I love my viola... it's my life. I think the violin is kinda squeeky, but if you can make it sing like it's supposed to, you're golden in my book. I like cellos as well, they're a lot like violas. I don like basses (sorry) but I can't hear the differences in the notes... the sounds are just too low for my ear.
P.S. Jenn = first vote on viola... ouch!

Hmmm... I guess I have obligations to say violin, since that's the once I play. Then I would say cello, viola, and bass. I just feel bad for the basses because they never get real music, it's just monotonous oompas most of the time. But whatever. Violin goes.

FIRST CHAIR CELLO ALL THE WAY!!! oh im talking about myself again. the cello has more of a range then the violin, it doesnt sound like nails on a chalk board, and has a better tone.
