In the meantime, Rydia was receiving her own very similar briefing.
"You're supposed to find a boy named Kiante," her superior for this mission whined in that irritating snarl. "Get him to come with us, whether he wants to or not."
Then he spat condescendingly, "And listen, Miss Larson..."
He leaned in closer to her with a menacing glare. "This is your first really important mission. In fact, this is so important, that if the FoL reaches this boy first, or anything else should happen to him, your life afterward will be miserable...if the Commander decides to leave you alive at all."
Rydia was incredibly nervous, but did her best to take on the uncaring attitude of everyone else in the SoD, rolling her eyes for added effect.
"Yeah, yeah, I know, haven't we been talking about this for the past...I don't know how long?" she said impertinently.
Her superior stared at her for a little while longer, and then stood up. "All right, get ready to go then. Because of this accursed FoL ship on our backs, we won't be able to just land, so you'll have to take one of the escape pods. And remember, don't come back until you've got him. Otherwise you'd better not come back at all."
Rydia nodded and left quickly to find an escape pod, adjusting her bow and quiver and trying to calm her chest, which seemed to be absolutely full of air. Soon she was in the air, at the controls of the mini-ship.
Now, where would this Kiante be?

Meanwhile...
Kiante opened the doors to the Drakeling Stables (stables for the newly ready dragons) and started looking around. All the dragons looked at him expectantly, each hoping they would be the next chosen to have a rider. They were of all different colors, and all different shades. Some had the sharp plated natural armors while others had scales. All of these had wings however, because of course, the Dragoons had to be able to fly.
After looking over all the dragons, Kiante leaned against the far wall and took a moment to think. He decided. He went over to the dragons pen, and opened the gate, bowing before his new partner, which was the traditional way to ask a dragon to be your partner. He raised his head a bit, to see if the dragon would return the signal, indicating that it would be his partner. It hadn't yet. He bowed his head lower. "Please, great beast, I beseech you to accept me as your rider, I must go to help my people."
The dragon looked at him for a moment, then mentally said to him, "You are peculiar, not like the other Drakonians. Explain to me."
"Dragon...I am not from here. I don't know where it is I come from. But I know that, until a month ago, I wasn't a Drakonian. I am...was the prince's companion. We went to explore a cave, and it turns out, that's where the 'curse' originated. I was given the same 'curse' and then soon after transformed. I cannot yet control it. But I've completed my Rite and have my sword. Please, there are two mysterious flying ships outside, and I'm going to investigate. Please, be my partner."
The dragon touched her nose to his head, and said (again mentally), "I will help you for now, but we are not yet partners. I must test you."
Kiante stood up, "Thank you dragon!" He started putting her saddle on, and armor. He mounted her then asked, "What is your name?"
"My name is Merah. And you, being the prince's companion, must be Kiante. Remember, this is still your test. You should strive to impress." The dragon answered.
"All right, let's go." Kiante said, and signaled her (Drakonians give their dragons commands with their legs, of course dragons don't necesarily obey) to leave the stables. They burst out the door.
In the light, if anyone had been around, they would've seen a very beautiful dragon. She had sharp plate scales under her jet black armor. Her color was a rich Crimoson primarily, but she was accented by a silver blending into her wings and a black that matched her armor going down her spine. She WAS a she. Her wings were large and leathery, with spiky looking veins running down the underside. Her eyes were a fiery orange. She was lean and stood on two legs rather than four.
They lifted off and started towards one of the ships, both of them roaring loudly.

((I edited the last three paragraphs of my last post...because I was silly and overlooked some info. It won't happen again though I promise lol))
Rydia set her ship to hover for a second when she saw something approaching the larger ships. Luckily the FoL ship hadn't seen her or she would've been a sitting duck for this silly mistake.
It was a dragon, and on its back was a humanoid. He looked a bit young to be confronting these forces in battle behind her.
Rydia cautiously went a bit closer...and yes, it seemed this could actually be her target.
She laughed, not a menacing, evil laugh, but a girlish, happy giggle that her mission might be accomplished so easily. She'd been a bit nervous about the whole thing.
How silly these people were, to send out the one person that the SoD was here for...
Rydia quickly pushed this thought out of her head as she approached the dragon. Please be Kiante, please be Kiante...

