Sorry that I'm totally offshooting from your idea, but when I saw it, I just had to also give my input. Either way, if these ideas earn any points, they'll go to the same house.
There should also be user-created spells. They should be based on the same language as the real spells that are currently available, so as not to deviate too far from the original spells and charms. There could be a thread full of them, sort of like an encycopedia and the first few posts will be the whole list of them. and the spells cant be dangerous.
ex: if i wanted an exact spell for washing a cup, i would have to go look up the language the spells are in and create a spell specifically to that purpose. kinda like the way hermione created "oculus reparo" from just regular old "reparo". it would eliminate the use of "the *insert random color* blast hit her and *insert random effect*
and of course mod approval would be needed.

I was sitting here thinking about the open positions we still have and realized that we're giving people the chance to apply to be the school nurse, but we don't have a Hospital wing. :O So, my suggestion: add one! lol I know it costs to add subforums, so I thought it could be added to the Ever changing forum for the duration of the school year, then moved to memorable threads when the forum switches back to the train (as I can only assume it will at the end of the year). And we could always pull it back out when the next school year starts, or create another thread for the new year.
((If we totally have a hospital wing and I just managed to miss it, you have my permission to knock me upside the head with a blunt object. xD ))

I'm not sure if the "outside Hogwarts" one covers that or if it's just for things completely outside the school and its grounds.

I know we don't have all that many students yet, but it seems to me that there should be a separate thread in each House for the different dorms. I know that makes for a lot of threads, but for dorms with 10-20 people, it does make sense. Perhaps if you grouped years together it would work better? (IE: 1, 2, and 3; 4 and 5; and maybe separate ones for 6th and 7th years?)

Suggestion: Seeing as how Hogsmeade has yet to be open, what about the Professors that live there? Would they just...disappear? And, wouldn't the other Professors go down to Hogsmeade for drinks...or...something? It's not like they spend every waking moment in the castle, making sure all students stay in line. They need to have fun too!

Suggestion: We already have a birthday thread for everyone, but what about a birthday thread for the characters? Every character cannot have a birthday during the summer, if they did..Well that would be a creepy cooincedence.

Suggestion: Since every morning in the Great Hall the owls come in to deliver the mail maybe there should be a notification as to when they come in so the roleplayers can write about what their families have sent them.

Roleplayers can just state on their own when/if their owl arrives in the morning, since everyone isn't roleplaying mornings at the same time, that would get confusing.
