7-20-04 I traumatized my blossom today... honestly I didn't mean to! I mean, how was I to know that Dido could do that to him? She's such a soft voice, very relaxing to listen to when writing a paper. But she did. And it took a good couple of hours to get his bloom from being so tightly closed and for him to stop twitching. So in order to make it up to him I took him over to the Feien shop! Okay... maybe it was more for my benefit than his. I wanted to look around, meet some people, show off my beautiful spiky bloom. And I did! I met this very sweet feien named Neruo, who said he would be of help if I ever needed him. He was very polite. And I met this little green feien who seemed kind of tough, which was a nice change. He came from a leaf... which was a bloom. He didn't look too happy though, so I left him to talk to Neruo while I talked to LF. LF is Neruo's bondmate. She said she adopted him from someone else. I think that's a very cool thing to do, by the way. I might have to reconsider how I run Masquerade... But anyways I talked for a bit, showed off Silva, told where he got his name from, and Silva relaxed a little. I hope the Dido repercussions don't last for too long. I don't think I'd want a permanently traumatized feien. But it raises some interesting questions. What kind of being could happily listen to rock... but be traumatized by softer stuff? I guess I'll find out when he changes, ne? Oh! And I got him a tiburon! His name is Tibuzilla, I figure that Silva can use him as a horse or something once they both get big enough! I'll have to see if I can get a saddle made or something. *Goes back to plotting*

7-21-04 I know I don't have to write in this daily, and I'm sure that will change once Silva is a fairy, but right now I'm just so... curious! I want to figure out what he'll be like, what he likes to listen to, what he doesn't like... And as long as he's a bloom I can bug him all I want! *Pokes flower lightly, making it twitch* I put him in the window today, but it wasn't directly exposed to the light. I just thought that a little fresh air might be good for him. He moved a little, and wilted slightly when the sun turned enough to hit him full on. So I had to move him back into the room. I'm thinking about taking him outside tonight after the sun has gone down. Maybe he'll like the night air better. I started reading to him today, a few of my classic novels. He seemed to like the portrayal of Lucifer in Paradise Lost, but he might have been twitching in his sleep again. I can't really read flower body language unless it's something distinct, like his reaction to Dido. When I get out of class tomorrow I'm going to try researching his bloom again, try cactus flowers like LF suggested. Tonight I have my Rhetorics class again, so I hope he's all right being left alone. Again. I spent the morning in biology, after all. All this school is making me worry about him getting lonely. Maybe I should take him to class with me... Nah... Prof. Kovich would no doubt traumatize him worse than Dido did. I wonder if he'll remember all of this when he changes into a fairy... I doubt it, though. Not many people remember from before they were born... or even three. I think something happens when they hit three that allows them to notice that there's a past behind them.... if not, well, at least it makes for a good theory. Yeah, it's time to stop. I'm rambling, after all.

StoryIce threw her backpack on her bed, her brain numb from all the genetic information her science class had shoved into her head. She wasn't a scientist! She was an English Major! The only thing she would use the knowledge for was silly sci-fi stories about genetically altered creatures taking over the world. She looked around, sighing at the sight of scattered books, shoes, and dirty clothes on the floor. She probably should clean sometime this month... but she probably wouldn't. She walked around her large bed, dropping down and glancing over at the flower sitting in the corner. He was quiet... well, of course he was quiet. He didn't have a mouth after all. With a sigh she turned and looked at the door where the closet was supposed to be, the doorknob was rattling. She stood, heading for the door. With a few minutes she had the door unlocked, and was about to open it when it was shoved open for her. She groaned, looking at Boss with a raised eyebrow. "Something I can do for you?" "We're out of peanut butter, darlin! It's--" He blinked as she tried to shove him back through the door. "Then go to the Gal-X-E mart. I'm not a drive-through window!" Ice muttered, not budging him a bit. He smirked, about to comment when he caught sight of the flower sitting quietly on the bed. He ignored her, walking past to drop down on the bed and pick up the flower. "Since when have you been into flowers, darlin?" He asked, raising an eyebrow as the flower jerked slightly from his touch. "Put him down! You're bothering him!" Ice growled, reaching over the whitehaired surfer to try to take the flower. "Him? Since when have flowers had sexes?" "This one does. And he doesn't like you, so put him down!" She was completely ignored as he examined the boom more thoroughly, running his finger over the petals. The blossom closed up. Boss shrugged, putting the flower back where he had found it and turning to her. "So, darlin... you and the grease monkey haven't been around much lately... makes a guy worry, you know?" "What broke this time?" "Ober." "Ober broke?" "Yep." "How the heck do you break a six foot four halfling that can pick up a thousand pounds for entertainment?" "You know... I asked myself that exact same thing! Still haven't come up with an answer. And Ob ain't sayin a thing." He paused, discreetly poking the flower just for the hell of it. "Leave it alone, Boss." Ice muttered, not even looking to see what he was doing. "Well... how is he broken? What's he acting like?" "Well... he won't say a word, for one thing. And he's been sleeping a lot lately, and--" "Ober doesn't talk. And he's sleeping because he just played a breaker game. Now don't come back unless you have a better excuse." She dragged him to his feet, shoving him to the door, despite his protests. "But it gets lonely, darlin! I'm stuck in that big office, hell, the only people I talk to are Puck and Ober and that red-headed p***k, Case! And I SWEAR there's been somebody stalking me! And--" "OUT!" She shouted, shoving him through the door and slamming it closed in his face. With a sigh she leaned her forehead against the wood, then reached down and relocked the door. She would have to calm her bloom again, she thought, groaning. He really didn't like being in this helpless state. She turned, dropping down on the bed again and flipping on the stereo to something sufficiently hard. 7-22-04 I searched and I searched and I found a LOT of flowers. But none of them looked like Silva. I'm pretty close to giving up. It doesn't really matter what type of flower he is, right? All that matters is that he comes out healthy and happy. I just wish I could assure the "happy" part of that comment. Boss came over... Um... Boss is a... friend I guess you could say. A bit annoying, but good help in a pinch. When he caught sight of Silva he imediately had to touch him. Silva didn't like that. Not at all. I guess he's not big on being touched by strangers. I'll have to remember that in the future.

