x3 thisismysn x3 Srta Tap Dance I went to 7 years of english school to be literate sweatdrop
if I make a mistake it's because I need more practice
and I can't read chat speak ;T
my portuguese is mostly perfect ;D
kyoxtohru - I can't read it either.
It makes my brain cells die though.  It's the way you make me laugh...Yeah.
Whenever I see it, I could swear.
At least 100 of my brain cells instantly dissolved.

I was talking to someone once, and she was, like, the most illiterate person you would ever meet. I told her she spelled like a Kindergartener, and she said "kindergardener**
u cant eeven speell rite and ur callin me illeterate?"
First of all, isn't it spelled Kindergarten? Gah.
And that last sentence was a nightmare.
I was sitting there, laughing my a** off. ...when I don't even want to smile.

I don't mind illiteracy all that much. Some people don't speak it so well because it's not their first language. What really pisses me off is when it IS someone's first language and they live in say the US. It's like "Learn to speak your own damn language!" or "Pay attention in school!" D:<
That level of laziness where you can't spell out your words is just terrible. But when you try to correct someone they get mad and make it out like you're some kind of snob that cares too much about small details.
I think it's more like telling someone that their fly is undone.

oh yes I am literate and yay! Sorry, it's just that I joined when I was eleven too. Nobody found me out, but when I sometimes told how old I really was people would go "0.0 what!?!? I thought you were like 14 or something"
I don't really mind some illiteracy either,but when it starts going towards that chat speak, that I didn't know existed since maybe October or earlier(At first I was thinking, What the ******** are they saying??? , excuse my foul language), I go crazy and I sometimes feel like screaming at them ,"Did you go to school?!? ,but I don't because I know they will either reply with, "shud u^p No087b" or some other rant that I can't understand.
I swear, everytime I see that dreadful excuse of a tongue or chat speak I lose a few brain cells

Maybe it even got to Bush already! (Er sorry to insult if you like Bush, it's just that I never had a feel for him even when he was running in 2000 when I was 5 in kindergarden. Also that joke was just bursting from me and I couldn't hold it)

Hehe. English isn't my first language either, but I've been at an international that only allows you to speak English, so it made me literate.
