She blushed beneath her dark fur, it had been sometime since she complimented anyone in such a manner, and he took it well seeing him puff up caused the blush to deepen and her face became hot.
"An undesirable class, some prides work on a class system, my pride worships the great lion and our class system has religious significants, like warriors, kings, priests, shamans, they all have different classes." she left out the fact that she was a slave.
"You obviously do not have that type of system."

Riko looked at her with a raised eyebrow as she explained how her pride worked on a class system, suddenly deciding that explained a bit about the need of an escort. He briefly wondered which class she fit into, but didn't ask. Instead, he shook his head at the comment about his own pride- it was something he was proud enough of, he was happy to talk about it.
"No, in our pride everyone is equal," he explained with a nod, "We have a royal family, though. And of course, some of us are better than others." He puffed up again, clearly implying he was one of the better ones.

"I'm sure you are very important," Nerit spoke with sincerity, "We have royalty, but if a litter is born under the wrong phase of the moon they wont necessarily be high classed in our system," she tried to make it make sense without adding in her own two scents about religion and faith.
"Would you mind walking me back to where we are currently sleeping? I'm always worried she will wake and I wont be there when she does." Her mind was on sleep and the journey they would start on, "I would like to meet you again though, before we move on too far away?" She could not ask him to travel with them, she did not think it her place.

"Your system.." Riko paused, never that tactful about the feelings of others or anything, and he had to hold back a laugh of confusion, "Is based on the moon?" That sounded so weird, basing how important you were in your pride on the moon phase you were born under. But then again.. the great kings were up there in the stars, maybe he wasn't so far fetched. He lost the confused look as he glanced up at the sky and then towards the moon.
Maybe.
"I suppose I could walk with you," he agreed, wondering which way they would have to go. He grinned inwardly at the idea of seeing her again, he might not be so keen on romance but it was nice for his ego. It wasn't like they were serious (or messed up) like Bubu and Intombi. "That sounds good," he agreed to the second request as well, and joked, "Maybe my sister will have wandered nearby by then.."

She knew wars were waged over religion, so she was hasty to add in any details about why the moon counted for anything other than something to well..count by! She smirked a mischievous smirk at his confusion, a knowing one that said 'maybe next time I'll tell ya" but she said nothing out to that and her expression could quite possibly be lost in the dark.
"If she is as kind and good looking as you are your mother must have had quite the handful," she teased and turned around towards the opposite direction she was heading, more towards the direction Riko was looking for his sister in and took a step forward to signify she was ready to go when he was.

Riko hopped over to Nerit's side to walk with her back along her way. He didn't need an explanation about the moon, he could line up the logic of it, even if only in some small way, to his own pride's religion. But perhaps it could be interesting, as long as he wasn't forced to believe it or quizzed on it later.
He chuckled at Nerit's comment about his family, "We have three other brothers as well, but I really think Kiwi and I stand out best." If not for being so much better looking and generally awesome, then because they were the ones who caused the most trouble.

Nerit nodded and walked along, really not all that far from Shira's side at all, she was determined that after she left Riko to snag something light for breakfast to leave for Shira when she woke, a way of showing she was doing something productive in case Shira had woken throughout the night. Nerit could not help but take side long glances at her new acquaintance, he was interesting, and could be a lot more charming if he tried.
"I'll be sure to look out for her, especially if she 'stands out' like you say," and after that statement she fell into silence, where would they meet? Nerit was unsure of many things, how far exactly they would travel in the next days hike. She would leave the younger lion to think of a way to find them, possibly she could trail back if needed to see him, she did not want to promise to meet without keeping that promise, it was not often she was seen as just another lioness, she was ruled by her birth rights and others did not treat her poorly, but sometimes a harsh word could be said.

Riko was perfect, he didn't have to try to be charming, he just was his usual awesome self. Unless he went out of his way to be angry or mean, and it had been known to happen on occasion.
"I suppose I'll come back around this way in a couple days," he said off-handedly, thinking too of how hard it might be to find her if she were escorting or being escorted by another in a currently-traveling pride, "And maybe we'll cross paths again."

"It'll be fate then, if we do meet," she was going to make sure of it, if the great lion wanted her to meet someone new and to meet them again her faith told her that she would find a way to see him.
"We should probably part ways here though, I would not want to wake Shira," she lowered her voice to say so, she was just a few yards away in a small group of savanna shrubs.
Nerit was unsure of what came over her this night, usually not so cheerful, generally a pessimist today she was sweet, even a tad bit flirty with Mafuriko, he was quite cute, and yes awesome if she had to put a few words together describe him it would be 'quirky charm.'

Having had such limited experience with other lions and sticking mostly to those he knew well, Riko was somewhat intrigued by Nerit. She was different, and it seemed almost odd to be a traveler and expect to meet back up. She was very interesting, to say the least.
"Ok, goodnight," he said simply, nodding and turning to head off in another direction. If she didn't want to wake this "Shira" then he would do her the favor of not doing it himself. Besides, Kiwi clearly couldn't be in this direction.

"Goodnight," she murmured back and watched him as he headed off into a different direction. Waiting until he was a little out of sight she crept off to do some hunting, possibly bring in a klipspring or a hare for Shira's breakfast. Nerit was not plump, but neither was she skinny, she had a stocky muscular body that allowed her to overpower most creatures.
"Great Lion," she murmured to the dark, "if you're watching, I'm not sorry for pretending to be a different class, I'm the only one who knows and it does not make me question my faith in you and your great eye." Her voice barely audible as she crept her nose working double time to find a catch quickly.