Io walked in the house, a pile of books in her hands. She had just spent the day at the library, looking into something that Ice would probably make fun of her for being interested in. She shrugged, dropping the books on the table and looking around. One of the books fell to the ground, revealing a page that said "Floral Arrangement: Made easy!" Io frowned, not seeing any free blooms around. She would have to go cut the blooms off of the flowers in the front yard. Of course, Ice wasn't very fond of her rosebush being pilfered... she had found that out the hard way. So-- She stopped, her eyes lighting up as she remembered something. Ice had a flower! Of course... it was only ONE flower, so there wouldn't be much arranging to arranging it, but heck, she should probably start small! She smiled, her eyes curving up behind her mask, and grabbed the book labeled "Exotic Blooms" before heading for Ice's room. She almost danced when she realized that Ice was gone, the flower lying innocently on the bed, no one to see if she messed up on her arrangements or not. She dropped down on the bed beside it, flipping open her book and looking up arrangements for spiky blooms. After a few minutes she frowned. She was going to need some ribbon, she thought, nodding and shoving herself to her feet. And lace! And maybe some bows! With that thought she went out of the room, a teenager on a mission. 7-23-04 When I came home today I was slightly shocked to see Silva dressed up like a bridal bouquet. I'm not sure how he got that way, but I have my suspicions. Strangely enough he didn't seem to mind it that much... He was only twitching a little, and not even fully closed... might have been who was doing it to him. I'm really going to have to have a talk with that girl...

Quote: I've been thinking... I'm not sure if I'm doing this right. This whole flower care thing is new to me. I'm not even sure if I'm reading the bloom right. This could be a massive case of personification on my half. Like I'm trying to put personality traits on something that doesn't have a personality... Now I'm starting to get paranoid. Maybe the blossom is completely unaware of the things that happen around him... maybe I should write Em... Oh, I hate bothering her... You know what? I'm just gonna stop playing with him. I've heard that a feien will be perfectly fine left alone through the bloom stage. Yes. No more experimenting. *nods*

The room was quieter than usual, the soft sound of The Door's playing in the background, the steady tapping of Ice's fingers on the keyboard as she wrote. The door had remained closed since the Boss encounter and Io was in her room reading a comic book. The bloom had been left alone for the last few days.
The blossom was silent, as usual, lying there on the corner of the bed and, in Ice's mind, looking content. This was the type of day worth waiting for. Ice frowned at the screen for a few minutes, then erased something and restarted. She had never realized how hard it would be to have a flower as the main character in a story. She would have to rethink the mystery novel approach... it's hard to solve a mystery when you're a plant, after all.
She sighed, leaning back and rubbing her temple. She had gotten used to waking up early, since her Mon-Thurs class started at eight, and it was hard to break the practice. Finally she stopped, saving the material and heading for Io's room. The girl needed to work on her story. If she wanted to be a good writer then she had to practice, right?
She left the blossom lying there, listening to the old rock music in peace.

((A moment to squeal, he's perfect! The hair came out so awesome! Better than the first hairdo that I wanted! And the wing pattern!! Omigawsh do I love him!! *Glomps Em*)) Ice was snoring... she always said she DIDN'T snore, but she was. The room was quiet, dark as night, the only light coming from the glow-in the dark stars on her headboard. They cast an eerie light on the scene. Too bad she couldn't see it. A strange dark red light seemed to fill the air clouding over the blossom sitting on her bed corner. It thickened, becoming almost solid before it disappeared, a small fairy crawling slowly out of the bloom. He stood, stretching and cracking his neck. The damn flower was cramped, to say the least. After a second he looked around, his eyes falling on the sleeping "Mountain" a scowl on his face as he realized that his bondmate... the one that was supposed to give a damn by rule... had SLEPT through his change! He walked over, putting his hands on his hips and glaring down at her. He thought about kicking her, but shrugged it off. He didn't need her to show him around, anyways. He smirked, looking around the room and slowly melting into the darkness without a thought. ***************************** *That morning* Ice woke up slowly, her green eyes cracking, then opening wide as they fell on the new husk of a bloom. She did the first thing that came to mind. She wailed. "I KILLED MY BLOOM!!" She didn't even notice the small fairy jerking from across the room as she flipped on the light. She was too busy prodding the flower husk with a finger. "Speak to me... c'mon babe, I didn't mean to--" "Turn that damn light OFF, woman! It's hurting my eyes!" The tenor voice made her slowly turn, dread changing into hope. Her eyes got wide and the look on her face made Silva oddly uncomfortable. "What? Never seen a feien before?" Ice gulped, the desire to touch so strong that she had to restrain herself from crossing the room and "Mini-glomping" him. "I-I-" "The lights? And then you can go back to stuttering." He crossed his arms over his chest, looking impatient. Finally she turned off the lights, but only AFTER his eyes had acclimatized. Stubborny he didn't say a word. 7-31-04 *Written under a flashlight* My feien showed up today! He's perfect! Okay... a little bossy... and he reminds me of someone... just can't think of who. I'm just so happy he's here! His wings have this pattern that makes them look so cool! And-and his hair and his-- Oh, I'll talk when I can think in full sentences. He's here!! Yay!!

