Y'know, the real hardcore otaku actually hate Naruto, odd as that is.

But anyway, Boogiepop, Descendants of Darkness, Ginga Densetsu Weed, and RahXephon are all EXCELLENT anime that don't have too many fans. Maybe I'll post links later.....

It's true! I know this guy... he's read/watched everything... litereally... he's constantly bugging translators for the next chapter or this, or episode of that, and he's started learning Japanese cause they take too long... he reads the Korean manwha as filler while he waits... he's pretty hardcore, and absolutely loathes Naruto. xD
I'm not a hardcore Otaku... I rather liked what I was able to get ahold of, but that's true of virtually every series I've seen thus far...
Oh! And I loved RahXephon!!! I read it!
And Agito, if you haven't seen it, it's great. The end's kinda sad though, but I've seen sadder endings... which brings me to my next anime.
Fafnir! It's basically about this neoTokyo island, that they can move at will, and it's constantly trying to stay off the radar of the NeoUN who want them to help in this war against an enemy of mankind, the Festum. They're basically these practically unstoppable creatures that can only be held off by the Fafners (giant mechs piloted by kids). Actually, all-in-all, the series reminds me a lot of Neon Genesis Evangelion... a lot a lot... but whatever, it was good anyway. A lot... damn...
If you can find it, you'll see what I mean... oh, but there's no Misako, just fyi.

@ Hickoryflower: I never saw this until you posted on it. You're really helpful! heart

YAYZ! <3

Here's the links to the first eps of the anime I posted.

I couldn't find any Boogiepop eps. D; I found Jap eps with French and Spanish subs, but no English. The anime is called Boogiepop Phantom if you want to search it though. I suggest you do. It's a really good anime. If you like mindf***s, you'll like BP.

I, at one point in time, came across RahXephon and watched I think only the first episode but I didn't get a very good feel from it so I stopped there. I haven't really heard much about it, but if you two say it's good then I'll make sure to see it. I think I remember coming across Fafnir at Metro Con and wanting to further investigate it but I had forgotten until now. Thanks! heart

I checked that Descendants of Darkness and creepy....
By the way I have a phobia of vampires. and needles. and people trying to touch my eyes.
Which is also why I have yet to see all of Hellsing...sorta. sweatdrop

Yeah... *plotting to exploit*

Yesh! RahXephon was a good series (but kinda short), and Fafner was good but kinda sad... won't go into why now... spoilers kinda...ish. xD

Oh, and Battle Royale was... interesting to say the least. Oh right, other thread. I speak there. xD
