The smirk stay firmly in place upon Tenma's features. "The last time I let my guard down," she said quietly, almost in a musing fashion, "Was the last time I saw my brother." her voice was cold and serious. This wasn't something to joke about. True, it might of seemed stubborn, or paranoid, but there were always eyes on her.

Vakha looked at Tenma for a moment, then turned away again. "I see," was all she said. By this time they had reached the inn and Vakha led the way up to the room.
When they got to it, she opened the door and motioned Tenma to follow. "Please, come in and make yourself at home. We are just waiting for my assistant, Huan, and a young girl named Lillith to arrive. In the mean time, would you care for a drink? A bite to eat, perhaps?"

Lillth followed Huan to the hotel and reached the room they were in. She knocked the door and entered the room, seeing Vakha and Tenma there. " Hi, I'm Lillth and you are Vakha, right?" she looked at Vakha.

Tenma had pivoted in the direction of the newcomers. She briefly looked them over, noting that neither was a threat. "It looks like we can begin, if I am not mistaken." she said, her voice staying low.

Huan trotted to Vakha's side as soon as she entered the room. "I found her, M'Lady. I told you I'd bring her back for you." Huan's tail swished excitedly behind her.
Vaka smiled at Huan and rubbed her back. "Yes, you did, Huan. Very well done, Dear." Then she turned her smile on the new arrival. "Yes, I am. It's a pleasure to meet you, Lilith. This," she motioned to the other girl. "Is Tenma."
Walking over to one of the chairs, she motioned at the others around her. "Please, make yourselves at home. Before we start, Lilith, would you care for anything to eat or drink?"

Tenma's eyes narrowed slightly at the sight of the Inu, but it wasn't about to cause her any worry. As impatience grew inside of her she decided it was time for her to make a move. "So," she began, almost passively "What exactly are we here for?"

Huan noticed the look the 'filthy' neko was giving her. Nothing would have given her greater pleasure than to give her some trouble, but Huan knew that Vakha wouldn't approve of any fighting, so she let it go and settled herself close to Vakha.
Vakha noticed the moment of tension between Tenma and Huan, but both were controlling their instincts, so she let it go for now. "Well, Tenma, that's a bit of a tale. You know of the Kinta, of course. Well, I work under them, making sure that everything in the world stays in balance. Everything has been going well for hundreds of years.
Unfortunately, there is another wizard. A man by the name of Morheru. He is evil and cruel. His only interest is ruling the world. I tried to warn the others, but for some reason, they didn't listen to me. Now, they have been captured and the four Sacred Stones have been stolen. I can keep the world under control for now, but only for a short time.
You, my children (Vakha's ancient. Almost everyone is a child to her.), have been brought here because I need your help. As much as I may want to, I can't go after the Kinta myself. Morheru would be able to sense my presence before I got anywhere near any of them. I will do what I can to help guide you, but you three will be in charge of the main mission."
Huan's ears perked. "Excuse me, Mistress. Did you say three?"
Vakha looked gently at Huan. "Yes, Dear, I did. You will accompany Tenma and Lillith."
Huan startled and climbed closer to Vakha's side. "Bu... but ... I.. I.. I wanna stay with you. I promised I'd never leave your side." Her eyes glistened.
Vakha smoothed Huan's hair gently. "I know you did, Sweety. And you know I wouldn't ask you to do this if it wasn't important. I will need you with the girls, Huan, so that we can all stay in contact. This is a big responsibility that I'm trusting you with. Can you do it for me?"
Huan looked down at the ground for a moment, then up into Vakha's crystal eyes. It took a moment, but slowly, Huan smiled a bit and wagged her tail a bit. "Yes, Mistress. I will do what you ask of me."

"I hope this won't get worse." Lillth mumbled to herself. " So when are we setting off and when are we going?" she asked Vakha.

Huan gave Lillth a bit of a glare and snorted. 'Snot,' she thought to herself.
Vakha raised an eyebrow at Lillth, then gave Huan a slightly reprimanding glance. "Well, I suppose it all depends on who you want to find first. I would suggest that you start at one end of the country and work your way to the other.
Now, I have a general idea of where all four wizards are being held, but they will not be easy places to get to.
As for when, I suggest that you set out in the morning so that you will have all the daylight that you can get for travel. I've already rented a pair of rooms for the two of you for tonight."
