I'm going to be nineteen years old in December, and have never had acne. Once or twice I've had a pimple. but that's it.

However, I'm a vegetarian who doesn't eat junk food and fast food or wear makeup, so that's probably a part of it. I've been a vegetarian since I was 14, but even then, I never had any blemishes.

Ha ha. Yes, I'm vegetarian also, and that may be part of the reason why I don't breakout horribly. I do eat junk food, but not a lot of fast food unless it's a salad. Or baked potato. ^^;

I haven''t really been able to save my hair. My mom bought me Infusium 23 shampoo and conditioner and my hair is still a frizzy wreck. Is there perhaps a hair serum I could get for cheap? (Family''s on a tight budget these days) confused

I don't really have an acne problem, but if I feel like it, I use oxy pads or some thing else that you don't have to wash off after you use it. As for hair, I LOVE Tres'eme....*so not spelt right...* Especially the conditioner. I've always had really knot prone hair, but that stuff works every time...tis crazy...

I don't have acne, but I do have those ever annoying black heads popup even if I forget only one day of face washing. Biore strips do work, and well. But I still use a Aprocot scrub, like someone mentioned earlier. The little chunks of walnut really rip out any crap that may be in your poors.

As for hair--I dye mine more often than not, so it tends to get really dry and brittle. I found that most Suave shampoos work really well, and the TRESemme`conditioner for colour treated hair works absolute wonders. Soft and shiny--simply beautiful. Finesse colour treated conditioner also works really well.

i have an oily face... but JUST dove and dove only on a daily schedule, once a day, i do it at night, works fine for my skin, unless i'm stressed, then it's a scrub, and if one comes to a head, pop, adn put some cream or peroxide on it FAST. this way it's right in the skin to soak up all the oil that builds up after u pop it. and don't forget to drink alot of liquids, the less sugar the better. Try fruit-2O i love it!

Also I have oily hair nad a dry scalp, so I use bedhead, so i don't have danderife(sp?) DAMN THOSE WHITE FLAKES THAT FALL FROM MY HEAD! DAMN THEM! I use bedhead control freak, because i straighten my hair, and bedhead helps it from frizzing.

I use that too. 3nodding I like the smooth and sleek. It helps my thick and wavy hair not soo afro poofy after I let it air dry. I just started using the leave in conditioner that comes with the line, it works pretty good. I like it over the Infusium 23 stuff, which dried and made my hair kind of hard... confused

I think the best way to keep a clear face is to get LOTS of sleep surprised ~ this is especially true for people who get stressed a lot easily xO. Also, if you look well and rested your skin will naturally look prettier, and so will your eyes whee .

If you eat a lot of junk food, remember to have fruit (fruit works a lot better than juice, even just a banana a day will help) and/or a lot of water to clear up the "yeet hay" (a chinese thing which means "hot air"). Most fried or cooked dry stuff gives hot air, candy in general should be ok. Hot air makes you have more pimples (which also comes from all the oil in the food) and also makes you "dry" which makes you more prone to sore throats and bleeding noses and stuff like that. Foods with anti-oxidents are also good for your skin; strawberries, tomatoes and bellpepper have that stuff in them. Apparently anti-oxidents help to reverse the skin's aging process.

Last but not least, always use a light oil-free sunscreen domokun .

I find that an apricot scrub and lemon juice helps make it paler, and always rinsing with cold water reduces the size of your pores...

I love using that technique. it smells bad but it works great! heart

I have very oily skin, so I use rubbing alcohol on it and I swear by scrubs.

Get a hair cream, the cheaper brands are between $3-$5, you just rub it between your hands and spread it throughout while your hair is damp, and depending on what look you want either wind it into a bun to dry or just let it dry free.

I just discovered that the "Bye-Bye Blemish" stuff really works. I used their Drying Lotion the other night, went to sleep, and when I woke up, my pimples were barely visible. Well, my pimples hadn't been terribly bad before, but now they're nearly gone. It dried out my skin only a little bit, but that was easily fixed with moisturizer.

Anyway, I recommend it. The "drying lotion" at least. I haven't tried any of the other Bye-Bye Blemish stuff.

Also, Aveeno's "Clear Complexion" products are really nice. They make the skin feel good. biggrin

I do that frequently.. but sometimes the lemon juice does a bit too much and dries out the skin by my mouth... which gives me a beautiful skin-moustache.

So I pose another question in addition to what's been answered.

Does anyone know any moisturizers that don't cause acne?

Physique stuff is great... the keep it straight lotion will tame anything, but don't use too much or it will leave your hair greasy. What I use that never fails (my hair is naturally wavy and VERY prone to frizz) is Aussie mousse, the kind that is mousse + leave in conditioner. Put it in when hair is still damp, smooth through hair, perfectly smooth but not stiff or oily.

Skin... drink water. I never, ever had blemishes when I was younger (not a vegetarian, either) but started getting them later on... I'm on Benzoyl Peroxide and Retin-A now, so it's taken care of.

A I generally leave my face alone because I'm allergic to alot of effing crap out there. Besides I get a few pimples, no big! Though it's nice to be zit free I have a few freckles and a beauty mark under my eye so even if I could rid the zits my face is still adorned with various things. So I'll let puberty pass on and spend money on food and soda (luv teh junk food!) rather then zit cream. ^-^ Oh and if you're one to really care for your face I heard water is one thing you may want to take in more.
