Finally Kunny was finding himself calm. Or, calmer, anyway. He didn't feel the need to uhm anymore, although Pry still seemed a bit anxious. Or he was just being Pry. Both worked.
"I've been working the last two weeks straight. I received two jobs in a row from the same client." A client whom he'd make sure to get accurate details from, next time. I mean, really. Those traps would have killed a less experienced assassin! Kunny would have words, next time. But at least the client payed really well. He'd gotten enough to afford the mansion's bills for four months from those jobs, provided his sister didn't do something stupid and burn the mansion down or something. Good grief.
"To be honest, I've been taking more jobs to escape the confusion of this house, and the sheer amount of people." He didn't really talk to anyone in the house except his sister and Klaus, but they were still loud. But he didn't want to move out because no one else except Ryuu knew how to cook, or made any money. Besides, his sister WOULD burn down the house, unsupervised. "Though taking on a lot of jobs does get kind of lonely in its own right." He smiled slightly, blushing a bit.

"Two weeks straight? Wow, that must have been rough," Pryderi murmured, lifting his eyes from the floor again. The young man's job was a fairly standard nine to five one, and he only ever came in one day a month. To be going to work every day all day for two weeks must be very tiresome. Not to mention Kunny was an assassin. Pryderi had always assumed that a lot of time and stress went into that job.
He gave a small laugh when Kunny said he was leaving the house to get away from the people, knowing very well how that felt. Living with Chibi had been enough to make anyone want to leave and get a breath of fresh air. But things were different now. "I have the opposite problem. I've been trying to go out more in the hopes of talking to people. Mae's got his own job now, so..., " he gave a small shrug, though it was clear that being alone in their little house was starting to get to the deer boy.
"Why don't you sit though?" Pryderi decided that a subject change was in order, not liking to dwell on unpleasant thoughts. He had done enough of that recently. "I hardly think you need to be standing in the doorway of your own house, especially after working for two weeks straight." He had instinctively reached to touch the spot on the couch beside him, however he changed the gesture midway through, blushing. Kunny might be seeing other people now. He couldn't just assume they could go back to the way things were three years ago.

Kunny shrugged. "You get used to it after a while. To be honest, in the last six months I've probably spent a whole... Oh, ten days in the house." It wasn't an underestimation, either. He'd been taking one job after another as of late. It wasn't as though he had anything else to do, and as long as he stopped by the house every couple weeks or so, everyone stayed in line. Besides, Channa was the only person with his cell phone number, so she could contact him if there were any problems.
Thinking of his sister, he turned to her and gave her a pointed look. She in turn gave him a curiously oblivious one. Ugh. The assassin gave a little cough and pushed her out the door and into the hallway, making sure to lock the door behind him. She was too much of an interruption, and they were both nervous enough WITHOUT her here.
"That was cold," he heard her say through the door.
"Oh, go blow something up downstairs. You're good at that."
"...Jerk."
But her footsteps retreated into the distance, and Kunny let out a sigh, turning back to the deer boy. "Where were we? Oh..." He smiled and moved over to the couch, sitting next to Pry. He, too, would have been a little anxious had it not been obvious that Pryderi was, well, not seeing anyone else. "You should definitely get out more." Here was considered out, after all.

"Ten days?" Wow. Even to Pryderi that sounded like overworking. "You can't possibly need to work that much to support this house, do you?" The deer boy only had his small flat in a relatively remote location to support on his wages. He couldn't imagine how much it cost to keep this mansion up and running. How many people lived here anyways? Aylee made it sound like there was at least twenty. That must be very hard to support.
The young man sat silently through the interaction between Aylee and Kunny, lifting a hand to his mouth to hide his smile. Personally, he was quite glad that Kunny had got his sister out of the room. It wasn't that he didn't like her, but she was definitely not going to help them by hovering around. She would only make him more nervous.
Pryderi smiled shyly when Kunny came and sat beside him, ears perking up slightly. This had to be a good sign, right? "I wouldn't mind coming here more often.... to see you, you know. But only if you don't mind. If you've got someone else to spend time with that's okay too." Pryderi added the last bit rather hastily, catching himself before he started an embarrassed ramble.

