Marie grinned and neighed loudly. She darted off in on direction, carrying her as fast as her legs could take her. "C'mon Slowpoke, you'll miss all the fun!" She bucked for a second and continued, she was energetic today. Almost too energetic, the kind of energetic you get when you're so deep in love you cant control your body. It almost frightened the mare.
She ran over a hill and then on some flat terrain, but came to a stop as she stepped onto a soft surface. "Mud?" She questioned herself as her face fronwed. mud was your coat's worst enemy. Or so her mother had taught her, she stepped back and wiped her hooves and shins on the grass, perhaps now wasnt the best time to get to the cloverfields at all.

Kiun laughed and followed Marie, but skidded to a stop at the mud. He laughed as she wipped the mud off of her, but then frowned. There didn't seem to be a way to get across without going through the mud. He looked around some more, but it was difficult to see where the mud became solid dirt.
He trotted over to where Marie stood, and said, "How will you get across? I can just fly over, but you m'dear, seem to be lacking a pair of wings" He winked, trying to lighten the mood.

Marie's frown grew worse at the thought of Kiun leaving her behind. "Let's look for a way around it?" She said softly , looking into his eyes. "If not, we can find something even more special to do?" She looked around frantically, there had to b a way to simply get past mud, and the sun would dry it eventually. But patience was not with her, and she knew it.

Kiun bit his lip, it seemed that he had upset Marie even more. He nuzzled her, and said gently, "I'll fly above and see if there is a way across." He grinned and added, "Don't worry, I won't fall for some pretty sparrow gliding around." He lifted his wings and thrust them down, pushing himself up into the air. He glided about a hundred feet above the mud, looking for a dry way across.

Marie laughed and nodded. "Alright Dear, be careful~" She said loudly as he took off and soared across the sky. Marie meanwhile layd on the grass, enjoying the calm breeze and thinking about spending more time with Kiun, and there future family together.

Kiun looked over the landscape, and dropped fifty feet to get a better view. The rain had pretty much turned the land into a giant mud pit. It was only about seventy or so to the other side, but far enough to provide a problem. He saw a tree line half a mile or so from where he had started out, and landed on the ground to check if it would provide a way across. The mud pit ran right up to the trees, but in the forest itself, the ground was nice and solid.
Kiun took off again to make sure that it led to the other side, and it did! It went right around the mudpit. He glided back to where Marie was lying on the grass, and landed with a triumphant whinny. He called out, "There's a stand of tree's about half a mile down, it goes right around the mud pit."

Marie nodded silently and procedded to move in the direction instructed. She was still a bit upset over the fact it would take atleast half a mile more to get to the clover fields.
But she began to smile as the tree's came into sight, perhaps now would be the time to tell Kiun her plans for future children, and by future, she ment soon.

Kiun walked along side Marie, not wanting to leave her for the skies again. He smiled as the trees came into sight, and nudged Marie, saying, "See? We'll get to the clover fields in no time" Marie seemed to be lost in thought, so Kiun, grinning and feeling mischievous, grabbed a birds feather and tickled her with it.

9Marie laughed for a few seconds, but then managed to escape the feather. She smiled warmly and nudged Kiun slightly. "Kiun... I have a question, a important one." He continued to keep pace toward the clover fields. Perhaps she would be able to bring up further discussion after she asked the question.

Kiun smiled and dropped the feather, watching it float away on the breeze. It twisted and twirled, dipped and rose. His attention snapped back to Marie as he heard her. He cocked his head a little and asked curiously, "Yes m'dear?" and then returned her nuzzle, burying his nose in her silky mane.

Marie nuzzled him, as if trying to bribe him to be happy with his question. "Do you like Kids , Kiun...?" She asked softly, but without giving a hint of her next question. She blinked as she saw the landscape slowly changing under there feet. Alas, they were at the clover fields! She chose a spot which had layers of clovers growing over each other, it almost felt like a sponge on her body as she laid onto onto it.

Kiun thought about that question, wondering if Marie wanted him to babysit. He turned white at the thought of it. When his heardmate Qin's son Martin had needed to be babysat, Kiun had always been stuck with the job. That stallion as a foal had been a babysitters worst nightmare, and the peanut butter! Oh no!!!
Kiun pushed the horrifying memories of Martin away and thought about it honestly, did he like kids? He didn't really know, he had babysat a couple of foals one time, they had been pretty fun to be with. "Well, I guess. I haven't really had that much time to spend with them" He replied. "Martin was a horror as a foal, but the rest were just really cute and fuzzy".

Marie laughed. "Well, I'm glad you do, I guess." She picked a clover and offered it to Kiun. "Kiun, I think in our relationship.... only one thing is missing." She prodded his shoulder with her nose. "I am a mare with few years left, and I would love for you to be the father of my foals." She looked away, embarrassed she admitted she was most likely older then kiun.

Kiun was taken aback, and his mouth dropped open. His legs were trembling, and he wraped his wings around himself tight, as if trying to shield himself from the thoughts that were rushing about in his head. Him? A father? He didn't know if he could take on that responsiblity, it was just so much all at once. Of course he had known that eventually he and Marie would want kids of their own, but he didn't think it would be this soon that she would be interested in it.
Though it might be fun to have kids...he thought to himself. He could teach them how to fly, if they had wings, and tell them stories about Martin as a foal, and all the adventures that he and his herdmates had gotten into. Now that he really thought about it, he liked the idea.
He smiled warmly at Marie, and nuzzled her. He responded gently, "I think that would be a great idea."

Marie smiled and nuzzled him, she then got up and walked over to a tall hilltop. She chuckled and yelled to kiun. "Great! Because i'm already expecting!" She bucked on her back legs and began to gallop playfully away from kiun, knowing he'd follow and eventually catch up.
