Slumpo_Kahn Russ Kwehmoore I think it would be better to put a limit to levels. Having levels that exceed 99 usually result to ugly PvP matches. Maybe compensate for it through special weapons or armors. That way, it could encourage more trade which could be good for the site itself. I personally would like to play a game which involves more skill and teamwork rather than power gaming. 3nodding Which makes me wonder if they are going to make upgradable items (aka weapons) like they did with the fishing rods. Personally, I think they will have a limit for levels. If they didn't, I think a filter would be made so that people can fight others who are around the same level. I like the idea of upgradable items and the filter idea, if there weren't any limits for levels.

My question is when the system finally comes out, what will be our starting levels ? I mean, will we start out all the same, or will more active members be at higher levels than others ?

I dont really mind starting at level 1. xd

I mind because once the BS is up there will be a massave influx of new players who will kare nothing at all for the Gaia comunity, I think pre existing members should be givin stat boots or additional sumthings based on seniority.

and yes, there shoudl be a level cap. 99 think is enough.
but there should also be restrictions, like a higher-lvl player cant fight a low-lvl player unless the one he's fighting is 5 lvels lower or hgher, or something like that. sweatdrop

But that would be unfair. Everyone should start as equals. This way, everyone will be limited to having only what they deserve... if they are really good, gamewise or tradewise, then they'd have good items.

I actually think it would be better to do away with an level system and make it more based on stratagy. That way people actually have to think to win the battle instead of just clicking random options,no stratagy at all,and winning everytime. Also, when newer people see how high of levels everyone else is then they might get discouraged and not fight at all. It would just work better and be more fun in my opinion if there was more stratagy and less of the clicking options like it sounds like it will be.

Russ Kwehmoore Scott Wolfbane Well, before you decide you want levels... You have to consider a few things:
1. Just because theres a level 100 fighting a level 10, should it mean the level 10 cant RP as best as he can to give himself somewhat of a chance? Or 2. Can higher levels have better weapons compared to a lower level?
The list can go on and on. !. Most of the times, when gaming, you lose sight of RPing. a high level player losing to a sweet talk is dumb.... but then again, a level 100 fighting a level 10 is just plain dishonorable... the poor level 10 will be hitting 1's.
2.Most probably. For one, the higher level deserves a stronger weapon. But then again, if there IS a stronger low level weapon, a wise player would use it over the higher level one. Well maybe weapons can just be upgraded like fishing rods and tempered to get elemental powers like fire and ice...?

Of course, we're going to need boss monsters and partying. Boss monsters = MEGA exp, and partying... shouldn't lower the amount of EXP you get, cause that would discourage partying... although, you could get a bonus for going alone... >> but if you die, and you're alone, you have to start from, like, your last save or something.

(including you) You can name and equip party membs, the thing is, party members should only b able to get to lvl 70 and you can get up to lvl 99. You can have lvl 60 membs go against the big guy while you pick off all of the members, that way it would add a higher lvl of strategy. And it would b fun naming the charictars after your family and friends.
