Brianna sat there, frozen in her current position.D..Did Xander just kiss me? she asked herself, her face so purple that the heat transfered down to her tail instead. "I..I.." she stuttered as she ended up looking into his eyes. "..Okay, I'll eat something.." she finally managed to squeak, forcing herself to look at the ground. "B..But I'm still not too sure about the flying..Its not you, though," she said quickly, looking back up at Xander. "You're really sweet, I like you..But..I just don't know what might happen. And that just made me sound even more idiotic," Brianna finished with a sigh, her eyes closing as she tried to remain calm. Her head wasnt pounding anymore--no, now it was her heart. But she wasn't sure what to do. "Well..I suppose we'd better trek off now.."

"I..I don't know," Brianna said with a sigh, her tail wrapping protectively around herself. "I could be..I haven't been feeling very well lately. Who knows?" I really shouldn't keep all this from him..but at least I'm not lying..I haven't been feeling well.. she told herself as she started to walk. She continued on thinking, but she squeaked when she landed on something with a slight thump. "Wha?" she asked, snapping out of her thoughts. Slowly, she realized that is it wasn't her that had landed..
It was Xander.
And she was on top of him.
"I..I'm so sorry!" she squeaked, unable to take her eyes off him. "I-I wasn't paying attention...I really should..I'll get up now," she finished dumbly, her voice cracking even more than it was before.

But. somehow, she couldn't make herself get up.
She didn't know why, but she couldn't. "Xander..." she said softly, looking down at him, unable to escape his gaze. "..I'm not hungry...Can we just..lay here instead?" she asked, slowly uncurling her tail and letting it intertwine itself with Xanders. "I..I'm cold all of a sudden.." That wasn't a lie, either--the wind had picked up at that moment, and she shivered lightly. I can't leave him..I can't even stop thinking about him..Why?

Cool. Less work for me to do.xD

"I never said I was gonna stay on top of you, Xander," Brianna said with a laugh, slowly climbing off him and settling next to him instead. Snuggling as close as she could, she kept her tail intertwined with his. "You're warm..." she added, her head right by Xanders neck. She closed her eyes, silently enjoying the company of someone who actually cared about her.
"I..I love you too, Xander..." she said softly, without recognizing what she was doing.

But the moment she did, her eyes fluttered open and she was on her feet, despite the wind. "..I...I.." Brianna couldn't force anything else out before she had to turn around and run off. Why did I just admit that?! she asked herself, shaking her head as she ran--where to, she didn't yet know.

Why? That was all Brianna could keep asking herself.

Finally, she was getting tired. She slowed down, and suddenly came to a complete stop at the opposite side of the river. "I told him..and then ran off..How stupid can I get?" Brianna asked herself, frustrated, as she came up upon the shore of the river. I wasn't prepared...When am I ever prepared?I've got to make it up to him.. Her mind wandered for a few more minutes as she allowed herself a drink.

Eventually, her mind was made up. Slowly she turned around and began to search. Every once in a while she'd stop and grab something with her tail, and then continue on searching.

About a half an hour or so later, Brianna came back to rest at the exact spot they had first met. She sat down, laid her possessions--which turned out to be different finds of flowers--down beside her. I need another nap.. she thought, yawning slightly. She gently curled up and closed her eyes. Please..Whenever Xander finds me..Let him see the flowers,too.. she thought before finally allowing herself to drift into sleep.

By the time sunrise had come the next morning, Brianna had already gotten up,bathed, and went to find food for both her and Xander.
Now she was heading back to where Xander was, with a carefully made makeshift basket full of berries. I hope he likes them.. she thought with a sigh, putting the basket in front of him and laying back down, waiting for him to wake up. Only then did she notice the flower. ...Xander...

Brianna smiled back at Xander. "It was decent, thanks. How about you, Xander?" she asked, allowing her tail to poke Xanders nose before letting it slip around his. "I brought back something for you to eat while I was on my morning walk this morning..And I noticed you saw the flowers..." she added, a light blush coming over her face. "Xander, I want to apologize for last night...I didn't mean to run off. I didn't think about what I was doing..I..I love you, Xander...Can you forgive me?" she asked, looking up at him from her perch on her hands. "I promise it won't happen again..But I can understand if you want me to leave you alone,too."

"I wouldn't mind staying with you," Brianna admitted with a quiet laugh at the smile on Xanders face. "But you did promise me we'd explore, so hurry up and eat, slow poke!" She demanded playfully,linking her tail with his as she closed her eyes, reaching one paw up and feeling the flower. "I'll wait patiently, like a good little kitty.." she said after a moment, another smile appearing on her face as she rested her head on her paws again.

"Uhm..I'm not really that hungry..But I suppose I can eat a few," Brianna said, slowly lifting herself off the ground and over to the makeshift basket. "I'm not really focused on me though, sweetheart..You eat, I'll watch. I might eat some, too..But mostly I want you to eat. Deal?" she asked with a smile, her mind racing. What did I do to deserve such a guy...?
