((Note: The Satrap is the emissary from the Realm that's in control of the city. So it's a 'him' rather than an 'it'.))
((And yeah, for this one, go ahead and roll... cause there could be a few in the crowd that might be able to make the defense... maybe...))

There's no noticeable change from the crowd, but no one seems to leave the area. But there's no way to be certain. Slowly and reservedly, people begin going about their business again.
One of your followers comes up to you and whispers. "Your forehead," he points discreetly. "It will give you away." He hushes his voice quickly as an important looking man walks toward you and greets you wordlessly. "Sir," he says with a slight bow. "If you have business here, I know the city, and can take you to see anyone you may need to."
During this, out of the corner of your eye, you can see the slave trader and his group of slaves heading off. He hasn't struck one of them yet, even though the woman is still acting as before. She gives you one last glance, her eyes almost pleading, and then the group is out of sight.

Alright, who do we talk to about gaining the freedom of those people? Take me to that person and we shall see what they have to say to me. One of you please follow that group secretly and if he strikes her or any of them again he will suffer my wrath once we are done here!

Two of your followers dutifully obey and attempt to follow the group.
The man looks at you, confused. "I'm not exactly sure what you mean," he stammered. "You seem to have quite a few slaves of your own." He gestures to the rest of the group.

*Looks at the mna confused...* These are not my slaves, they are my companions who I freed. They do not follow me because I make them. They follow because they want to!

Equally confused, the man stares back a moment. "Well," he said. "There are plenty of slave owners in the city, and just as many slave traders." He into a random direction, as though thinking hard about something. "I suppose I could show you to the Guild Representative," he offered after a moment. "But I doubt it would do much good."

It couldn't hurt, lead on good man. I shall talk to this guild leader.
*Follows the man to see the guild leader while keeping a look out for other abuse and his fellow former slave*

The man leads you through the city. It's not an elaborate city, but a working one. It is obvious that there is a very big difference in the quality of living for the different classes of people, and that the wealthy greatly outlive the poor.
((Roll Perception + Awareness... and so I can see if there'll be anything TO see, I'll make a roll too.))

You see nothing of interest on the way there, but when you arrive at the tea house--which is not really just a tea house, but also a bar and inn--the man directs you inside, instructs you to wait there and goes to speak with the innkeep.
Inside, you notice there are plenty of wealthy merchant types drinking various types and levels of alcohol and convening in various levels of secrecy, from completely overt to suspiciously clandestine.
You hear no whispers of anything specific, and nothing pertaining to slave trade whatsoever. Though there is a particularly drunk man talking about a shipment of white Jade headed for the Realm, for which he is expecting to broker the deal.

*whispers to his followers* We might need to keep that shipment of jade in mind for later if negotiations go sour for the freedom of the slaves.
*Goes over to the inn keep* What should expect from this man of the guild; and what is the likelihood that I can free some, if not all, of those slaves? And I heard that there is a shipment of white jade coming in soon. What is so special about white jade anyway? I thought the green stuff was the valuable kind. Is there something special about it that makes it different from the green kind?

The man blinks at you a little confused. "I don't know much 'bout stones," he stammered. "But why you want to free slaves?"

Because I was a slave and it is a horrible life that no one deserves! I want to free them so they can have a life of there own and so that no one grows fat off their slaves work! Do you have a problem with that?
*Duskborn grabs the man and pulls him close with that last statement*
*After setting the man down he walks over and sits next to the boasting man* I hear you are to be a very successful man here soon, can i ask how you came to be so lucky?
