Plumgaze bowed his head, the purple eyes that earned his name prickling as his mother's purr rumbled through his entire body. For a moment he was pulled back into the warm darkness of the nursery, where all the confusion was gone and his family was happy again...

Yet, when reality intervened, it felt the same. Darkpaw's voice rang loudly over even his mentor's; he blinked, shuddered all over, and aimed a hesitant smile at his siblings and Clanmates.

"Thank you." he practically whispered. The sentiment was directed towards all of them, but the cat he truly sought wasn't there. He looked down at his paws, a tendril of sadness stealing into his otherwise complete joy.
