Wolfwood looked taken aback, then beamed. "Well, ya gotta be heard by the masses! 's not as if there was a handy "lake" to stand on in a "boat" like the Texts claim there were." He joked, trying to picture a lake in the desert and failing.

If Vash wanted his attention, he had it now. He was about to protest, but saw his reasoning. After all, Wolfwood came here for that very isolation -- how else was he to get used to his new form without the natives standing around, staring at him? "You're nuts," he told him, watching him run... and...

"Whoa! Where'd ya learn to do that?!" Wolfwood side-stepped away from the bottle and craned his head back, staring at his friend. It didn't look like he waited for a specific time to jump off a cliff like last time he saw his friend fly... And it didn't look like he could jump onto his back and piggy-back for another ride, either. He flexed his wings and looked at them to his friend, calculating. Should he try?

"Oh ho ho, ya finally found a lady now?" He joked, letting out a startled grunt as Vash successfully bapped him. "Ohh, now it's personal!" He moved away from the bottle and flexed his wings, taking a moment to get familiar with them. It was... odd.

Wolfwood bowed his head and gave a short prayer before launching himself into a run. He jumped, spreading his wings and giving them a mighty down movement. He flicked his wings up and tried again, his eyes widening before the ground suddenly seemed much larger.

"Oh SH-!!" Wolfwood flailed about with his paws, succeeding in making contact with the ground before stumbling into some nearby bushes. Mutterings could be heard from the priest as he began to extract himself, emerging with several leaves in his hair. "Bah!"

Wolfwood pawed at the leaves remaining in his hair, tossing his head once he felt like he got rid of them all. There were still a few here and there, but he managed to draw himself up as Vash started happening. "What goes around," he began, pausing until Vash had contact with the ground to add cheerfully "comes around!"

The kitsu bounced to his paws and trotted over to the bottle, carefully grabbing ahold of it and walking back to Vash. "Herrre," he growled through the bottle, setting it down next to his friend. "Drink some up and it'll all go away. Let's give this another shot, shall we?"

In truth he was in lighter spirits. He knew he ought to feel ashamed, but seeing Vash fall too brightened his spirits. He turned towards Vash and carefully extended his wings as to not hit him. He examined his wings and gave them a few experimental flaps, looking at them thoughtfully. "This beats a motorcycle," he ventured, "There's no need to stop for gas and be stranded anywhere with these babies!"

Wolfwood beamed at Vash. "Aw, c'mon now tough guy, you aren't that fragile now are you?" He reached out to pat him awkwardly on the shoulder, turning again and taking a deep breath. "That's true, but it looks like you can't carry many earthly possessions with you either." There was a pause as he threw a glance at his cross, then turned his attention forward again. "Well! Time to go!" He crouched down, swishing his tails thoughtfully -- tails! What an odd extension of the body, yet so useful for fanning air around with his wings -- before he sprang into a run.

He ran until he was a couple crosses away (to measure by his Punisher) before leaping into the air, snapping his wings out and briskly flapping them down for lift and bringing them up again to repeat the action.

Was he doing it? Was it working? Wolfwood sneaked a glance from his tightly closed eyes, blinking in surprise. Hey! His feet -- paws, whatever the hell they were now -- weren't touching the ground! He continued to pump his wings, letting himself fly forward...

...and straight into another bush. Sputtering leaves and cursing the devil's name on them, Wolfwood stumbled out of it. "Hey, spike-head!" He called, "How do you turn and go up?"

Wolfwood tilted his head and considered. Those precious few moments before he crashed did bring an incredible feeling, and it was a bit like the sensation he had when on his motorcycle... But there was something more freshing about flying. Wolfwood put it down to not having to worry about running out of gas or running over people. All he has to do now, however, is attempt to not crash into anyone.

He observed Vash and flexed his own wings, ignoring the fuzzy, tickling feeling in one. He could still move it, and figured it'd be all right. "Aha... I see," he murmured, ignoring Vash's pacing to examine his wings. "If I think of my wings as handles for my bike," he began, "And to turn you gotta dip one wing, when it'd make sense to pull back to go up, kind of like popping a wheelie!"

Wolfwood chuckled and poked Vash when he passed in front of him playfully. "You just have a habit of doing things the flashy way," he chided, "You don't know what moderation is, do ya? Ah, well, I'll keep that in mind. Then again, there wasn't much reason to stop back home, considering it was a desert." He shrugged, stretching out his wings before quickly folding them tight as soon as Vash walked into them, leaping aside and spinning to face him. "Me?! You walked into them all by yourself!"

The dark kitsu nodded in response to Vash's question, drawing himself up. "Yeah, I might was well give it a shot. I mean, I've got'em, so why not learn how to use them, right? Besides," he grinned wickedly, "One day, I'll be the one flying circles around you. Now!" He turned, nodding towards the area. "If I ran and take off from here, chances are I'll do another dive into the bushes. So, if I face myself in the direction with the least foliage... Man, this is making me miss the desert. There's so many things that get in the way!"