"So..." Silva muttered, sitting on Ice's shoulder, his arms crossed over his chest. "What are we doing here again?"
"This is the Feien shop, Babe. Where I got you, I guess you could say. Kind of. Actually I think you were summoned by another fairy from a plant and--" She stopped, flushing slightly as she heard him snort.
"Wait... this... summoner. Who is he?" Silva asked, something in her statement actually catching his attention. He waited until she sat down on one of the chairs, then hopped down, standing on the armrail and looking around as he waited for his answer.
"Well... I would have thought it was Corvus, but I don't know if he was... or not." Ice said, frowning slightly. "I mean, his name is on the boards as the summoner, but--" She shrugged. "You could ask somebody."
Silva looked around. "Yeah? Who?"
"Do NOT get into trouble!" Yeande was padding along the countertop, a basket slung over her arm as she called to a white Feien that was winging his way towards the window.
"I won't!" Shalafi called back, waving slightly and langind on the window ledge. Youko said that it looked like rain today, and he was hoping he'd be able to listen to the storm.
Yeande, meanwhile, had gone back to old habits... now, not because she needed to, but because she wanted to. Flying towards the display cabinet, she moved her hand slightly adn the door slid open before she arrived at it, landing inside the display.
Silva looked over as he heard the voice, scowling slightly. There were two of them. One white, the other with black markings. But they were across the room. He would have to fly... He hated flying.
"So... what are you waiting for?" Ice asked, smirking slightly. "How tough would you look having your bondmate carry you over there?"
Silva cussed, jumping down from the couch and running across the room. He stared up at the window, catching sight of a string hanging down from the side. Within seconds he had climbed it, pulling himself up onto the counter and looking around.
His eyes caught on the white feien first, something about the way he moved making him raise an eyebrow as he headed over. "Hey... kid." He called, not caring that the other feien HAD to be older than he was. "What's the problem?"
Shalafi turned from where he was sitting in the window, his gaze flickering back and forth as he focused on the voice. "Problem? There's no problem. I was going to see if there's a storm coming like Youko told me there was." He offered a smile to whoever the voice belonged to. "My name's Shalafi, what's yours?"
Yeande was kneeling inside the display, glancing towards the window periodically to make sure Shalafi was alright. when she heard the other Feien call to him, she sufficed with keeping an ear on the boy instead. Another Feien wouldn't let him do something stupid like fall, so she wasn't as attentive.
Aria flew into the shop, followed by Ianios. They landed on the counter and Ianios spied Shalafi. "Hey!" he cried, waving. He had forgotten Shalafi was blind.
Aria saw the display door open and flew over, calling inside it. "Hello?"
"A storm comin, huh?" Silva muttered, his attention drawn from the hesitation in the other feien to the window. "Never seen a storm. What's it like?"
He could sense a weakness in the other feien, it made him scowl slightly even as he looked out the window with the other male. He didn't care about weakness in other feien. Not as long as he didn't get in his way.
He looked over as he heard the other feien call out, this time a green one that was waving. The place was getting crowded fast... He shrugged it off, waiting to see what would happen.
Ianios blinked, seeing the new feien. He flew over to greet him. "Hello! I'm Ianios and you are?" He stuck out his hand so the new one could shake it.
"Not as cheerful as you seem to be." Silva replied, almost reluctantly shaking the other feien's hand. He turned, looking at the wood beneath his feet and leaning over to snap off a small splinter. After inspecting it for a second he clamped it between his teeth with a slight smirk.
"We're looking for rain. You seen any?"
Nodding, Shalafi didn't look up as the other Feien came over. "Hi, Ianios! Yeah... I don't know what a storm looks like, but if Youko said one was coming, then it is. He can always tell with these things." As he was speaking, a low rumble of thunder sounded in the distance, and the feathered wings puffed up as he nearly vibrated in place. "SEE?! I told you!"
Ianios blinked, and looked out the window. "Clouding up, but no rain yet," he replied. This feien was an odd one, he noted. Ian ran his hand through his hair, spiking it a bit. He turned around and sat down, seeing Aria fly over.
"Hello!" she called, smiling at the new feien. "I don't think I've met you yet. Name's Aria," she said cheerfully.
Ianios smirked at Shalafi. "Careful there, so you don't fall off."
