I'm super excited! There are a lot of stores I wish would follow this example..Particularly Victorian Maiden, Excentrique, and A+Lidel (who is closed right now crying ).

i'd be excited but i can't wear brand sizes well. crying

I'm in the same boat with her. I hope Meta opens a clothing store in the US.

If any brands follow quickly, Meta may well be the next. It's an iffy game, they allegedly haven't been doing as well as they used to. Either way, I care less about the actual physical stores moving into other countries than I do about new brands opening to overseas shipping options.

Stores over here will cost more than ordering online, anyway. Like I mentioned before, customs, sales tax, and shipping all added onto the regular cost are killer. It would be nice to get to try things on before buying them, but paying extra due to customs and state sales taxes is definitely not so appealing.

It's just that I don't think I'll ever buy something online from somewhere overseas. But I do buy stuff from shops and people in the US....if I can afford it.

Is there a reason why? The brands that sell online are all reputable companies that have been around for quite a long while. x:

I'm not a big fan of AP, their designs are too cute for my taste but I love their parasols and sometimes even a skirt or something.
I think it's great that japanese lolita shops finally realize that the oversea customers are a massive source of income.
So now Meta, Baby and AP ship overseas and I hope Victorian Maiden joins the club soon.

FOR EVERYONE WHO HAS SAID THEY WANT VICTORIAN MAIDEN TO SHIP OVERSEAS.

Just to let you know, you can order through a group order on EGL [I think the current one is already being processed for shipping/etc. through the shopping service], or you can buy items from Dream Shoppe. Dream Shoppe has a good reputation for their service, enough so that they were a part of the recent Tokyopop lolita contest giveaways.

It'll be pretty sweet to be able to buy more brands without stuff like "purchase by proxy" charges tacked on there, or having to get them second-hand, etc. It'll be nice to be able to buy it right from the site. domokun
