Tethra let her chin droop, forcing a small smile to return to her features to make it seem like all was well in her little world. "Oh, nothing. I haven't seen her in awhile, is all. She likes going off on her own too but having no wings... Its like a bear and an eagle trying to find each other in the world. Of all the bears and all the eagles... and with completely different patterns of movement, thought, needs, desires..." She let her voice trail off, figuring her point had been made. She was sure someone back at Feral Clan knew where she could find Fianna but whether or not she would travel there to find out was the real issue.

She recalled Cristata's temperment somewhat, relating it to the fierce overprotection like Rayatia. Another banthi she missed so much. It would be so easy to just fly back there, back home.... no. That wasn't her home anymore. And the warden of her new home would be displeased if he found out about this meeting in the first place. The winged hyena stiffened and stretched her back as she seemed intent on making a movement. Possibly a subtle indicator that Tokala should also see to moving. "Maybe." She answered tentatively, leaving the response open to interpretation. "For now though, we should move on to wherever you are headed before the sun sets and we're two blind bats in the twilight." The word 'we' meant more than what she was letting on. She was taking a huge risk by helping her but her guilt would kill her from the inside-out if she turned her back and left a former clan-mate... family member... to the harshness of a foreign land.

Tal didn't know what to say about the first thing Tethra said. Besides her mother and now brother, no one in her direct family had wings, though they could be just as hard to find when they wanted to be. The maybe was encouraging, Tal saw it as a sign she would come back eventually. If not, maybe she would come back and try to find her again, a needle in a haystack, but she did it once.

When she moved, Tal remained still at first but finally pulled her tried bones up. Smiling at the mention of 'we', she said, "Alright, I hope we can find that formation. I'd hate to think I went through so much to walk away empty pawed." Well she intended to go back with nothing in her paws, but information in her mind, the key to hope, or so she deeply wished.

Tethra had no idea what her business was in the South or with whatever or whomever it was she was seeking out, preferring not to ask. She had a good hunch where this 'rock formation' was but a sinking feeling reminded her that it was much out of the way of Ahnleh territory. With a grimaced smile, the winged hyena nodded agreeingly. "I'd hate to have your mom on my behind for getting you lost in the southern plains for nothing." She tried to joke but deep down she really did hold a genuine fear of being actively hunted down some day.

Spreading her wings she hesitated, remembering that Tokala had none of the convenience of flight. It looks like she was in for a long walk...

"I have an idea where to go, anyways. I can lead you there until it comes in sight... but then I must go. Try to backtrack on the way home by remembering landmarks and if you get lost, come find these rocks." The female patted the sandstone they were resting upon with her paw. "I'll be here keeping watch just in case I see you again."