Snorting softly, Shalafi shook his head and grinned. "I won't fall off, I know better."
Ianios chuckled, looking at Shalafi. "Just looking out for you. You're so excited, don't want ya getting hurt. I know you know better." He was grinning, hoping he'd get his storm. Ianios knew the plants outside needed the rain.
Silva looked up, blinking at how tall the adult feien was... then blinking at the obvious physical differences. After a few seconds he nodded, smirking slightly. "Nice name. A..." He groped through all the crap Ice had shoved down his throat when he was a bloom. "A musical term?"
He almost laughed, enjoying his little name game for some reason.
"I like storms... I mean, rain is nice, but I can FEEL storms. The lightning sets my feathers on end, and the thunder makes it feel like an earthquake around me. Then you get the rain itself... either a soft patter or a downpour that makes you have to yell to be heard. It's wonderful!"
The blind Feien was sitting with his arms wrapped around his knees, rocking back and forth as he felt the cool breeze flow over him.
Aria was puzzled. "Huh?" A musical term?
Ianios smirked. "I enjoy storms too. Rynn as well." He looked back as thunder crashed. "Hmmmm..going to be a nice night..."
Silva blinked. "... Never mind." He muttered, pulling his stick out from between his teeth and staring at her for a second. "You're an adult, right? That means you've been around for a while. I need to know something."
He looked around, then over at Ice for a second for some strange reason. She was reading a comic book, not paying attention. "Do you know who summoned me?"
"It was probably Julius," Shalafi replied, still facing towards the storm. "Corvus just came back last night, so he couldn't have done it."
Aria nodded. "More than likely Corvus. He's the summoner!" she chirped happily. She grinned. She wasn't stupid, she knew.
Ianios smirked at Aria. "Ok, sis, calm down."
Aria stuck her tongue out at Ian. "Leave me alone, I'm happy!" Both feien looked to Shalafi. "Who?" Aria asked. She had never heard of that feien.
"Who's Julius?" Ianios asked, curious. He'd never met Corvus either, but he had been told he was summoned by Corvus as well. What if they had thought wrong?
"Huh..." Silva muttered, nodding at Aria and heading for the window. He dropped down, his legs dangling over the side as he stared into the storm. The adult had said the same thing as Ice did, but the kid had sounded more... knowing. What was his name again?
"Hey... um... Sha... wait... damn, can I call you Bleach? Bleach. You sound as if you know this Julius guy. What's he like?" He leaned back on his hands, looking over at the blind feien.
"My name is Shalafi, not Bleach." What the heck WAS bleach, anyway? "I don't know Julius personally, but I've heard Yeande and Corvus talk about him. Corvus was at our house last night... he and Yeande merged with Feien Gemstones and they changed SO much!"
As if hearing her name, Yeande peered out from the display, then went back to work.
"Julius is an Elder Feien... stronger than any other Feien known. Yeande's met him twice now, and Corvus is nervous about him. Yeande said he's the one that summoned my bloom... and all the other ones that showed up while Corvus and Em were gone." Shalafi told all of this with great relish, enjoying the fact that HE knew things most adults didn't know. He wasn't strong by a long shot... his mind was all he had as a weapon, and he was doing his best to be a sponge where knowledge was involved.
Ianios blinked. So Julius had summoned him...He looked to Shalafi. "So he summoned us...but why?"
"Gemstones?"
Ianios waved his hand to shush Aria. "Did you meet him? What was he like?"
"Alright, Shal..." Silva said absently, his mind already off the subject of names. Although he personally had thought Bleach very apropos... "Strongest feien ever, huh?" He muttered, almost to himself. There was a strange, satisfied grin on his face as he sat there for a second.
"Thanks, man. I owe you one." He stated, shoving himself to his feet. He hadn't spent the night on his best behavior for no reason, after all. "But you won't find me in this place too often. Too damn crowded. Nothing to hunt." He looked thoughtful, then shrugged. "I'll be at Ice's. It's in the book."
With that he walked away, heading for Ice without a second thought about all the people he had met. Two debts to be fulfilled, he thought with a scowl. And one of them to the strongest feien ever. He hated being indebted...
He stopped, staring up at Ice impatiently until she looked down. "Are you ready, your highness?" She teased.
"Shuddup and get me outta here. I found out what I wanted to know."
Ianios tilted his head at the word hunt. He'd have to get to know the unknown named feien better. He smirked, flying to the address book, looking up Ice's address. He wanted it. The feien wouldn't replace his Nero, but it's be nice to have another buddy to pal around with. He hoped this feien wouldn't mind.
Aria just shook her head.
"Later," he said, waving towards Silva's voice. "Maybe next time, you'll tell me your name."

8-1-04 I took Silva to the shop last night, and sat there as he talked to other feien. I was so proud of him! He had made some friends! But then when we were heading through the rift to get back home I asked him... "So... who are your friends?" "Friends?" He asked blankly, almost jerking as if he had been thinking about something else. "Who?" "The people that you were talking to! There were two that looked to be about your age." "Oh... them. One's good for information. He's blind, though. He might not last long. The other's too damn cheerful about being in the shop. I mean, hell, it might have its uses, but as far as I could tell they weren't worth sticking around for." I was shocked, actually. I had thought he would be ranting about how wonderful his new friends were and how they had made plans to... well... I don't suppose Silva "plays" much, but-- "There a reason you're still standing there? I want to go kill something." He grabbed onto my shirtfront and climbed down, jumping off my shorts and heading for the door to the backyard. "Bu-but--" I said, only to have him leave me there, stuttering. I was starting to get deja-vu...

