Just some ideas to increase guild volume and activity:
-Have at least one person manning the recruiting thread every day or once a week (or something like that.) We could probably have an announcement/sticky thread on our main forum for said person to keep us updated or to figure out who's turn it is to go to the recruitment thread.
-Have a monthly giveaway/contest for new people recruited in that month. Prizes can be whatever members donate, a sealed letter (I'd might be willing to provide, starting with June's), siggys, avi art, dream avi, ect. Of course, don't make the contest known until they join, lest we have young 'uns try to fool us. The winner can be chosen at random from the introduction thread or by other means (amount of guild activity wouldn't be fair to those arriving later in the month...)
-For older members, I'd go with the possibility of being promoted or maybe another giveaway/contest every few months that only people who have been active for one or more months can be eligble for. Winner can be chosen randomly, so it will be fair for those that don't have a lot of spare time, but are still active members.
Just a lil brainstorming.
I dunno if other people already suggested or if some of this is already going on. I looked around a bit, though.
