Alek actually smiled, and wrapped an arm around her, sharing his warmth. "That would be wonderful.. to have access to that much information... I really think that's what I want to do." He said dreamily, his blue mood coming and then going again like a sky with clouds in it. He was never quite in the same mood for long. "I mean, if what you say is true, then I can persue my dream of being a researcher of the occult... you know- like ghosts and aliens and Bigfoot." He said, smiling. His sister wasn't the only one to have a slight disability. Alek was extremely Bi-Polar.

Erianthe wrapped her arms around him, clinging to the heat source she so desperately needed. It was always so cold here, even when the heat was on. Why could she never really be warm?
"I'll always be g-glad that you have such strong i-interests and know what you're g-going to do with your life." Her stutterers were minimal, as she spoke slowly due to her sleepiness. "I wish I could s-say the same."

Alek snuggled against her, sharing his body warmth with her as he had done many a time before. He kissed her forehead in a paternal way, and said, "Go to sleep now, Eri.... it's bad for you to strain yourself." He whispered caringly. "We can talk more when you've rested some."
He really did care... and he hoped that she knew it. He hoped that she found solace here... even if he still found himself wary in the light of all this good treatment. Where was the swearing, where were the alchoholics that eyed you covetously, and offered to take you home? Where did all of these things go? Surely, they were outside, waiting for him to return. This life ... it couldn't be for him. No, this was for someone who deserved it. And he didn't think he did.

Erianthe shook her head, eyes closed, refusing to sleep. "B-but, if I sleep, I d-don't think you will t-talk to anybody else like y-you talk with me." She sighed, wishing that he could find someone in the Pound that he could be friends with. The trust was the issue, though, wasn't it? "I just want you t-to always have s-someone to listen to you."

Alekxiel sighed, and stroked at her hair some more. "Eri... I could have freinds if I wanted them... But I prefer my own company most of the time. I'll make them if you want me to though...." He said, putting himself out on a limb. "I mean... Aww, I don't know. I don't know what I mean."

"T-there's nothing wrong with n-not knowing what you mean." Erianthe mumbled as she drifted slowly into all-encompassing sleep. "If you want to...make friends. If you don't, then don't. I don't w-want to make you...do anything you don't want to."

"I just like to observe people. I don't really know if I want them to know me as well as I know them." He replied, still holding her as she drifted off. "I did meet some nice people though.... I even let one of them read my book. You know how much I like that book..." He said, partially to reassure her, and partially to to reassure himself that he was normal. He didn't want to make Eri sad... no, he wanted to be his best for her... he didn't matter, no-one else did either... but his sister was so frail. Even if she had to live through him, he would give her the chance to live.
He laughed then, caught off gaurd as a funnny thought hit him. "In fact.... I think that I'll kiss someone.... would that make you happy? Even if I get pushed away, or beat up, at least I'd have tried. And don't people that love or like each other alot kiss? I've never kissed anyone.... no-one cared enough for that. But if I kiss someone, they'd be obligated to like me, wouldn't they?" He queried, long-winded as he got into the swing of talking.

With her last bit of consciousness, Erianthe leaned up and lay a kiss upon her brother. Smiling sweetly, she looked into his eyes teasingly, her drowsiness gone for a moment. "I love you a lot, Alek~" She whispered, before sleepiness overcame her again, and she returned to her previous position. In her mind, her affection for him was meant to claim him and push him away at the same time. She wanted to keep him, because he was the only one who she felt could protect her. But, Erianthe wanted him to be with other people than just herself. "I d-don't see how a-anybody could deny you affection...or l-love." She mumbled softly, just barely staying awake. She wanted her brother to be confident that he could find anybody he wanted to, be them friend or love, before she fell asleep.

"Love... Is not for me. Who would love me besides you? I mean..." He trailed off and shook his head. He didn't want to finish that sentence... no. It would give away too much, and he was... actually ashamed that she would find out something so unsavory about him. He wanted her to see him as himself, not pity him or feel awful because of what taking care of her had cost him.

Erianthe could not stay awake long enough to reply to what Alek had said, and was soon snoozing soundly on her brother's shoulder.
Evzen, who had finished cooking the hot chocolate and passing it out to the others in his bunch, even the annoying BlueBlue, although he had not wanted to, found himself walking into the living room on the main floor of the Pound, and found the cute little kitten from his bunch sleeping with another who looked just like her. Sighing, he shuffled over and took the mug she had been drinking from, before disappearing. Returning moments later, mugless, he approached the pair.
"Would you like me to bring her to her room?" He offered as kindly as he could, motioning at the sleeping cat. "I bet she'd be more comfortable."

Alek looked up at him bubiously, but said nothing, simply nodding. His sister's words still rung in his head, and he was still a little numb from the shock.
He decided agaist his normal silence all of a sudden, opening his mouth to speak to the elder, and what came out was a nervous jumble. "Yeshurwhynot."
He blushed, and mentally kicked himself, cringing a little at the way that had just come out of his mouth. Stupid!Stupid! He chided himself, before trying once more to speak properly. This time, he managed, bringing his wall along with him. "It wouldn't hurt..."He replied, trying to act tougher... in case this one had ulterior motives. He'd just been distracted by his looks before.

Evzen couldn't help but smile. This one was almost as cute as his sister. The fox slid a hand underneath Eritanthe's shoulders and his other underneath her knees before he lifted her into his arms, luckily not waking her. Wordlessly, he turned to leave the room and took a few steps before looking back over his shoulder. With a sigh, he turned back towards the kitten. "I was going to bring her back to my room, since her roommate has people over." The little blue kitten was a good roommate for Erianthe, but he doubted that Eri would get any sleep in there today. "My half-brother is out, so I though it would be the best place." He nodded, as if convincing himself of what he had said. Eyes narrowing, he debated something in his head, before speaking once more.
"Would you...like to come?"

Alekxiel paused for a moment from mentally kicking himself, and looked over at the elder in confusion for just a moment, before registering what he had said.
He took a moment to think, clearly debating as to whether it was a good idea to simply follow a stranger to his bedroom.... after all... he knew what happened in stranger's bedrooms. He decided to go after but a moment. their hieght differences might afford him an upperhand if it came to having to get away.
He nodded plainly, and caught op with evzen, though it was clear that he was both wary of him, and afraid to make a fool of himself again.

A hint of a smile tugged at the corners of Evzen's mouth, but his usual demeanor prevented him from smiling fully. Holding the kitten in his arms tightly, he moved out of the room through a hallway, expecting the other to follow him.
He paused only when he had to fidget with the doorknob that led from the Pound to the wing that his owner shared with another. "We live in the Donair wing, since our owner doesn't want to split us up. I'm guessing you have room in the Pound?" He asked, attempting to make conversation, while holding the door open with his foot for the cat.

He shook his head, and replied, "No. We simply sleep wherever, and we wander around. We haven't been established in a room yet... or at least, I haven't. You say that Eri has a room, but I don't have one yet." He nodded, as though in confirmation. He was akward, not sure what to say after that.
He decide to change the subject, hoping to take the attention away from himself. He was nothing special... so why focus on him?
"Do you read?", he queried, trying not to look too interested.