Lousy female, dragging him to that place.... lousy bondmate. Who the hell asked for one? Not HIM! It was annoying was what it was. And he had thought she had figured it out. Obviously she was denser than he gave her credit for.
He was walking through the house, looking around with half-hearted curiosity. There wasn't anything better to do, after all. He had already checked the backyard for anything he could kill. It was still too light out for the fun stuff to come out. As well as for him. He stopped, blinking at the sight of strange metal objects on the floor. Bolts? And nuts? In a house?
He shrugged, not actually surprised. Ice had some strange hobbies, after all. He crouched down, looking closer. The head of the bolt was a good half inch across, the thing probably weighed a ton. He smirked, an idea hitting him. He would have his own dumbbells! Strength was an important thing, after all.
He dropped down beside the bolt and nut, putting the two together and studying the "thread" of the bolt. It would hurt to hold onto that for long periods of time... but if he wrapped something around it... After a few seconds he had the mini dumbbell put together and was scrounging up a piece of cloth from under one of the couches. When he had that fixed up he tugged, almost falling on his butt with the weight of it.
He gritted his teeth, spreading his feet and pulling with all his might. "Got it." He gritted out once he had it at waist height, feeling the insane urge to laugh. "Now... to get it into Ice's room."
He grunted and sweated, grateful that Ice wasn't around to see him, but he finally made it to her room. This'll be kiddie play, he swore to himself. Just as soon as I practice for a while.
He dropped the dumbbell, falling on his butt and staring at it for a while, smirking slightly.

The door creaked open, a black mask peeking through the crack before it opened the rest of the way. Io walked in, stretching and dropping down in front of the computer. She had been in this dimension for a good month now, she had found out something interesting about Ice's technology. With a little bit of know-how she could get on IM with her brother, Loki.
She was grinning inwardly as she started typing, her eyes curved in upside down U's as she tapped away. He had a lot of interesting things to say, not all of them nice, but most of them were funny. And she was homesick... She didn't even notice the small feien glaring at her from across the room.
"There a reason you're in my room?"
The voice made her jerk, blinking at the sight of the fairy holding a bolt and nut that looked almost as big as he was in one hand. I'm talking to my brother. She told him, wondering idly if he would understand, and not particularly caring. Besides, this isn't YOUR room. This is Ice's.
"I sleep in it, it's my room. That makes THAT my computer, darlin. And I don't remember saying you could use it." He smirked, spoiling for an argument, and since Ice had been at school all day, this girl would have to suffice. "Who are you, anyways?"
I'm Io. Ice's daughter. She replied coldly, reminded of someone else. Who are you?
"Silva." He replied, taking himself off guard. That was the first time he had willingly offered his name. After a few seconds he shrugged, not noticing the shocked look on Io's face.
Silva? You're-- She stopped, the sound of her laughter filling his head and making him decidedly irritable. No way! Wait until I TELL him! This is TOO rich!
"Tell WHO? And what's so damn funny? It's a perfectly decent name, unlike Io. Who the hell names their kid--" He glared at her, finally realizing that she was ignoring him, tapping furiously on the keyboard, still snickering in his head every once in a while. It was a decidedly unpleasant experience, being laughed at in one's own head.

"So everything is going fine..." Ice was saying, sitting on her bed, talking into that cellphone that she always kept with her. "Yeah, yeah. Look, Boss, I've got things I-- NO! Put Puck on, would you? No I don't want to finish that conversation... you are such a pervert--" She stopped, finally noticing what Silva was doing in the little corner he had claimed for his work-out area. "Never mind. Look, I gotta do something. Yeah. Whatever. GoodBYE Boss."
She hung the phone up, then headed across the room, watching silently as Silva did his curls. "There's more than one way to use freeweights, babe."
He jerked, almost dropping the dumbbell on his foot. "What he hell do you care?" He muttered, going back to his workout.
"If you really want to get a full workout you should focus on more than just the biceps. Here, try bending at the elbow and pulling straight back. That should work on the tri's and the shoulders." She touched the arm with a finger, gently helping him pull backwards. "Feel that?"
He grunted, nodding slightly as he repeated the motion a few times. Then he switched arms. "How do you know about this?"
"I went through a lifting phase. Still do it once in a while. Did all sorts of studying on how muscles work and what the best way to build them would be. Now straighten your arm and bring it over your head. Good. Now bend at the elbow so the dumbbell is behind your head."
It was killing him. He had JUST gotten to the point he could lift the damn thing, putting it over his head felt like it would make him fall over, his arm dead from the strain. But he wouldn't let Ice know how much it hurt. No chance in hell.
"We'll stop there." She said after he had did the excercise with both arms.
"What? You mean there's more?"
"A couple. But you're done for the day." She grinned, sitting back. "I'm kind of shocked, actually. You're doing great!"
"I'll tell you when I'm done." He growled, glaring at her, even though his entire body was starting to protest.
