Once again Sheik was creeping forward. This one looked young and probably wouldn't be a very fast or skilled runner. That made it vulnerable. The blues of his garb melted into the shadows that he hid himself in as he edged closer and closer.

Not really as experienced with sensing danger, the young rabbit continued to crawl over the forest floor. It wasn't really moving any closer or any farther away from Sheik at the moment. And after a few steps, it paused to sniff the ground, and continuing on in ignorance.

This time Sheik wouldn't wait for it to notice him. He lunged forward and swiped out with his paw in an attempt to knock it over. Once it was down he could easily pin it and break it's leg too. His right forepaw lashed out towards the rabbit, hoping to feel it connect.

As the dragonfly lunged, the rabbit suddenly got the feeling that its life was now in danger. So it began to dart off, but it was a little too slow. The rabbit stumbled as it was swiped with a paw, but it wasn't enough to keep it pinned to the ground. Scrambling about, it just tried to flee.

Sheik had succeeded in knocking the rabbit but not in catching it yet. After his swipe he slammed both paws on the ground to regain his balance before springing back after the rabbit in an attempt to pin it to the ground.

Squirming about, the rabbit was soon pinned to the ground by the larger creature's paws. It squeaked and wriggled and kicked desperately while trying to escape.

Now for the breaking of this one's legs. Sheik murmured a short mental apology before slamming his paw down. Normally he would quickly kill a rabbit, not draw out the agony like this. He didn't have time to waste feeling sorry for it or himself, though. He just had to keep going with his task.

As with the victim before it, the rabbit screamed in pain as one of its legs broke. Quivering as it attempted to curl up in defense, the rabbit pawed at Sheik's much larger paws as well. Still, this one wouldn't be getting away too far any time soon.
((I'm sure you're not attacking again right now but if you are, roll 1d10. Higher than a 1 is a success, with the same numbers as criticals.))

Damage done, Sheik lifted the pained and frightened rabbit and quickly made for the place that he had deposited his first rabbit. Going back there would give him the time to check on his first and by stashing them together it would make things a little simpler for the final step in this bloody quest. Stashing his second rabbit with the first, Sheik paused for a brief rest before going back out into the forest.

The first rabbit was still where Sheik had left it, though now it was squirming slightly once again. The second rabbit put up little struggle as it was stashed away along with the original captive. So the two rabbits remained in place, entangled by the bush, as well as hindered from their fresh injuries.
The final rabbit was further off by a river, taking a drink from its cool waters. As with the others before it, it tried to remain alert as it went on with its life. However, it was on the other side of the small stream than the direction the dragonfly would have to come from.
((Not sure if you're approaching yet, but when you do, roll 1d20. 10 and higher will mean you are undetected.))

Sheik noticed the rabbit across the stream and began to think of how he could get across while still escaping notice. He decided to try to sneak up as close to the opposite bank as he could without gathering notice and then making the leap across and giving chase. If he went downstream far enough to escape notice from the rabbit while crossing it would likely be gone by the time he got back. With this in mind he began his foray closer.

Lifting its head up in awareness, the rabbit caught Sheik in the corner of its dark eye. Without any hesitation, it bolted off away from the predator in hopes of fleeing.

That hadn't gone as planned. Sheik resolved himself to give this more practice after this adventure was over. He abandoned his stealthy position to leap across the stream and give chase to the rabbit. This was the last one he needed to chase down and he was determined to catch it.

Running as quickly as it could without turning back, the rabbit bolted through trees and rocks, hoping to lose the dragonfly behind it. Nothing was really going through its mind except to get away and to possibly find a safe place.

A loose stone dug into Sheik's paw as he dashed over it but he didn't have time to examine the pain now... not if he wanted to catch the rabbit. He dug his claws into the ground in an attempt to gain more maneuverability and kept chasing the rabbit relentlessly, lashing out with another strike when he drew close enough.
