Digital Malevolence Mopsicle My last name is of germanic origin...dutch/Norman... so lame, norman's became christians. death to Christians stare My last name means Son of the hound of the Sea. Well, Son Hound Sea in exact but its supposed to be Son of the Hound of the Sea. I come from vikings. Mine came from vikings too, but I cannot find what it means

It would be uncalled for and completely unacceptable. I don't have a problem with people disliking my religion, and I don't have a problem with people giving valid reasons for disliking my religion. But, blatant comments like this are unacceptable whether he was joking or not.

Well, I say those things because I do actually mean them, to be honest. No, I'm not sending death threats, and of course I'm being a little over the edge about them. But I've realized and been taught over the past few years about hypocrisy in religion, and especially Christianity since I go to a predominately Christian boarding school. To be completely honest, I strongly hate monotheism for its arrogance. HOWEVER, I do understand your position as the guild leader to demand that members keep their negative comments to themselves, so I apologize for any rules I have broken. I will keep my bible hating comments out of this forum. I repeat, I apologize for abusing the rules and offending your Religion, Hollow.
But to answer your question...
Yes, I do believe that it makes them less "cool" because it just shows how easily they were decieved. What makes them [norsemen, etc] so amazing (atleast in my eyes) is that they avoided the corruption of both the decendants of Abraham, aswell as Englishmen who attempted to convert lots of people. I don't respect at all what the Catholics, Christians, and Jews tried to do. I feel much more strongly about this subject since I'm being forced to take a Philosophy and Religion course this year.
Once again, I'm sorry if I had offended you, wasn't directed towards any of the guild members, or any actually. Was just a joking type of comment. I didn't think it would elevate to this level.

I read more in depth of what you had to say, Hollow, and I do understand where you are coming from. No, I do not find it 'cool' to put down a religion. I don't do things becuase I think they are 'cool'. I do the things I do because I believe they are the right thing to do, just how you have Christian beliefs, etc. So I do apologize, and I really do hope you accept it, for making such a harsh comment towards Christians. It won't happen again, I promise you.
Also, I respect the way you are handling things, instead of just kicking me out on the spot. Shows a sign of a good leader. If it were other people who I've argued about this topic, they would have tried to explain why Christianity is the truth, and how wrong I am for my beliefs. So thank you for not being immature and juvenile about it. I think I actually have more respect for you now than I had in the past.

You're right, it's more of me playing the viking if anything else. Though my disgust for religion in the past few months has grown intensely...so I suppose it's more of a mixture if anything. Also, thanks for standing up for me.

In this forum, we are free to disagree about issues such as music and religion. But I hold to the truth that we should respect one another and our RIGHT to believe differently, that doesn't mean that there can't be one truth instead of many. If That makes me narrow minded, then that is your opinion. But my philosophy or belief is to let intelligent and free people decide for themselves. All I ask is that we respect one another, there is no name calling, and we don't take a group of people and wish harm of them just because we don't share their belief systems. I do not wish you harm because you hate my religion, and I would never say so.