"You'd be surprised," Kunny said nearly under his breath. There were a lot of people in the house, at least as many as Pry had thought. And many many MANY more rooms. And people were always turning lights on and forgetting about them (Aylee). Just the electric bill alone would be hard or near impossible to pay for with any other profession.
"I'm not." Kunny said with a smile, "And I don't mind. Though, I'll probably have to give you my cell phone number so you'll know when I'm around." Ah, if only the house bills didn't need to be paid. Someday Kunny would get to take a vacation. That would be a very good time indeed. "You said it was just you and Maelon now, right? Did you move, or your housemates move out?"

"You're not?" Pryderi sounded a little breathless in his excitement, thoroughly pleased even though he was fidgeting. A part of him did a little 'I told you so' dance, reminding him that Kunny was an extremely busy young man any probably didn't have time to go out with other people. The other part that had told him not to get his hopes up about seeing Kunny again simply sulked in a corner. All in all, the deer boy's mood increased by quite a bit.
"I'd like that, having your cell phone number. I don't have one, but you can call my house any time. Mae won't care." The thought of having Kunny's phone number made Pryderi grin excitedly, very pleased. Even though Kunny might not be around very often, staying in contact would be a Very Good Thing. "Yeah, just us now. I moved out, actually. Trying to get a new job and stuff... kind of hectic for a while, but it's settled down nicely."

Kunny couldn't help but chuckle a little when Pryderi started fidgeting. It was cute, needless to say. But it was indeed indicative that Pry's mood had increased, and that in turn made Kunny happy. What goes around comes around sort of thing.
"I could buy you one if you want. And, I'll make sure to give it to you before you leave, but I don't have paper on me at the moment." Or a pen. That was important, too. He'd given Ryuu his things to carry to his room for him, and anything he might have had would have been in that bag.
Of course, Pry moving out was interesting enough, "Why did you move out?" And what kind of job did you get, and where are you living now, and and... There were too many questions. It would probably be best to take it slow for now, and not overwhelm the poor deer with questions, lest Pry start uhming again. Or Kunny. That would be bad, too.

Pryderi's ears wiggled at the chuckle, and he grinned. Things seemed to be going a lot smoother now. It seemed like both of them had lightened up a little bit, or at least gotten used to talking to each other again. Three years was quite a long time, however the deer boy didn't actually feel that different. Things were still very much the same between the two of them. Hopefully that was a good thing.
"Oh no, I couldn't ask you to buy me one. You already have enough on your plate, what with this house and everything." The young man waved his hands in a dismissive gesture, face going red again at the thought of Kunny buying him something. That would be asking him for too much. "Just your phone number. That would be enough for me."
Pryderi tilted his head at Kunny's question, pausing for a moment to think. "Well.... It was hard for me to actually focus on Mae when there were so many people around, and I felt kind of bad for not spending a lot of time with him, what with Sachiya being so young. And Chibi had Havok, so I thought I would just move out and try and live by myself."

Well, Kunny would buy him a cell phone anyway, and have Chaco take it over to their house at some point. It really wasn't that expensive to buy another phone and just add it on to the line he already had. And... somehow, he doubted that Pry was one to be talking on the phone all the time. He'd make sure to do that before his next job, whenever that came.
"Well, since you said things have been settling down, I take it they're going well?" Kunny had actually bought his sister the mansion because she lacked the room in her old, tiny house. And she was always adding family members, and with Chaco around, well... A mansion was NEEDED. "You're lucky your family wasn't very large, at least. I've got a crazy amount of nephews thanks to my sister." And a couple of charges of his own, but he so rarely saw Klaus and Wes that it oft seemed like they were Aylee's cares, not his own.

