Smiling gently, Chau reache down and licked the little cub's ears. She was an intelligent little thing, full of knowledge and obviously full of questions. That would suit her well in life and Chau was happy to see that. Surely she could come up with better questions for the next time that Chau met her out on the savannah.
Of course that would be a long time coming. Chau had her mate to return to and the sands that would someday make her home.
"Be careful on your way home, I look forward to future riddles from you that even I cannot crack." Chau responded, her smile impish and nearly crazy as she turned and trotted off as well, looking for the desert and Kigao.
