"Maybe if you cleared the path they'd think it led somewhere other than the cliff." Andrea suggested, "In the meanwhile, if you dont mind I'd like to check out my room."

"go right ahead, it's up the stars, you'll find the room easily, the number on your key will light up." he explained.

"Interesting." Andrea said as she walked off towards the stairs and up them. She did, easily find the room and opened the door with the key. She immediatly loved it. A huge bed in the middle of the room, a large dresser that she'd never fill, a splendid window with a good view of the ocean below the cliff, carpeting around her bed so when she woke up her feet wouldn't freeze on a cobblestone floor. It was wonderful, but she didn't stay in there as she had nothing to put in it. So she careful tied to key to the same strap that held her hidden daggar, and she went downstairs and said to Gabriel, "Its a lovely room!"

"I will. Say, I would love to go flying, haven't in days cause I didn't want to wear them out. Anywhere you'd suggest has the best view? Seeing as you fly as well." Andrea motioned at the bat wings.

Jessica stumbled up the large wooden steps of the mansion. She was gasping from the pain a wound that she received from one of the pesky hunters was causing. He hit her in her shoulder and despite her attempts to heal her shoulder still oozed deep red blood. Her body had minor scrapes and scratches, all that could be healed once she got herself back to her full strength. Right now her only concern was making it to the door and getting help. It would be day light in a few hours and she would surely be weaken almost to death if she could not get her shoulder looked at. She knocked hard on the door and tried to yell for help, her voice came out in a soft raspy cry. "Help...." She whispered before she clasped, the large yellow orange sun beginning to peek up from the horizon.

"Wait, I hear someone calling for help at the door..." Andrea said as she turned before she'd held out her hand to follow him.

not all shadows are cast by light...
"so I heard." he said and he ran towards the doors. as he opened them he saw a girl lying on the ground with blood on her shoulder, he saw a hint of fangs and the sun coming through. he easily picked her up and helped her into the mansion, closing the door behind him. he placed her on the couch against the wall. "are you alright?" he asked

Andrea quickly went over to the couch and said, "Let me help her wound..."

Jessica opened her eyes slowly, she winced and groaned. "Get away from me!" She hissed at the woman who went to address her wound. She flashed her fangs threateningly at her. "You're not a vampire...." She replied softly. Jess was not used to being around other races, she learned as a child to fear the hunters, kill the humans, and stay to her own race. Her eyes shut once more as she let out a cry of pain.

Jessica looked up at Andrea. "Jessica..." She replied. She winced once more and then said, "Will it hurt?" She was tired of being the "strong and independent vampire". She was in pain and severely weakened and needed help, even if it meant receiving it from someone other than a vampire.