"Not today you won't." She told him, taking the bolt away from him despite his evil glare. "Right now you're going to drink some water and work on your stamina." She paused, a strange smile on her face. "Ober would love this. He's really into physical training."
He glared at her, chewing on the splinter that he always kept with him. "Who's Ober?"
"Don't worry about it. Io said you and she had a talk. Seemed quite amused."
"Shuddup woman. I've got stamina to work on." He stopped, raising an eyebrow. "And I work on that... how?"
She stood, dropping down on the bed and flipping on the television. "Run around the room until my show is done. I'm sure by then you'll be thanking me for stopping with the weights."
He looked around, seeing the piles of books and manga and clothing and shoes that scattered the floor like miniature mountains. His right eye twitched, but he did it anyways. Boredom can do that to a guy.

((This is a compilation from the Backyard RP in the guild. Silva meets Sunil. Formatted by Kamtrouble. Thanks!)) In Which Sunil Poisons Someone Else (** Moved From Guild **) Silva The sun was setting, the trees from the back of the yard casting a dark shadow over the small hill that was his hunting ground. Ice was sitting on the porch, her feet propped on another chair, a book in her hand. Io had taken over the computer in Ice's room again. Thankfully. Silva still got pissed when he saw her. It didn't help that she kept laughing whenever she caught sight of him. He muttered something under his breath, forcing the memory of Ice's "daughter" to the back of his mind and concentrating on the expanse of grass in front of him. It was barely taller than he was, but it was enough. It had to be. Damn suburban neighborhoods. He held a small silver braclet like a chain in his hands. It wasn't the best weapon, but it would do for now. With a smirk he started heading into the grass, trying to keep to the shadows. He would catch something interesting this time, he told himself. Maybe one of those glowing bugs. It would be harder when he didn't fly, but heck, Silva liked it when things were difficult. He crept through the grass, fingering his chain with a little smirk. You could do all sorts of things with a chain, after all, he thought, wrapping one end around his fist, then flicking it out to decapitate a nearby piece of grass. "Silva? Are you done yet?" The voice made him jerk, scowling at where Ice had called from. "It's getting dark." He rolled his eyes, ignoring her and heading towards the far end of the yard, near the fence where all the mushrooms and other things grew. There'd be more chances to find SOMETHING there, as far away from her big mouth as possible. Sunil Sunil peered down at the yard from her perch on the fence. She couldn't really see all that well in the fading light, but she was pretty sure she saw motion. She looked around with her magic and was disgusted to find it was a feien. An unknown one at that. She had been hoping for a small defenseless animal - she was in the mood to beat the living daylights out of something. After stretching, Sunil leaped off the fence and divebombed the unknwon feien, aiming to land right behind him. Silva Silva turned, his chain held taughtly between his hands, a smirk of anticipation brought on by the sound of wings. Finally something to ki-- He stopped, scowling at the sight of the other feien, the scowl turning to shock, the shock turning to a leering grin as he noticed just what a fine looking feien it was. "Hell, Darlin, if you wanted to come over you coulda just knocked. We've got a door, you know." He said, completely ignoring the fact that she topped him by a good two inches. Sunil Sunil raised one eyebrow and put her hands on her hips before replying. "I didn't come here to visit you. I don't even know you. I came here to find something to beat the crap out of - and you're not doing a very good job of convincing me you're not a perfect candidate." She didn't like that he seemed to wield a similar weapon to hers, and she especially didn't like that he seemed to have the same element as Quantel. It brought up emotions that had no place in this situation. Silva "Beat the crap out of, huh?" He asked musingly. "In my own backyard..." He looked her over, admiring the muscle structure, and the arrogant way she held herself. "Hell, you just might be able to." He chewed on his "toothpick" not looking too afraid. "Now... to convince you not to..." He looked thoughtful for a while, pulling his toothpick out and raising an eyebrow. "You can jump in with a suggestion any time now, darlin. The dirtier it is the happier I'll be." Sunil "Dirtier?" Sunil looked confused for a second, before snorting and bursting into laughter. "Are you... Are you hitting on me? I'm like twice your size, " she exaggerated before muttering something about damn juveniles. "Who the hell are you anyway?" It was a little intriguing he hadn't offered his name yet. Silva "I've always had a thing for large women, darlin." He said, a grin tugging on his lips. Making her laugh was a step closer to getting her in his opinion. "And I'm the feien whose backyard you're standing in. In some places they would call this trespassing. But I'm feeling generous." He pulled the chain over his shoulders, draping it like a necklace. "So, darlin, what brings you to my humble abode?" Sunil Sunil smirked. This little juvenile was arrogant. She wondered idly if he could back it up, and unwound the whip she had coiled over her shoulder. "You can only truly own what you can defend. Could you really stop me if I wanted this backyard as my own?" All this talk was starting to piss her off. Sunil wasnt good with these word games. She would much rather