((Oh that's fine, I have nothing against it, as long as its not too far back and you inform everyone else. See, in this case, I didn't need to change my post, nor did anyone else, so its fine.))
Kiante looked around through the goggles he wore to protect his eyes from the wind. He noticed a smaller ship that had come out of the one they were heading towards.
"Merah, they may be expecting us." He said verbally, although most likely, Merah only heard the thoughts accompanied by it.
"Yes, I noticed the other ship too. I think its heading towards us. Should we attack it, Dragon Boy?"
"A pre-empt might be to our advantage. Yes, we'll attack."
"All right, young one. You better be prepared for the aerial manuevers!" She said, as she twirled and dove towards the other ship. Kiante held on tight, just as he had learned in his training.
They flew towards the small ship, extremely quickly, hoping to catch it off guard. They started circling it, fast enough to be seen as little more than a blur. Merah started breathing fire at it, strong fireballs that would damage the hull. She then landed on top and dug her claws into the hull. Kiante was about to rip through it with his sword, when he noticed the pilot.
"It's a girl!" He shouted, knowing full-well that she could probably see both of them.
"A girl? A female?! I didn't think that humans used their females for war!"
"I didn't think so either! No where I've been have I seen that! We can't fight her, we'll leave her alone. Just head back towards the larger ship. If she DOES catch up and start attacking, we'll have to fight back. Otherwise, leave her."
"Okay. Let's go." Merah said, as they jumped off of the ship, Merah spread her wings again, and sped back towards the larger ship.

"Oh don't worry," Mickey said, "this is an FoL ship! We're very careful to monitor everything. Besides, when the maid gets in there, she'll take him to the school room. I'm sure he's gone before, hasn't he? Well, he should be anyway. Now, is everyone ready to go? We need to hurry!"

"And the rest of you, are you all ready?" Mickey asked.
Meanwhile...
Kiante flew into the hold of the ship, just as two others were flying out. He dismounted, and both he and Merah started towards the door at the edge of the room.
When they went through, they found themselves in a long hallway, with many doors on either side. They decided to keep walking, and eventually came to a...different door at the end. They pushed a button to open it and stepped inside. Suddenly, the room started moving upwards.
"This is like...Kraall technology. But maybe...more advanced." Kiante observed, Merah nodded.
The room slowed to a stop, and the door opened. They stepped out to a room full of people sitting at small desks, a large window at the front, and in the center, connected by a small ramp to where they were standing, was a small platform with a young man on it. He turned around, "Welcome Kiante." He said.
"Prince Jeki!"

Rydia had frozen when she saw the dragon preparing to attack. "Wait, wait, I'm not going to attack you!!" she yelled desperately, knowing they couldn't hear her.
Then the claws landed on the roof, and she shrieked, looking up at the dragon and rider with wide, frightened eyes. The dragon was huge...very, very huge.
A big sigh of relief escaped her when the thing flew away...but it was quickly replaced with embarrassment. If anyone else had seen that betrayal of emotions, she would've had to clean the ship toilets for a month.
Rydia then cursed mildly...very mildly, and sped after the dragon. Maybe they would think she'd chased him onto their ship...yes, they didn't have to know she'd done absolutely nothing.
She landed back on the ship and ran down the hall, trying to find where the two would have gone. It wouldn't do for her story to be too far behind them.
It was pretty noisy on the ship, filled with bustle. Rydia frowned. Where to look? The elevator at the end of the hall...would that attract a curious boy?
She pushed the button to head up to the upper floor but pressed another button to prevent the doors from opening. She didn't want to barge in looking for the boy and have everyone think she'd lost him. She could only hope no one needed to use the elevator anytime soon...

