"US, Ridley! You and me. You're coming, too rite? Unless you can fly me out of here and still be here and I don't know about it..." He was kindof tempered that sombody had hurt Tori, wether physically or emotionally, and he was short on temper. "Sorry...Let's just go...I'll be back, Tor--errrrr....Victoria." He clamped his jaws tight, not wanting to even say her name. He whispered I love you to her, but not meant for her to hear.

Her ears perked.
"I know, Izaak. That's why deciding between you and Cat is so hard." she said with a pained smile. "Now go."
Ridley picked up Izaak and flapped away.

Izaak returned to deliver the news. He had made it, seeing that Victoria was in no better shape, still. "She's on her way...we've got time to talk one on one now...I want to apologize for the way I've been acting. It was stupid of me to accuse you of anything, yet alone in the matter of love. If you accept it, I'm sorry."

"Izaak..." Victoria sighed heavily, leaning back against the stone wall. "I can;'t decide between the two of you. I know I screwed up getting involved with her... but... she looked like she needed someone, and like I said, I've sorta wanted her since we met. But I saw how she and Justyn clicked, and I held back... that.... that repressed emotion got transferred to others." Victoria brished back her now-long hair and looked at the sky. "I just... I just want to know... no matter what, you'll respect my desicion, correct?"

"Right...so...You never felt anything for any man...Well, I'm sure that might mean something to Justyn, but...I was trying for us. I thought I had swayed you a bit. Anyway...thought you should know...Justyn's awake..." He had been surprised himself when the time came for him to find out, he imagined Tori's shock.

Tori smiled. "He's my best colleague. I'll always, always, care for him. As for you Izaak..." she looked at ground, incredibly ashamed. It seemed as if darkness surrounded her. "Essentially, I all but lied to you. I strung you along because of my cowardice about Cat. But... A relationship based on pity always ends badly. I dont' want to hurt you Izaak... but... i don;t want to hurt Cat either..." her body shook lightly, the indecision getting to her and her emotions bubbling over. Her eyes watered and tears slid down her cheeks.
"I don't want to hurt anyone, Izaak."

Izaak walked in close. "Victoria...blimey, you're a girl, I don't think Cat's a lesbian...that would just be too weird..." He gave a harsh glance. "You're a very pretty girl...You've always had that feminineness to you. You could guess maybe that's where my feelings emerged from...I'm sure Justyn's got something to fix you right up, maybe, maybe not...but...I don't know what I'll think of you when that happens...It's likely you'll...change...be different when you come out of this...and maybe...maybe I just won't love you anymore...maybe I just won't care." He sighed, and looked her in the eyes. "I think...we're through."

It looked like a heavy weight fell from Tori's shoulders, but she hugged Izaak anyway. "Can we still be friends?" she asked softly. "Will you help at the Roost? I needyou there, Izaak." Tori looked down. "And... Izaak, while my body has changed, my heart has not. You told me that love doesn't know of sex, and, well... ifCat doesn't like me, then I'll either find someone, or... live like I used to. Before all this started. I'm not so emotionally fragile."
