I'll be done with classes in mid-May, but I also have my last clinical to do over the summer, from June-August. once i'm done with that i'll be able to get my license and a job practicing OT. ^_^ i can't wait!

Clinical is fun and so, so valuable. I was with a fantastic doctor for my last placement, and she made sure I got to try everything I could. It was an exciting and memorable experience, and I'd do it again without hesitation. ]--- |-.-.- ...are all my sins remembered.

I tried to watch a hip replacement surgery on my last clinical, but the smell of it (they used a cauterizing blade) caused me to nearly pass out. Then I had a panic attack.

Passing out and getting panic attacks aren't good things when you have a high-stress job.

Nymph, in thy orisons... -.-.-| ---[ Also not great when you're in theatre. I watched cataract surgeries (which look so cool), brow lifts, blepharoplasties, the odd Botox, some pterygia...it was great fun. And that was just the surgical stuff. ]--- |-.-.- ...are all my sins remembered.

one of my friends is going to school to become a neurosurgeon (I think).
anyway, yeah... surgeries aren't for everyone. i'll stay out of the OR, thank you very much.

i'm doing my psych rotation this summer - 3 months working in an inpatient psych unit... should be fun!