have her muscles do the talking. "I came to see you obviously. I heard of an incredibly attractive and intelligent new feien and I just had to see you for myself." She stepped closer and leaned in. "Now tell me your damn name before I beat it out of you like I did Calico." Silva He pulled his chain off his shoulders, smirking slightly. "Incredibly attractive, huh? I like that. But I can't tell you my name, Darlin. If I do then how else am I going to make you think about me after you've left?" Sunil Sunil shot out a hand and grabbed Silva by the neck. "Look squirt, I don't like games. See this?" She held up her whip so he could see it. "Its a whip. I know you're familiar with the concept because you have one. But mine is poisoned. I would suggest unless you want to rot from the inside you tell me your name. I'll even tell you mine, so you know who to fear in the future." Sunil wasn't sure the poison really would have such a strong effect, but she had found fear was just as powerful as pain in making things happen. Silva He gulped, feeling the air almost stop where her hand was. She was fast... faster than he was. And he could respect that. As well as the poison thing. He smirked, though the hint of pain in his eyes was hard to hide. "I think..." He tried to breathe, but nothing happened. "I'm in love." He finished, then kicked out, aiming for her gut. Sunil "Ooof!" Sunil bent over and grimaced, but did not loosen her hold. Instead she flipped the hand holding the whip and started working her way to the end and the bee stinger attached there. "You must be a glutton for punishment squirt." Silva He couldn't breathe, and that kick had taken what little breath he had had left. He watched, almost fatalistically as she groped for the end of her whip. Then damned himself for being so weak. "Al... right. Dammit." He gasped out, letting his body go limp. "Let me go and I'll... *gasp* tell you." Sunil Sunil snorted. "I'm not stupid. You tell me now and then I'll let you go." She kept groping for the end of the whip, wishing right now that she hadn't made it so damn long. Silva "Can't... breathe." He hissed, his hands tugging at her wrist. He was as strong as she was, he told himself, wrenching at the wrist and hoping to catch her off guard. Sunil Sunil's arm was starting to get tired, and his clawing at her didn't help. "If you can say that you can say your damn name." She had to respect his tenacity however, so when she reached the end of her whip, she lifted it up to scrape his cheek with the bee stinger and then released him completely. Silva He stood slowly, touching the scratch on his cheek and watching her. He could feel a little of the poison working its way into his veins, but he still felt like smirking. "My name, Darlin... is one that I'm going to become strong enough for you to remember." He told her, taking a slight step back. He needed to get to the shadows... before he fainted. "It's Silva." He didn't tell her because she had beaten him. He told her because he wanted her to know. He took another step back, melting into the shadows without a trace. Sunil Sunil frowned and yelled into the darkness. "If you need a cure, come find me. I don't know what poison does untreated to a feien." And with that tidbit, Sunil lifted herself off the ground and headed for home. She had a lot to mull over. Silva Silva stumbled through the grass, tripping over a few twigs here and there until he got to the hose that Ice had left on the small tree. He fell to his stomach, stcking his head in the slowly flowing water, then taking gulp after gulp to try to purify himself. After that he scooped a little of the mud up, putting it on the scrape. He rolled over, staring at the sky as he waited for what little poison that had gotten into his blood to run its course. Idly he wondered if he would have a scar from this encounter... Her mark, so to say. He cursed, then shoved the thought to the back of his mind. He had been joking about the "love" part... his caustic nature kicking in at the worst time. But still... there was something about her that intrigued him. He was passed out when Ice finally found him, her flashlight beam falling on his face. He cracked open an eye, then groaned, covering his face with his forearm and looking away as she picked him up and headed for the house. "Man, Silva, how'd you get so muddy?" He didn't reply, looking over to the house behind theirs even as they entered their own.

*The next day*
Silva stared down at his hand, feeling irritation with himself even as he slowly pulled his dumbbell up again. He had been sick the night before, throwing up into one of those gigantic plastic cups that Ice always forgot to throw away till the end of the week. Ice had been worried, but he hadn't explained. He didn't plan on explaining any time soon.
He needed to get stronger and faster, he told himself, gritting his teeth as his muscles protested. So what if he was still a juvenile? He knew his mind. He wasn't going to cowtow to the adults just because they were taller than him. It wasn't in his nature. As for the blue feien... well... He would deal with that when he had to.
He silently cursed himself, wondering what he had found attractive about her in the first place. Then he snorted. Hell, of course he would find her attractive. He seemed to have a slight propensity to being self-destructive, after all. That and she had a really... REALLY great body.
"Gonna haveta find some girls my own age." He muttered, chewing on his toothpick and switching hands. "A couple of them... say, three or four." He smirked, pleased by this idea. "Preferably ones that don't talk."
Idly he changed his lifting style, wondering if girls his own size came with curves.

