Wazaam looked to Alas, though untrusting, and nodded, holding out his paw to her. He cringed as it was still very tender.. But he'd felt worse pains. His emerald eyes were gleaming as he thought of the intruders.
"The pack lines need to be watched better... I can't be the only one to defend the area from neighboring wolves."
He gruffed, thinking back.
Allah looked at her a nd shook his head quickly, approching her and offering a gentle nuzzle.
"No,no it's not your fault lovely. It's not. It's mine, as Im your protector."

Alas looked up at Wazaam a moment before examining his paw. "Your a great alpha Wazaam...don't worry I'll have these out in a moment." She bent close and carefully started to snap out the little thorns. She angled her head this way and that and with tender care she pulled out each little spine with her teeth. She examined his paw a moment and frowned giving it a light lick and frowning. "Hmm...that will itch...I better put something on it so it won't bother you while you walk..."
She looked at him and gently nudged her head so he would follow her up towards the dens. Alas had chosen one near the alpha pair, at first she had enjoyed being close to young Twist hoping she could love her like a daughter, as time passed and Twists true personality came to light she had stayed close to ensure she couldn't be backstabbed as easily. She nodded softly at Wazaams words "You need help...yet when it's offered to you you're quick to reject it..." She eyed him carefully "You don't have to trust me...but Ajax has done nothing to earn the type of distrust you showed him, are you so insecure with Twist that you had to act like a threatened pup?"
She knew her words were harsh, but the way the pack was acting had grated on her nerves until her usual soft spoken and sweetened words had become blunt when addressing issues like the one she had seen. She frowned a bit and looked at Wazaam feeling suddenly bad for her tone, he was a victim in this too a pup manipulated into adulthood. "I'm sorry...it only frustrates me the way the pack acts...more divided then united. We have no reason to act that way with one another."
Disneyana smiled softly and licked his pricked nose. "We can protect each other..." It felt wonderful despite their encounter with the alpha of the lands, she had enjoyed the time by the sea. Her mind was buzzing with the image of the powerful waves crashing against the cliff, the vastness of it. She pranced a bit leaping towards the open meadow where her rose covered den was. "I'll help take the sting away..." She circled Allah playfully and nuzzled him enjoying the shared moment together.

Wazaam looked to Alas, his eyes seeming to understand before he could react on anger at her words. He was no where near insecure..
But.. He did feel he needed to protect the pack.. And Alas's words at the pack being divided... Were true, and gave him the confirmation he had been seeking.
Thats why he had been defensive.. The pack itself had been divided, and he felt he needed to defend his position.
His emerald eyes eyed his paw, as his nose lowered to sniff it. The thorns were gone, and the pain subsided.
He supposed he owed the femme a thank you.
"Alas.. Thanks.. For your help.."
He said.
"You're right. The pack is divided.. But I m ust defend the wolves within it.. I cannot afford to be weak minded."
He said, looking back at her.
He wasnt going to go into detail, as Twist would have his hide for thinking the pack was divided.. She tried hard not to see it that way..
Or so he thought..

Allah smiled, still unsure about having led her on bad lands.. But he liked the words he heard from her.
His wounds were nothing compared to his heart.
"You brighten my life."
He said, offering her a gentle nuzzle before looking into he reyes.
"Disney... would you be my mate?"
He asked.. jumping the gun a bit, but knowing it was okay.

Alas watched the alpha male with tender eyes and nodded softly moving to spread a thick gooey green substance on his paw pad and motioning for him to step on some crushed leaves. "There...that will seal up the little pricks and keep them from itching or infection...the water of the sea would be good for in in a day or so..."
She smiled softly and tilted her head "You owe me no thanks Wazaam I help all my pack mates because it's what's right, I've taught Adolfo much the same...I'm not sure how much longer Twist will want me around." There she had said it, now she watched the orange male for his reaction. Would he defend Twist? Agree with her? Or was he clueless as to her intents?
Disneyana smiled at the nuzzle and looked at him startled by the sudden questio, a grin crossed her muzzle and she happily pressed close to him.
"I have been alone so long Allah, but the way I feel with you...I know it's right. I will be your mate if you can understand...that I need to be in the open? With my roses?" She smiled softly already she knew her prince would accept the castle in which she dwelled, the palace of roses, their thorns, and bushes.

Wazaam looked at her and sniffed his paw again. What the hell was this stuff? .. No matter. There were more pressing issues at hand.
His ears perked as she spoke of Twist, and he couldn't help but c**k his head.
"If you do your job, and heal as you've done with me.. What would Twist ahve against you to have you.. removed from the pack?"
He asked, not knowing what was wrong with Alas, beside the fact he didn't really trust her..
But he knew far more wolves in the pack far less.. and trusted them less than that.. SO why would Alas be the one removed?
Allah smiled, and gave a soft nod.
"My princess, I shall forever dwell with your roses. Though Im not perfect.. and do make mistakes, as today has proven."
He offered with a light chuckle.
Truth was, he came close to being really, really hurt.. It could have been bad.. But it hadnt been.

