Soon, the small stream was in sight. Karma walked to the nearest bank and put his head down for a drink before stopping to explain anything. The water was very refreshing after his exertions in attempt at flight. When he had finished drinking he kept his head down for a moment, peering into the water to see if he could find anything.
"If you walk up very quietly you'll be able to see crayfish," he said upon spotting their forms among the rocks.

Taja looks around at the stream, then watches Karma walk to the bank, after hearing him talk about spotting some crayfish she moves as slowly as she can beside him " okie." she saids quitely as she moves, coming beside him she peers out into the steam looking where he is " I see them."

Karma wasn't certain what else he could say about the crayfish. He didn't know very much about them other than that they liked to live among the rocks. He couldn't see any other fish either. He wouldn't mind standing there looking at the water but his companion might have other plans.
"We can probably see more in the lake," he offered upon seeing nothing else.

Taja looks at the water and the crayfish somemore she smiles again at Karma " we could wait a little bit longer and see, if any other fish show up, then still head for the lake." she turns her head back to the water to see two big shadows moving turns them " big fish."

Karma followed her gaze and saw that there were indeed two shadows moving towards them. It wasn't unheard of to see such large fish in a relatively shallow stream like this but it was unusual. "Maybe it's breeding season," he mused while they approached.
"That's the only reason I could think of for them to be in a stream like this. Shallow waters are a dangerous place to be."

Taja smiles and looks back to the shadows " they are intresting." the fish swim closer to them, Taja blinks and watches their movment
" how many babies do they have, when they have them?"

"I don't know," said Karma truthfully. He was growing quieter throughout their conversation. He had never been truly adept at keeping another soquili's interest and wasn't certain what exactly Taja was looking to hear. He wasn't exactly a fish expert and didn't know if she realized that.

taja smiles at him " maybe we could ask your mother to find out it is okie if you don't know, it doesn't matter, I'm sorry for all my questions, foregive me." she watches the fish somemore then leans down to sniff the water

"We could ask her." Karma had been looking back down close to the water but pulled his head back up when his bangs brushed the surface. He didn't feel like being wet right now.
"She'd probably know better than I would."

" okie, I'm ready to leave when you are, I'm glade that I will get to meet your mother." Taja smiles at him watching him closely to see what he would do next