Pryderi would be pleasantly surprised – not to mention incredibly flustered – when that phone arrived. He really didn't expect anything from Kunny, especially since the young man already had so much on his plate. The deer boy only really had to worry about himself and Maelon, and the latter of the two didn't really need that much worry. All he did was stay at home and play video games or go out to work at that reptile place. He really was a fairly boring teenager despite his rather foul personality.
"A lot better than before. Life's been pretty normal recently," the deer boy agreed with a small nod. He gave a small chuckle when Kunny said that he was lucky his family wasn't so large, something he was very glad about. Lonely or not, he couldn't imagine living with as many people as Kunny did. "I can see why you would want to get out here all the time. So many people. If you ever wanted to get away you could come and chill at my place for a bit. Mae wouldn't mind."

Heh. Kunny DID just get paid enough to cover the bills for four months, that meant there was at least a LITTLE extra spending room in there, especially if he was hired for another job, soon. Unless Aylee decided to delve into the bank account again (Kunny still had no idea what his sister DID with some of the money she took. It just... seemed to vanish).
"I'm glad it's better. And I'll consider it," he said, putting an arm around the deer and pulling him closer. "I'll have to get your new address, though. You can give it to me when I give you my cell number."
"You said Mae got a new job, right? What's he doing?"

Pryderi's face turned a rather pleasant shade of pink when Kunny said that he would consider coming over to his house. The last time he had come over... well, that had been a rather embarrassing yet definitely satisfying encounter. But that had been at Chibi's house, where the deer boy had been afraid his friend would burst in on them at any moment with a camera. A frightening thought, rest assured.
His face turned a darker shade of red when Kunny pulled him closer, but he smiled just the same. It was definitely nice to be able to sit like this with Kunny again. He had rather missed the company. The deer boy turned his head to the side to avoid catching Kunny in the face with his antlers, and settled his head on the other young man's shoulder. "I'll be sure to give it to you then. Mae's job? Oh, he works downtown at a reptile and bug place." Pryderi gave a small shiver at the idea. "Creepy if you ask me, but he seems to enjoy it. How is Chaco doing these days?"

Another smile came to Kunny's lips as Pry put his head on the assassin's shoulder. Yes, their last... encounter had been weighing on his mind as well (that had been more than a little embarrassing, to be sure), but well, he wasn't going to make Pryderi come all this way every time they wanted to meet!
"Chaco's fine. He's spending the majority of his time cleaning, I think. I don't really know too well, though." He HAD been gone for the last two weeks, after all. But that was a minor detail. As far as Kunny knew (and he was correct), all Chaco really did was clean. And occasionally go out for walks. But mostly clean. "I just got home so I haven't talked to him yet, obviously, but... Well, when I left he was fine. Everyone in the house was, I think."

Pryderi listened quietly as Kunny talked, chuckling a little when he said that Chaco spent most of his time cleaning. "I thought Mae said you had a butler for that now. Is the house really that big that all Chaco can do is clean it all day?" Now that must be a horrible job. The deer boy, being the neat freak that he was, would have kitten living in a house as big as this. He would never be able to get it as clean as he wanted, especially with all the people coming and going. What a nightmare.
"Does Chaco like reptiles and stuff? I'm sure Mae could help him get a job where he works. Been good for Mae, getting out of the house and stuff. Even if it is just to work with a bunch of creepy crawlies." Again, he shivered. They were truly frightening beasts. "You've got a lot of people to check up on, huh?"

Pryderi's question about how long it would take caused Kunny to laugh. "S-sorry. I just... Pry, there's over a hundred rooms in this house. Probably closer to a hundred twenty five, and that's not counting the basement or attic." Of course, most of the rooms were empty or filled with junk, but Chaco tried to keep those clean as well. "Despite having a butler, my sister seems to... enjoy collecting people. In addition to Sasakura-san, one of her charges' bandmates are in the process of moving into the mansion. It's part of the reason I decided it was best to get out of the house for two weeks. More people means more work."
"And I'm not sure. I've never seen him around them, so... You'd have to ask him." Of course, Kunny had no idea where in the mansion Chaco was at the moment, so it probably wasn't a good time to ask. "Well, my sister brings a lot of people into the house. She's... Strange like that. Somehow I even ended up with two charges of my own."
