Ever since I started getting into Naruto, I always thought NaruSaku would be an awfully cliched ending. I wish that writers, and not just of manga, would not take the overused path of putting the hero/heroine magically together at the end.
I don't completely hate the pairing; some of the points the fans make seem to not make sense to me.
As for the SasuSaku ending, and since I'm a huge sap, I would love for X-TREME fluff. Even though it will most likely not happen, it's fun to imagine!
FTW.
Angst is good, too.

MooMooJuice I think the only reason I won't ever like NaruSaku is because Sakura is always hitting Naruto, sometimes regardless of his physical health or wether he actually deserved it (Although I must admit, she's better than some other females I've seen that play a simliar role). ... I think I also don't like NaruSaku for the fact that -dare I say it- I think Sakura acts really immature when she's around Naruto compared when she's around Sasuke. Especially as she gets older. As stupid as this sounds, Sasuke really brings out the woman in her. ( >_> ) I can see where people think SasuSaku is similiar, just their roles are switched... but it's really not (I'm sure we all know what I mean).

I REFUSE to believe Sakura will end up with Naruto in the end. I was watching Sakura/Sasuke AMVs last night, and it was just so obvious... She isn't going to be with anyone else if she isn't with Sasuke.

I'm having a strong feeling that Naruto will end with like an open ending, where everyone is friends again, but the fans are left to decide how it's gonna end. I don't know why, but that is what I think is going to happen.

l- yu -l Tazome I doubt Masashi Kimimoto will make any couple definite. He may hint it, but I doubt he'll make any of the couples happen. He is very aware of the sub-culture (us awsome narutard people), so he probably doesn't want to dissapoint the large groups. And I know we want SasuSaku, but Sasuke's been a bit of a f**, so he better work for a Sakura relationship. I'm afraid he might take advantage of her (for an heir). SakuNaru isn't the end of the world. And I hate to say it, but NaruSaku is likely because the series is about Naruto. He wants to be hokage, he wants Sakura (sort of), he wants Sasuke back, he will want a final showdown with Sasuke, and he wants Akatsuki to end The protagonist probably will get what he/she wants-that's how stories work-usually. i n e e d 
First up, Kishimoto has already revealled that at least one pairing is going to become canon. After he has focused his manga so much around romance and the emotion of love, it is unlikely for him to leave it hanging like that.
For second, I don't think whether or not Sasuke has 'been a f**' is relevant, as I believe that Sakura has come to terms with Sasuke's revenge. She knows that she cannot stop him from wanting revenge and she's not trying to.
Her aim is to bring Sasuke back safely - not for herself, but for his own wellbeing.
I think that we are told quite obviously that it is not her priority when she tries to convince him to take her along with him.
Thirdly.
I have complete faith that if SasuSaku becomes canon, that situation will not happen. Why? Because Sasuke has been deprived of a loving family for half his life. If he was going to bring in heirs, I am positive that he would want to make sure that they were happy - something that he was not and will not be until he avenges his parents.
And finally, the touchy subject of NaruSaku and what Naruto wants.
Now, while it is obvious that the series is centered around Naruto, I do not think that it is going to be so 2D as 'Naruto will get what he wants because he is the protagonist.'
For one - Kishimoto has already revealled that in the future, he hopes to give the story to Sasuke, Sakura and Kakashi. He has said that Naruto 'has to wait.'
Now, while this does not state outwardly that this means chances of SasuSaku, we can pretty much guess that there will be happenings of it.
Because a majority of what Sakura does is centered around love and her love for Sasuke. Whether or not this love for him has been transfered to Naruto has not been stated, and so NaruSaku is still currently one-sided.

If Sakura is still the Sakura I know, she will not give up just because Sasuke turned her down for something that she knows he has to do.

It does not matter if the series is centered around Naruto.
That is obviously NOT Sakura's outlook on life.
We have already been shown in the manga that Sakura is more mature than Naruto when it comes to love. While he is asking for dates, she tells him to focus his time on TRAINING like he SHOULD BE. After all, he promised to bring Sasuke back for HER.
I am not trying to be Anti-Naruto by this statement at all, but Naruto needs to grow up and focus his priorities like Sakura has. Everything she has done in the training has been centred around bringing Sasuke back..

 s l e e pIt was more like a mini essay to me. I totally agreed! But the best way to find out whether SasuSaku is canon or not is to watch/read it until the end. Crossing fingers that Kishimoto will make the right decision! If it doesn't happen, it will be a waste of the romantic hints and the characters' buildups.

I believe Kishi is leaning towards NaruHina and has not hinted any other pairing near the end as of yet. If you read the recent chapters that have be freshly translated you'll understand what I mean.

norngpinky MooMooJuice It may just be my opinion of Sasuke, but I can't see him ever using Sakura. Sakura is his friend, and he respects her. Sasuke is desperate to kill Itachi because the murder affected him so deeply, and now he has something to protect. There is no reason for him to have the same desperation to revive his clan, especially if he doesn't plan to do so until all threats are gone. So I don't see why he would use Sakura. Or even want to for that matter. Sasuke's not so cold-hearted. Not to mention, using Sakura would be like how his brother used him. I think the last thing Sasuke wants is to become as heartless as Itachi. As for NaruSaku, let's not forget Hinata, shall we? :' )
Although I think that idea would make a perfect little cute fanfic, having Sasuke planning on using Sakura at first for whatever reason he might have and then ends up falling in love with her. And while the plan is almost complete, Sasuke decides he cannot hurt Sakura because he loves her too much, but Sakura finds out by someone/thing before Sasuke has a chance to tell her...So blah blah, and after some complication they end up together in the end. The End.
{I know it's a cliche idea....but...but...o.~ }

I really wanted SasuSaku to happen because well, who else does he belong with. I mean Sasuke hasn't been around many girls, well besides Karin but I don't think he sees her as a close friend yet. She did act weird at times. But Sakura seems to understand him even if its in the slightest bit. And through the time Sasuke has been gone, in the anime and manga, she has always showed hurt towards him leaving. She hasn't moved on. I think she likes Naruto more as a brother than a love interest. I just can't see those two together. I think SasuSaku has a chance of becoming canon.
