Eulalia Danae
Lux chuckled, although his left hand moved around slightly agitated. "My mother was pure blooded hell spawn."

Soon after he said it, the Erebus released a massive amount of black spider-like bots into space. The hords of the creatures jetted towards the ships, drills ready to puncture through hulls, and destroy the guns on the outside of the ships.
On the bridge, Eric's gunner, a bandy-legged alien by the name of Brick pounded his moniter and screamed.
"They dropped a shitton of little s**t-eaters!" <******** the little things and ******** them! Magellan, Scan the Erebus. Brick, shoot the ********. Alot."

The bots began scraping towards the ship's guns, their drills whirring as they attempted to dismantle what they could. Another batch of bots started focusing their drills on the hull of the ship.

The Star's Light unleashed another salvo of missiles, aimed at the bridge section, the engines, and the visible comm arrays of the Erebus.

A few of the bots, floating like small clouds in space, attacked the missiles, detonating them before most of them reached the ship. A couple made it past, and managed to damage the Erebus engines.

The Erebus in return began firing their own missiles on the Star's Light, the starblade having disappeared, they focused their attack on the new ship alone.

Eric monitored the ship's status as they fought.
"Magellan, you said the big ship was just outside a system, right?"
((I say this because I remember reading something about a small planet near the Gilgamesh. If I'm wrong, I can fix it.))
The Star's Light fired another salvo of missiles, this time, much, much more than the initial batch. Each missle was small, high-yield.

((you remember correctly, but it's not a populated system or at least it's not believed to be.))

The Erebus was taking damage to its hull, but was still holding it's own. The center of the ship began to charge before a large red blast was sent at the Star's light, followed by a series of bots which were designed to detonate after latching onto sensitive areas of the ship.

Magellan confirmed it, and the Star's Light was gone, blazing towards the planet before the blazing death from the Erebus connected with the hull of the Star's Light.
"Do we have to worry about killing anyone if I open her up?"

A new communications channel opened with the Erebus, one from a man in a spacesuit. "LUX! What the HELL are you doing here? This wasn't your mission! And quit shooting at the damn ship! I'm out here!"

((@Xeen, Who's talking, and to whom?))

Lux answered Forde's call. "Pendari blew the mission, Forde, it's mine now. And you know how I finish my missions. It might be better for you to stay outside in space, rather than trying to get back into any of those ships. I intend to leave no survivors."

Forde swore again. "The stone is still on the damn ship!" He yelled as he went to the prison section. "Someone in the prison section knows about it." He said as he reached the airlock. "Keep blasting away if you want, but that thing is mine." The sound of an airlock opening ended the conversation as the channel was closed.

The Star's Light blazed towards the planet, the Spider-Bots chewing holes all over it's hull. Thirty seconds of harrowing flight later, the Star's Light dipped through it's upper atmosphere, the heat of entry burning the Spider-bots from the Star's Light's now glowing hull. After Eric was certain all of the little hellions were gone, he punched the throttle, and blazed back towards the Erebus, firing more missiles.

Lux's eyes darkened as the ship rocked again, they were taking far more damage than was good for them. "Dreken, retreat for now. They won't be going anywhere." Before the Erebus warped to safer space, they sent out another nasty big death-blast, only this time not at the Star's Light, but at the Gilgamesh.

Hopefully unbeknownst to Lux, the Starblade had been waiting, cloaked, just beyond the fringes of the battle. It picked up the Erebus' signal, and Skarloey gave silent chase. Hopefully it wouldn't turn into a galaxy-spanning game of cat and mouse, but Skarloey was prepared for all eventualities.

Eric considered giving chase to the Erebus, but the death-blast from the other ship made him reconsider, and made haste to the wounded Giglamesh.

The Erebus had retreated to a base floating a good distance away from the Gilgamesh. It was obviously a recent setup, but it still provided resources and backup. The Erebus would be nothing more than scrap metal for the time being, but that didn't mean Lux wasn't going to come back with a vengeance.
