Gaara heard Naruto's question and didn't say anything. He wasn't too big on these kinds of things and felt the same way as Kiba. He knew that it would be fun, but he knew that we probably couldn't get a date. So he shrugged and said, "I heard about it, but I don't think I will go." He then picked up his tray to quickly throw away his food to get rid of the akwardness. He knew most people felt they wouldn't have a date, but Gaara wasn't about to try and go looking for one. He wasn't even lucky enough to just run into one either. He just wished that things could be easy and you not have to worry about the dominants. He was always a bit shy around dominants in the first place.

Kiba listened to the red-head's reply and watched as he just got up to quickly throw away any and all uneaten food. He decided to get up himself and follow the other to the trash can. He nearly ran into the other being a bit too close and freaked out when the red-head turned around suddenly. "Uh, so what will you do since you aren't going to the dance?" Kiba hectically and quickly said to the other.

Gaara was shocked by the boy's question. He looked down and his racoon tail wrapped around his waist showing his shy manner. He thought for a second before saying, "Because I am not sure what I would do there by myself, and I am not much for dances. So I probably wouldn't be doing anything anyway." He then built the courage to look up at Kiba who asked him and asked, "Why did you want to know?" He was wondering why this guy as so interested but couldn't think of anything off of the top of his head.

"Uh, I-I was just wondering," Kiba quickly replied as he quickly threw what was on his tray away. He looked back at the other and noticed how shy he quickly got. Is he....shy? That's so....cute. He quickly slapped his forehead disreguarding that the other could see how idiotic he was making himself look. What am I thinking?......but it is. A blush of embarrassment filled his face as he looked at the other. "You don't have to tell me, if you don't wanna. You probably have other things planned." He looked away and slowly walked away letting out a sigh of defeat.

Gaara reached out for Kiba and tapped him on the shoulder he blushed and looked down, "Were you wanting to do something then?" He wasn't good at talking to others and he knew that this person had something planned. He wasn't sure what but he didn't like the sour look on his face either. He then looked him directly in the eyes curiously and looked on with curiosity as he waited for an answer.

Kiba stared back at the other noticing the curiousity he held waiting for a reply. What do I say? What do I say?? His face filled with complete embarrassment as he kept trying to think of what to say. He was stumbling through the words in his mind. "Um.....will......uh......" Just say it already! "Will you hang out with me!?!" he yelled completely catching himself off guard. His face turned bright red as he couldn't believe what came from his mouth. Did I just say that out loud......for everyone to hear?? He felt numerous eyes quickly glue on him.

Gaara blinked. He didn't like getting too much attention at once, and he tried to avoid other people's gazes. He blushed quickly and nodded. He then looked down at the floor feeling a bit embarrassed. He was wondering why the other was so brash, but shrugged it off thinking it was a funny quirk. He then quietly said, "That wuld be nice." He was still blushing a bit feeling under the pressure of the stares of others. He then looked around shyly hoping that no one was looking anymore.

Kiba face slowly filled up with a joyful smile. He was happy that the other responded kindly. He said it would be nice. He then looked down at the ground as his smile slowly disappeared. "Sorry....for all the attention." I can't believe I made a fool of myself in front of everybody including him. Wait a minute.....I don't even know his name! That means he doesn't know my name, right!?! I'm nothing but a complete stranger to him! How stupid am I? He looked back up at the other. I've only seen him around....and that's about it.....

Gaara replied, "Don't worry about it,...What is your name?" He knew if it truly bothered him he would hang around Naruto as much as he did. He felt a little stupid for not realizing he didn't know the guys name and he should probably know these thins before agreing to hang out with someone. It was very interesting however, that this was the first dominant demon to ever take any intrest as to even talk to Gaara except for in class from time to time, but Gaara kept it to a minimum. He didn't even understand why he was accting like this now, except for that sad look he saw on Kiba's face. He knew that look and wore it on many occasions. He has also seen his friend's wear that look. He just didn't want to be the one to cause someone else that look.

"Uh, my name.....my name is Kiba," he replied quickly feeling put on the spot by the other. At least I remembered my name. He let out a very faint laugh as he stared at the other. "So....uh....what's your name?" he asked a bit embarrassed. I should know his name. Think! Think! it must be in this brain of mine.....or not.....he's not in my class, and when I have seen him in the hall alone no one says his name......Think! Think!

Gaara replied, "My name is Gaara." He didn't know what else to say, but stood there incase Kiba had anymore questions. He cuoldn't quite put his finger on it, but something about Kiba seemed very familliar. He wasn't entirely sure what though. He went through most of the memories he had of school and knew he has seen him in the halls or classes, but he just left it out as Kiba being like Naruto because of his usually outwardly ways, and of course his overgwoing hyper nature. Kiba just seemed slightly less hyper than the blonde kitsune though.

"It's good to know your name now," Kiba smiled as he let out a little laugh. Should I know that name?? Hmmm.......oh..... A small blush formed on his face as he stared at the other. .....now I remember. How could I forget? Well.....he doesn't seem to remember. Maybe that's a good thing.....um..... "So...uh....let's hang out after school, okay? I'll introduce you to Akamaru."

Gaara looked at him and nodded. "That would be fine. Who is Akamaru though?" Gaara was curious as to why he would want to introduce him to another person. He didn't care mind you but he wasn't terribly big on people. However, for some reason he felt that he could trust this guy regardless of what he felt. For some reason it came to him as an internal animal instinct that he had always had. However, he figured it was just nothing to be worried about and felt relieved that no one was staring anymore.

"Akamaru is my bestest friend in the whole wide world," Kiba laughed. "I'm sure he'll be happy to meet you, and I know you'll just love him." He wanted to see his companion at the closing of each school day and bringing along someone new called for having just as much fun. He heard the sounding of the bell and let out a slight sigh. We have to go back to class now??

Gaara blinked and nodded. He wasn't quite sure how to respoond to Kiba, but figured that Akamaru couldn't bea student here at this school. When Gaara heard the bell he looked over at Kiba and said, "See you later." And he started to walk away. Today was very interesting to say the least, but he was sure there was more in store for him because of his friend Naruto seemed to be in a similar situation. He looked back at their usual table and wondered why Naruto invited the other person to sit. He will undoubetly her about this later.
