Name: Kasia

Biography: Born from a family of Waterbenders, at the age of 15, Kasia has yet to gain her waterbending powers. Kasia often feels lonely whenever her parents take her other siblings to hone their waterbending skills, so she heads off to the icy area around the tribe and entertains herself by playing with the neighboring animals. One day, she stumbles upon an infant polar bear, being attacked by a much larger sea lion. Kasia tries to help the bear, and without even realizing it, she is able to bend a small amount of water. Remembering the moves that her parents have taught her brothers and sister, Kasia bends a little bit of water, enough to form a water whip to distract the sea lion. Kasia helps the little bear and runs away from the sea lion.
Once safe from harm, Kasia decides to keep the bear, naming it Frost. Kasia realizes that with her encounter with the sea lion, it gave her a rush like no other. She wanted to travel the world with Frost to improve her skills and meet new people. Kasia's family reluctantly let her go, but not before giving her treasured items to help her. Her mother gave her a new set of clothing, clothes that were passed down from generation to generation for traveling girls. These clothes fit Kasia good and well. Her older sister gave Kasia her most precious possession, her silver arm bangles. Kasia gave her sister a big hug, knowing that she'll miss her bangles. Her twin brothers gave her a pair of new sturdy boots to help her in her travels and her father gave her a new shoulder bag, filled with necessities. Kasia thanked her parents as she set off in a boat, warm with smiles, with Frost on her head (his favorite place to be) and a last glance and farewell to her home.
