one of them pointing to the artisans alley where he wanted to go. Hurrying down that way, he found an assortment of tents raised with merchants and their booths situated comfortably underneath.
Taking idle steps he looked left and right, trying to decipher which merchant would provide the information he required. Most of them looked humble in their dealings, some dealing in weapons, others in tailoring and a few more in pottery detail. Nothing sparked his interest until he came across a both with a young girl and her mother. He first nodded to the mother acknowledging her before stopping just short of the girl, towering above her. "Wow mister, you're big!" She chimmed as she lifted herself on tip-toe.
Marijus chuckled and knelt before her to pat her head. "Aye dat's what happens when yae grow up. Yae'll be big too but much prettier." The girl's mother chuckled as she skuttled about in the background. Marijus smiled but returned his attention to the girl. "Now then, who might this charmin' fella be?" He asked pointing to the oddly colored toy in her hand.
"Oooh... this is my friend. I call him Mr. Happy." She held up the stuffed tiger doll for the doctor to get a better look. "He says hi!" she chimmed.
Marijus chuckled shaking the toy's arm. "Nice to meet'cha Mr. Happy, nae be Dr. Marijus Virile." He introduced himself, the first time in many years using his title.
The little girl beamed and turned to her mother. "Mommy. He's a doctor!" The girl squealed. Marijus could only arch a brow at her excitement.
"Her father was a doctor too. He passed some time ago... an illness." The mother spoke fondly as Marijus could only nod.
"Aye well then nae must be going now." Marijus was just about to stand and make his leave when he noticed the girl start to frown. He chuckled and turned back to her nudging her cheek with the back of his knuckle. "Lil girls shouldn't frown like dat. It gives dem wrinkles when dey get older. And wrinkly women are not very attractive..." This got a side long glance from the mother but Marijus continued. "Of course yae'll always be a pretty girl, aye?"
The girl nodded perking up as she smiled. "I'll be really pretty then I'll come find you and we can get married!" Over enthusiastic little sprite too. Marijus chuckled standing to his feet before giving her a pat on the head. "We shall see but yae'll need to fill out before dat happens..." He didn't bother looking back for he'd only find a confused little face looking back at him and a mother with the right to pummel the leecherous doctor. It was time he got back on track anyway. "My name is Cybil!" He heard the tiny voice only offering a wave of his hand before melting into the crowd.

Silver's been walking, pretty much aimlessly, in search of the voice that he had heard earlier, and only seemed to step out of his daze when he almost came in collision with a girl.
Who then came in collision with a table.
...Ouch.
The white-haired man blinked a bit, but by the time he finally reacted, the girl had zoomed inside.
His mind now derailed again, he stepped inside the shop. He hadn't checked that one out...

Mia laughed, "To drive us nuts, probably." She answered. "I don't know if there are more, to be honest I think that if there are it will only be a bigger headache. But if we are supposed to meet up I guess we will." She finished up her tea, "But I suppose you are right, about the bottles I mean. They seem to be different, and the substances seem to determine the child. But these children can't be normal... I mean Sable can shrink to the size of a butterfly." She sighed, yeah it sounded weird, "Maybe, you know the rumors of creatures from the black forest coming out more and more frequently...maybe that is why they are here, as a kind of balancing force?"
However that "Balancing force" was currently admiring a trinket near the stream. She was wondering what Mia would say if she put it in her pocket. It didn't seem like a bad idea to her. After all it was simply lying there on the ground, basically abandoned. She liked it, so why not take it. Then she heard Krinn say something about following the water, she looked up and smiled. "That sounds fun!" She smiled, unconsciously pocketing the trinket before starting up the river. The greenery was so pretty that she felt like walking this time.

"Welcome!" Toni called as the bell above the door chimed, letting her know someone had entered. She worked at a mom and pop type of coffee shop. Small enough to make any customer who came regularly feel right at home.
She noticed the new customer had a strange look to him, it wasn't everyday you saw someone with his coloring, but she shrugged it off pretty quickly. With Aimes being a port, you were bound to see all sorts of different people come and go.
"Can I help you?" She asked him.

Marijus had tried every shop he could thing to get answers, to no avail. Frustrated, he left the artisan's alley heading down a few cobble stone roads before making a detour into Drunken Alley, more named from the many bars and adult themed establishments in this area. A stream was present along with shade, ivy and birds flitting about.
He walked idly along the road deciding he would rejuvenate with a much needed drink. Reaching in his pocket he realized his flask was empty and would need refilling. No matter, just step into one of the bars and he would be saved. Only which bar? Continuing his brisk walk he walked past two children who looked to be playing in the stream, one collecting trinkets the other seemingly excited over everything he saw. He bypassed them heading to one of the taverns he was familiar with, after all he lived there. It wasn't much but at least he could recharge. Besides the bottle was getting heavy in his pouch. Pulling it out he looked it over a few times, the sun catching the glass just enough to cast an odd shadow upon his face. When would he get the answers he was looking for?

Millie stretched her arms to the sky. She was balancing on an extended brach or an old tree. A warm morning breeze swayed her dress as she framed the sun within her hands. Several petals danced along with the breeze, swirling in a circular pattern around the girl. She squinted just a bit as the brilliant ball of light reflected off her clear emerald eyes-and there she saw the whole forest coming to life as it was getting covered by soft warm rays.
'it's beautiful here,' Millie thought. Ever since she could remember, she had always lived inside this marvelous forest. She had been discovered, wounded, by none other than Tori, her present guardian. 'Thinking of Tori... where did she go?'
The girl hopped off the tree branch in a soft thud. Brushing the dirt off her dress with two hands, she started to look around until she heard a shuffling sound in the bush on her left. Millie gulped. This was just like that time, the time when Tori found her wounded in the depths of the forest. She slowly started to back away, but something popped out of the bush before she could react. It was Tori.
"AHAHAHA I have found it!" Tori shouted as she jumped out of the bush, "The mushroom! And, not just a normal mushroom!! It's a truffle!!!" Then, she paused her triumphan laugh after noticing the fear in Millie's expression. "Oh...Did i scare you Millie?" Tori asked with hesitation. She did have to be careful- Millie was afraid of sudden sounds. The forest wasn't a real good place for her to stay in, but due to her researches, she often had to venture into the forest to fine different ingidients. "You know what, Millie?" She replied after measuring the outcomes in her head, "We'll go shopping in the town today! How about it? Then, I'll treat you to some...LUNCH!"
Millie's face brightened. Being in a big town made her feel...comfortable- nothing will just pop out of no where in the crowded streets of the town. "Sure thing, Tori," she said with a big smile on her face, "I would love to~Thank you ...."
After packing up their gears, they set off in the general direction towards town. "You know Millie, if you follow the stream, you'll be able to reach the town in no time! That's what I found out when I first came here," Tori said with a confident voice, "If we come near a little pond on our way, we'll have a little rest there."