Jeki smirked, "Hello Kiante. Looks like you've been doing pretty well without me. Is the kingdom okay?"
"Yes, of course Jeki." He chuckled. "Oh, this is Merah." He said, extending his hand towards the dragon and bowing, "She's...thinking about being my partner."
Merah growled cheerfully, then bowed to the prince.
"So, Kiante, tell me how you survived the Heartless?"
"H-heartless? Wha..."
"The black creatures that attacked us. I escaped, but you and your thick head decided to stay. The only way you could've survived is--"
"This." Kiante put Dra'ak back in it's scabbard, then summoned his Keyblade. "Its called...a Keyblade. This is the Destiny Key."
"I know. I've learned so much since I've been gone. There are countless other worlds out there. And many of them are involved in a war, between Darkness and Light. The leaders of the SoD, that is, the Soldiers of Darkness, made me a Dark Knight, a high rank. I'm the commander of this ship, the Apocalypse. And, I have this," Jeki summoned his own Keyblade. It was the same shape as Kiante's Destiny Key, but instead of having a black handguard, red jewel, and white gold blade, Jeki's had a white gold handguard, a blue jewel, and a black blade. "Its called the Inverted Destiny Key, the opposite of yours. Strange that things would end up this way, isn't it Kiante?"
"What do you mean? What way?"
"Us, on opposite sides of the war, with opposite keyblades."
"O-opposite sides? I'm not on any side in this war!"
"But you will be. Unless of course, I take care of you now. You see, the top guy in the FoL, is your real father Kiante. His name is Sora, and he's also a Keyblade Wielder. The other ship belongs to them, they're here to find you."
"My father...my father's in that other ship? I have to get over there!" Kiante turned to go back the way he came, but was blocked by two guards. "You're not going to let me out are you?" Kiante asked.
"I can't do that friend. Take him and his dragon to the holding cell."
"Jeki, you traitor!" Kiante yelled, as he struggled against the guards that took him.
Jeki sighed, "He'll understand later. For now, we'll take care of him."

Laila had sneaked onto the SoD ship and was listening to the two boys talk. Their conversation intrigued her as she realized they were once friends. And it seemed as if the one name Jeki betrayed him. She figured it would be best to make herself known at that particular time.
Laila stepped out of the shadows as the guards roughly took Kiante away. She turned her head, watched him struggle and shrugged her shoulders. She looked towards Jeki, "Hi, I'm Laila, and I don't think your security is as good as you think." she said as she pointed a thumb to the disapperaing guards and Kiante.

Jeki turned his head towards Laila and said, "Hello. You're a Twilighter I would suppose? And what is your business here?" He asked, obviously not worried at all that someone had snuck onto his ship.
Meanwhile...
The guards tried to open the elevator doors, to take Kiante back down. When they opened, they found a surprising guest.
Kiante looked at her with sad eyes, he clearly recognized her.
Merah followed Kiante into the elevator. The guards didn't force her, but she knew she wouldn't be able to make an escape right now. She noticed the girl as well, then said into her mind, "You're the one Kiante saved. You really were an enemy all along. You owe him your life! You should keep that in mind, girl!" and with that, Merah had spoken her peace.
The guards seemed to ignore the girl completely. Kiante noticed that something about them...something about them just wasn't right. He began to wonder if they were even human.

Saya had snuck into the SOD ship, out of boredom. I wonder if there's anything interesting here. Saya wandered in. There wasn't as much security on the ship as she had thought. She entered a room and saw a boy and Laila talking.

"Oh...uh, hi," Rydia stammered, wondering at the dragon's voice in her mind. The only way she knew it was the dragon was that it stared directly at her while the voice spoke. The words made her feel a flash of guilt, but she decided to ignore both the guilt and the dragon.
Luckily, no one had really noticed her eavesdropping...but that didn't mean she wouldn't catch it later anyway. After all, she was the one who was supposed to get this kid here.
With a huge effort Rydia took on a calm, cool expression she'd seen many of the higher ranks use--an expression she'd perfected over the years.
"I'll take him down, guys," she said to the guards, hoping to redeem some of her honor. Also, what Commander Jeki had said had intrigued her. She wasn't supposed to know so much, as she wasn't a particularly high rank, but it wouldn't hurt to eke out a little info.
And Jeki did seem a little different from the other commanders. He'd probably let her poor capturing skills slide.
The guards wordlessly handed over Kiante and the dragon...she was at least high enough a rank for that. Then she led the way down to the holding cell, trying to think of what to say.
"So...Jeki used to live here, huh?" Rydia finally said, attempting nonchalance.

Laila started staring at his pointed ears. She wasn't doing it purposely, but she just thought they were so pretty for a boy to have. She shook her head slightly when she realized he said something. She had to act like she was paying attention, it would be rude if he knew she wasn't.
She finally figured out something to say, "So, that guy the guards took, is he important or something?" She knew what she said most likely had nothing to do with whatever he said. She continued talking before he got the chance to answer, "I'm a Twilighter and when I saw this ship, I just had to find out what was in it. It's beautiful. I wouldn't mind..." a girl interrupted her rambling and she walked to the right side of Jeki. The girl didn't look like she was a guard or anything. Laila decided to be quiet and watch how Jeki would address her. She was happy that the girl came in too, so she could stop that embarrassing and aimless rambling of hers.