"I'm sure Twist is upset by my friendship with the pack close to ours, the fact that I have friends there and a love...she feels threatened. The way that you felt about Ajax, though he has shown no disloyalty, so too is Twist fearful of loosing what she has amassed." She watched Wazaam's expression carefully.
"Along with that, there is a lynx that plagues her, that has injured other wolves in our territory, those that may have been our pack mates are being tortured and mangled by that terror. Hasn't she told you about it? About the wolf I heard of being tortured in a cave? The one who's eyes were ripped out that I found on the beach? I'm certain she's concerned...with the pups so close..." She looked at Wazaam her eyes knowing, she was a healer how could she NOT know the signs of new life growing within a female. While she had been welcomed to aid at one birth she knew Twist would not allow her to aid her in her moment.
If you show your true colors...I will save those pups from your wickedness Twist...I will.
Disneyana laughed and licked his muzzle tenderly careful of the scratches along his nose, she pressed close and nodded. "We all make mistakes, now we will make and learn from ours together..." A soft smile played on her muzzle.
She moved forward and brushed some rose petals over to the stream mashing them against the side before licking the gooey paste up. She licked his nose covering the scratches in the sweet scent. "That will sting a little, but help keep anything nasty from getting in there."
Disneyana flushed a little, she hoped he didn't think her silly but for her the roses did so much, she even ate the fallen petals as a sweet treat late in the summer with her meat.

Wazaam looked stricken. There was a lynx, hurting his pack members? Torturing them? The Male may have been brainwashed, but he was not stupid, and would not let something like that happen.
His eyes were wide as he spoke, his voice almost revelling in disbelief.
She had lied before.. Maybe she'd lie again.. But something about her.. made him believe her.
"Theres a lynx hurting my pack around here?" He asked.. Grimacing at the thought of tortured wolves and torn out eyes.
His concern for his pups deepened, and his eyes looked to the ground. What was he going to do? He had pups to defend.. He'd have to find.. and rid the pack of the menace.. For his children.

Alas shook her head," well there's a lynx torturing wolves in our territory...the one who's eyes...she ...she fled" Alas couldn't wipe the image from her mind, that poor black and green female the way she raced off in drugged pain blood still pooling in her empty sockets.
"I could show you where...but...it's dangerous. This lynx is in our territory, but she hasn't yet harmed any official pack members. It's just...I don't know I've told Twist, but I think...perhaps because she was so young she was uncertain how to handle things. She dislikes my mentioning it." Alas sighed softly, she would not tell Wazzam that she feared Twist and the lynx may be in league, partners to start a war with whoever crossed them...but in a war you needed soldiers, fodder.

Wazaam growled slightly,casting his head to the side as he stared at the earth.
Some things he just didnt want to know. It made his idea of life so much more difficult to bear.
Perking his ears, helooked back at the pink female, whom he had a bitter taste in his mouth from.
It wasnt her fault..but first impressions carried.
"And you're sure she's around here?"
He asked, cocking his head.
Standing, he looked towards the forest.
"Ill catch her then..and she shall die.."
Though, he knew very well he would do nothing to the lynx.
Allah smiled, shaking his head.
"Mistakes deserve to be punished."
He said grinning.
"I made a mistake, and I dealt with it. It made me stronger. Who I am today."
He shrugged.
"Or I thought I was strong at one point.

Alas gave a soft nod and ignored the growl, she sighed and moved to walk back to her own den, how difficult it was to watch others become fodder, pawns, brainwashed. She felt like a fool among it all screaming her warnings and being ignored in the crowd. She only hoped that it was all a mistake that she really was a fool, that Twist had good buried in her heart.
Disneyana placed her paw gently over Allah's and smiled. "Now we can be stronger together."
She worried at his attitude, her sense of caution might be a bit hyperactive, but still. She nuzzled Allah tenderly and licked his muzzle, she didn't want him to ever have to make a mistake he couldn't deal with, one that instead of bringing strength might destroy him.
She shook off the thought and scolded her fearful imagination, of course nothing like that would happen, Allah was no beast, he was her prince charming.

He smiled, nuzzling into his mate's soft mane around her neck, and sighed, closing his eyes, and humming softly.
He loved this female. He lvoed her with everythinghe was.
She accepted him for himself, and not the wolf she wanted him to be.
"I love you Dis.."
He said, before drifting off into a deep sleep.

Disneyana smiled softly and wrapped her tail with her mates, she snuggled between him the bed of rose petals and buried her muzzle against his paws.
"I love you too Allah..." She smiled softly, she knew her words would never be enough to express how much he meant to her.