((Another guild RP, formatting stolen from Kamtrouble again heart )) In Which Ruya Meets Silva and Sunil Makes a Proposal (** Moved From Guild **) Sunil Sunil took back up her perch on the fence again and gazed out over the yard. She didn't see anything so she sighed and sat down, tapping her chin with one finger. She had a lot to think about. So many things to bring together. This was a good place to think, maybe she would claim this fence as her own while the weather was nice. Silva She was watching HIS yard. He scowled, staring out the window for a second. It was too damn bright outside for his taste... but she was lording over HIS yard like a queen at court. He stepped back into the curtains and jumped off the ledge into Ice's room, heading for the door. He couldn't beat her... but that didn't mean he couldn't try. A few minutes later Silva stood in the doorway to the backyard, his arms crossed over his chest, his chain doubled and hanging loosely around his hips. He was debating walking across the yard to go talk to her. "Dammit... why'd Ice have to pick a house next to another feien, anyways?" He finally muttered, jumping down the stairs and slowly making his way across the yard. Sunil and Ruya Sunil felt him coming and smiled to herself. She stretched, and turned to face her own yard. Her posture said he was beneath her notice. "Sunil?" Another voice cut across the yard and a juvenile feien with dual tone hair flapped out of the house. "Sunil? Are you out here?" Sunil whipped her head around as Ruya set down on the fence and faced her. "You left a note in my room?" "I'm busy, I don't have time to deal with you right now." "Ooo-kay... busy doing what?" Sunil ground her teeth in frustration and turned away from her, hoping Ruya would take a hint. "Hey, is that another feien? Hello!" Ruya waved and smiled in Silva's general direction, while Sunil sighed and steeled herself for an interesting encounter. Silva Silva's right eye twitched when she turned her back on him. Damn her... He scowled at her back for a while before turning to the other feien. "What is this, an infestation?" He muttered, chewing on his toothpick and looking the newcomer over. She was cute... colorful, at least. A smirk pulled at his lips as he had a thought. More than one person could play that game. "Hello, little Darlin." He called up to Ruya. "You new?" Sunil and Ruya "New? Not really, I'm just not an adult yet. Are you new?" Ruya fluttered down to by Silva and looked at the chain wrapped around his hips with a little bit of worry. "I'm Ruya!" She stuck out her hand to shake his. Above on the fence, Sunil watched the scene with a growing sense of unease. She didn't want them talking. She wanted Ruya being tortured by Calico and Silva talking to her, coming under her sphere of influence. She groaned and resigned herself to waiting Ruya out. Silva He could literally FEEL her anger, he thought, smirking slightly before taking the offered hand. With an easy motion he pulled the hand to his mouth, brushing a kiss over her knuckles. "Charmed, Darlin, I'm sure." She would be easy, he thought, slowly letting her hand go. Nowhere near as interesting as the blue one, but that wasn't the point. The blue one needed punished for doing what she had done to him. Sunil and Ruya Ruya giggled a little before pulling back her hand. "You remind me of someone I once knew a little bit. Very sure of yourself. I assume you live here?" She gestured to the house behind him. "I had no idea we had another feien living so near to us." Ruya could tell Sunil was pouting up on her perch, so she smiled and politely made a retreat. "Well, I can tell Sunil would like to speak with you alone, so I'll go back inside. But I'll have to come visit sometime, so we can chat some." Ruya fluttered up, over the fence, and back inside with a wave. Sunil glowered at her until she was inside before deigning to speak to Silva from her height. "I suggest you don't get too attached, Silva." Her warning said, Sunil swooped down and landed by Silva. "You feeling alright, " she asked with a sneer. Silva "I'm fine. No thanks to you. She yours?" He asked, nodding to the house where Ruya had retreated. "She's cute." He smirked, trying not to laugh at the "attached" comment. That's exactly what he wanted her thinking. "So... Sunil. There a reason you're in my yard again? Come to finish me off?" Sunil "No. As far as I know Ruya doesn't belong to anyone, " Sunil snorted, " She just isn't going to be doing well in a couple days if my plans pan out. Sunil sighed and fingered her whip. Finishing him off was a tempting suggestion, but it didn't fit in her current scheme. "Of course not, dear Silva, " she turned away hiding her expression, "I have a proposal for you." Silva He snorted, raising an eyebrow. "Marriage already? When I haven't even gotten a snog? Sorry, darlin, but I'm gonna haveta decline." He smirked, turning slightly to leave. Sunil Sunil turned around to face him, glaring. "Not that kind of proposal you twit!" Sunil took a deep breath. "You want to get stronger, yes? And I am stronger. I am willing to teach you feien magic in return for a favor from you. I want you to be a sparring partner for another juvenile I am assisting. I believe you would both benefit from the arrangement." Silva "... Sparring?" He repeated, tasting the word and finding it lacking. "I don't... spar... darlin. I hunt. And I'm not particularly fond of dealing with other feien. They're either ditzy, annoying, or poisonous." He scowled, her promise to make him stronger chipping at his resolve. "But I might be willing to... negotiate." Sunil Sunil grimaced. Calico probably fell under poisonous and annoying. "What are your terms?" She figured she could at least hear him out. Silva "Let me think it over for a bit, Darlin. Even I'm not stupid enough to jump into this blindly. And just for the record. I haven't agreed to anything. Hell, I might just decide to settle down, get myself a nice little girlfriend... that one girl, maybe." He stopped, smirking slightly, then thinking of something. "And I want to know the name of this... sparring partner you have lined up for me, Darlin." Sunil Sunil smiled slightly. "I told you to leave Ruya alone. I have plans for her. And as for this partner, he doesn't give out his name lightly. Much like you. I might be able to set up a meeting if you wanted to meet him before deciding." Silva He scowled, knowing when it was time to retreat. "Maybe later, Darlin. I need some time to... think." He took a step back, smirking at the sight of the shadows, then disappeared. Sunil Sunil scowled. That shadows trick was starting to annoy her. She could still see him of course, but only magically. She decided not to reveal that particular tidbit and retreated herself. After all she still had to speak to sweet Ruya.
