Azaroth cringed hearing his name called. He knew already that tone couldn't mean anything good, especially when it was coming from Rowena in her present condition. Still, no point in delaying the inevitable. "You called?" he asked in his typical emotionless manner.

Tihalt sighed as his sister dragged him to get dressed "Can't i just wear my normal clothes?"
Galiena smirked "Nope.. you need to look fruffy... maybe something with ruffles..."
Tihalt gaped at her "Please tell me you're joking!"

Aquaria glanced at the pool to check her appearance. "I've never been to a ball before...I haven't a clue as to what to do in the company of nobility." She sighed, her hoof delicately sliding over the water, urging it to come and join with her hoof.
Mara came up behind the aqua pony, placing a friendly wing on her shoulder. "You'll be fine. Do you know who your escort is going to be?"
"I think one of Zephyr's boys is taking you. He's a good kid and will keep an eye out for you.

Aquilo preened his wings, trying to get a couple of rouge feathers to stay in place. "Mother, I have never met Miss Aquaria. Are you sure that it is appropriate for me to escort her to this ball?"
"I'm sure, 'Quilo. Besides, no one would be nicer and gentler with her than you. She'll need someone to help her with her court etiquette, and you are perfect for that since you have gone to Olympus so many times." Zephyr fixed Aquilo's cow lick, but it sprang back up to where it previously had been.

Azaroth wrinkled his nose. There was no way. "I dislike socializing. And I detest dances. I'm afraid you'll have to find someone else for this, Rowena."

Orme groaned after Uma left "Its a dress ball..." he turns and eyes Arda...and their looking for females. He grins "Come Arda, I think you should borrow some of Amil's jewels"
Arda blinks at her brother "Oh Orme, must I?" she knew the jewels of her mother suited her. they had teh same green coloring, and the emerald set gold set off her eyes magnificantly. She just didn't want to draw attention to herself. She was already different.
Orme nods his head strongly. "Yes, you must" he smiles softly "But we will stay for awile before going home to get them. Then at least perhaps you can meet some other first"

Rowena frowned at him "You dislike it because you suck at it.. and you dislike anything you can't do well. You don't HAVE to dance.. just go and have some fun." She tugged at him "C'mon.... don't you want to see the kind of matches that some will try to make. It might be a good laugh..."

Ruth was approached by a strange black pony and was given an invitation.
"Hmmm." Ertania ran up to him with Ithrailiv close behind. "What's that Ruth?" He smiled wickedly. "It's an invitation to a ball. You two are going."
Erty looked at him oddly. "Oh wait one minute! What do you mean us two?!" Ithra hissed at Ruth. "I will not dress and make pretty for a bloody male!" Ruth shrugged. "I already had Pepper make you dresses though." They both cringed!

Ro smirked "Oh really? Then come to the party with me and show me you don't suck at socializing. Otherwise I have the right to say you suck at it." She grinned "I bet I can think up a bunch of cute nicknames about that too..."

Amara's eyes suddenly lit with excitement. "What are we going to wear?"
"We?" Delilah echoed giving the pony a look.
"You will go with me, won't you Delilah, please?" Amara looked at her, her eyes begging. "I know so few ponys here..."
Delilah sighed, having the distinct feeling she was getting herself into trouble. "Of course, I'll go with you, Amara. I might even know where we could borrow something to wear..."

Seiphira Mairead eventually made herself look a lot more presentable, but still. What were the chances of getting to know the princes? All the girls might be fighting over them. It just wasn't in her heart to hurt others for a prince. It was just too cruel. The pegasus pony lightly tossed her hair back and headed out for the ball. Hopefully she could at least make friends if the girls would fight over the boys.

Rowena blinked innocently at him "Perhaps... do I seem the type to follow such laws though?" She sighed and looked around "I guess I can understand if you're scared... all those young ladies dressed up could be a frightening thing to face. There's bound to be fighting as well.... girls always go crazy when the chance to marry royalty."

Aquauria continued to play in the water, not acknowledging Mara's attempt to befriend her.
Aquaria, I got you an appointment at the tailor's for this afternoon. They are going to make you a wonderful dress." Mara beamed and tugged at Aquaria to move on towards the tailor's shoppe.
"I've never worn a dress in my life. Why should I start now?" She stood and shook the water from her hoof, sadness creeping into her eyes at having to leave the pool of water. She felt connected to the water on a higher level. Being without any body of water near her made her feel like she was dying.

"Aquilo! Miss Mara has set up a time for you and Aquaria to go to the tailor's this afternoon. You will both be fitted for party clothes, darling." She began checking on flowers for a corsage for Aquaria when Chronos appeared from the trees. "Lord Chronos! It is a pleasure to see you this fine day! To what do we owe the honor?"
Aquilo turned to look over his shoulder. "Lord Chronos! Greetings." Aquilo bowed slightly, as was formal in the Court of the Gods his herd maintained.
Chronos bowed back at the green pegasus unicorn. "You look like you are going to a funeral, Aquilo. Who has died?"
"Only Mother's idea of virtue." He laughed nervously, waitng for his mother to hit him as she usually did.
