"Hmm..." Izaak responded. He thought. "Here. THE JIGS UP, RIDLEY" He shouted, holding the sharp implement to Ridley's throat. He lowered it. "Just joking." He turned right back around again in the same process, screaming again, "BUT I HATE RIDDLES!!!!!" He lowered again, joking. The drugs were still very apparently in effect. "Not the HEC HQ...Not the Faction HQ, because they're both made by the same person. not this one, I mean, the dead one. the one where no one goes..." he paused. "THAT'S IT!!! NOBODY WOULD BE IN THAT MESS!!!" He shouted again, and once more, there was a blade to Ridley's throat. "oops...my bad." He scolded himself. "BE GOOD, IZAAK! Behave! You're no animal!" He mounted Ridley.

Riudley flew out of the cave, hoping the fresh air would help Izaak. He turned towards the FHQ, hoping that the half-stoned metallurgist was right.

Walking casually behind the young woman Rasta could not help but wonder how he had happened out of the bar all the way to the outskirts of town so quickly and why he had decided to leave his workplace without inquiring on future employment just to follow this girl. He still did not even know her name.

“You know your way around out here I hope?” He asked, “I’m lost outside of the city. That’s where I’ve spent my entire life.” His head drooped slightly at the realization of how pathetic what he just said was. How could he consider himself to be more cultured when all of his experience was out of the pages of old textbooks?

Tracey nodded. "Yeah I walk around all over the place a lot of the time. Mainly at night." She laughed a bit. "If it were light out I'd probably be lost." She looked at him a bit curious. "Why don't you ever leave teh city?"

After thinking to himself for a second Rasta replied, “The city is all I’ve known I guess. Until recently, I had never entertained the thought that anything existed outside of the town. I was in the library and I found a book about old earth. I’ve been reading up on a lot of old world stuff now, but I’m so eager to learn more. I guess that with it comes the natural urge to learn more about the planet I live on as well.”

Jogging a second so that he matched her pace for pace he smiled at her. "So why you out here at night so much? Is this where you bring all of your boyfriends?"

She laughed. "If I had any, it would be a possibility." She looked up at the sky for a moment. "I don't know. I like how quiet and peaceful it is out here at night. There's hardly anyone around, I don't have to dodge cars or people, though there are less things to take pictures of at night." She smiled. "Funny you mention the library. I work there, though I don't remember seeing you there."

“Well, you sure must have seen me once or twice. I love going there.” After putting his finger to his chin in a thoughtful manner he quickly added. “Then again, I only started going to the library about a week ago. And I only go on my lunch breaks because I’m working a lot of the time. I guess you could just consider me another cog in the machine, if you look at things that way.”

He started walking again in a deep stride to catch up with her once more. The occasional houses they passed by grew fewer and farther between as the flora began to thicken and grow dense.

“But I don’t think I’m the same guy now that I was a week ago. I feel like I’ve broadened my horizons so much, even if I have a lot more to learn. And now I don’t just keep a journal, I actually write stories about… stuff. Except that now I have writer’s block.”

She nodded. "Maybe, I tend to get tunnel vision when I'm working, so I really only notice people that ask me where things are." She took notice of the growing vegitatian and turned to walk backwards, looking at the street they had just walked down. Bringing her camera up she snapped a picture.

"What sort of things do you write about?" she asked.

Keeping pace next to her Rasta managed a quick glance over his shoulder at the scene she was snapping a shot of. It was nothing spectacular, but then again through the lens of a camera a lot of stuff could change. All the pictures he had seen in the books were of bright interesting subjects, so this dusk urban scene seemed rather ordinary and plain to him.

“I write what I think the old world was like, back on earth. Or I do now. Before the books I kept a journal of my life. More of a log really, since I cared very little about details or small talk.” After another glance over his shoulder he decided to ask where exactly they were heading, or even if she knew. Opening his mouth to talk, he was interrupted by the deep croak of what sounded like a bullfrog.

“It sounds like there is a pond or creek near here.” He said, his eyes scanning the darkening woods ahead. The sun was all but down by now, the remaining light casting faint auras around the outlines of the shadowy trees. The slight breeze and clear sky made the whole thing feel almost unnatural.

“Maybe we should go back?” He said, his voice quavering with indecision.

Tracey smiled. "I'm not really sure where we're going, or where we are. I usually just walk till I get tired then head back the way I came." She nodded at his suggestion to head back and started to switch directions. "Are you from Earth then?" she asked.

“Earth?” He laughed. The only people he knew from earth were very old now. He had been born on Weyard, just like most of it’s human and UH population. “No, I was born here. I’m only nineteen, though I guess a life of being a cheap laborer can age you faster than normal.”

Glancing behind him down the road, he stopped and thought for a moment. “What if we tried to find that pond? I bet you could get some nice photos of fireflies or the moons reflection. The moon is not out yet, but at the rate it’s getting darker it should be out within the hour.”

Tracey stopped and turned, thinking a moment then nodding. "Sounds good." She smiled. "Maybe I should bring you with me on photo shoots more often."

The man in the hakama and open, sleeveless robe traveled soft and silent. As always, he was very lifeless it seemed. Kontengai was good at sneaking up on people because he'd be so quiet, he allowed himself to listen, to see, and all other senses. He had a bit of a sixth sense. He could sense types of energy, the most common one is what he nicknamed 'Spiritual Energy,' or just Spirit Energy. He had no trouble finding Raeal, a woman who he did not know face or name of, now could she find him as easily? See his almost fully bandaged chest, arms, hands and feet? She'd have to if she wanted his name, but at the same time, he'd have to reveal himself to learn hers. He played the waiting game.
