Murder, rape, robbery, treason, espionage, trafficking, assault, kidnapping, embezzlement, and burglary are felonies - not marijuana possession. That is ridiculous. In Washington (you still live there right?), less than 40g is considered a misdemeanor and is punishiable by a $250-500 fine or 1-90 days incarceration. http://norml.com/index.cfm?wtm_view=&Group_ID=4571So presumably it was the police who charged you with a felony? If so, I doubt the courts would agree and sentence you instead as having committed a misdemeanor. 1 gram and 40 are quite far apart.

=| Honestly... I don't see how a bowl can get you a felony. You can get more jailtime for posession than rape. But, I heard that if you have less that an ounce of weed, in one bag, NOT dime bag, you will slide with only a $65 cdn fine.

Here in Van, BC, if cops found you smoking a bowl, the most they'd do is take away your piece or give you a fine, if not just laugh at you and tell you to have a good night! s**t, son ... that sucks!!!!!!
