She stepped softly upon the earth as she followed him and his every word. A priestess was a banthi that would always be in the eyes of the public, and would always try and help the rest of the group when she felt she needed to do so. What a great honor it was to be gifted with such abilities as these. She knew now that she would have to be strong and would have to try her best to learn as quickly as possible, because he was right, a calibrations for the deities was indeed coming up. -I shall do my best to honor the gift I was given, and to be strong for not only myself but the clan as a whole- She smiled to herself at the thought. She would do it, and she would be strong.

Turning her attention back to her alpha she watched as he sat upon the cool earth, his tail curling around his body as he motioned for her to follow his actions. Looking over the area for a few seconds the female finally laid herself down upon the ground as well. As she watched her alpha she curled her limbs under her fur to keep warm. Her minds was still on what he had said not too long ago, about not being born an Alpha.

As she continued her thinking she frowned slightly then looked up at the green basilisk. “Basilisk I believe no banthi is truly born a leader.. It is those that show they wish to be a leader that become leaders, and are the best leaders. A banthi such as yourself.” She watched him for a few more seconds before looking up. The wind was starting to shift, and with it the voices.

“I have one last question before we begin. Why me? How did I get this gift when the rest of my family is somewhat normal in ability?”

With his tail curled around him, this had to be one of Raajmuat's trademark positions. The reason being is that sitting up straight and having his tail curled around him helped to calm his inner demons. He had quite a number of them, but this position reminded him of his mother. The very mother who nurtured him when everyone else shunned him. Plus, with this calm it helped him to connect with those not of the mundane world...their deities.

His ears flicked slightly as he turned his head in Reika's direction. Her words brought comfort to him. If she viewed him as such, then he was doing his job right. One of his biggest fears was not doing a good enough job. 'Your words comfort me. To be rather honest, my biggest fear is disappointing the clan.' He wouldn't dwell on the thought any longer and brushed it from his mind. The basilisk shouldn't dwell on his fears or else they'd consume him. Plus, he had enough demons already that he did not need one more.

But enough of that, there was something more important on hand. At Reika's question, he couldn't help but give her his serpentine smile, 'Ah, my dear, you should know that question is not something that I can answer. That is a question you should ask the deities.' He paused briefly, 'Not everything has an easy answer or only one answer. There must be something within you that only you possess and the rest of your family does not. What that quality might be, I cannot say.' There were many reasons why a banthi would be sought out by the deities, but it took time to figure out that reason. He added, 'My mother never got the chance to figure out why she was chosen by the deities. It is my assumptions that she was singled out because she was not blind. Her heart encompassed everything regardless of what the banthi may have done or be capable of doing.'
