It's getting to be time to board the Bahamut, and I'm level 65. I go back to the Pharos and I'm like 'cool what's subterra?' I go down there and take one step and then forty gazillion evil giant toads are beating the crap out of me and it was all I could do to wiggle my way past the foul amphibians and back onto the elevator that apparently only leads to certain death.

What level should I be to be in subterra?

I think 70 is the best level. I'm like lvl 65 too and I just level up there on the first floor. I haven't really been past that. ;-; If you can, buy bubble belts. Your HP increases a lot and it helps.

sweatdrop Hehe...see, well, that's the thing...I did have bubble belts on everyone...and mirror mail while relying on items instead of spells...and I still got owned...

My new ARRRRGwtf moment.

Getting lost in the Garamsythe Waterway.

D:

It took me like a billion years to get out, even with using the map.
And this was like...two hours ago.

@ Griever:

Pfft...I was switching characters insanely because they kept dying. All I remeber was that Penelo was the sole survivor along with a cursed, poisoned, diseased, ect. Basch...

@ Cakes:

I HATE THAT WATER WAY. THE MAP IS FREAKING USELESS AND IT'S REALLY CONFUSING AND I HATE SEWER SYSTEMS!

It's like, the map shows the places where you can walk, but they miss the stairs/broken stairs and pretty much every useful part.

SO I GOT REALLY LOST.

;-;

I made it all the way to where you started with Balthier and Fran before I realized I went the wrong way.

The first time I played through I got stuck in the place with the Mimics after you free Basch x.x

The charge got down to like 10% and I had to go all the way back to the save point.
needless to say I started over XD

and the Garamsythe Waterway made me want to kill small fuzzy animals.
After the rest of it opens up and you need to get the stone things to control the waterflow to get to different areas and whatnot, the map became all but useless.
Thank god they fixed that in IZJS =D

Oh, there were plenty of those times, as there are with most good games. Let's see...

When I reached the Pharos Subterra for the first time, I thought "Hmm...seems like a good place to do some levelling up." Silly me. I got off the elevator and start beating up on some enemies, and within moments....there's a raging horde of at least 8 Abbadons (ugly purple frog guys) trying to have their way with me. And..they just kept coming. And coming. crying

The very first time I went to do the final battle, I spent a long time levelling up, since I didn't know how tricky Vayne was going to be. When I boarded the Bahamut, Everyone in my party was lvl 77, with the exception of Vaan who was 80. Well...the amount of sheer and utter disappointment I felt when I beat The Undying in under 40 seconds made me drop my controller, glare at my TV, and exclaim "What the hell....? That's it?!" I actually beat Vayne Novus and The Undying so quickly that I didn't have a chance to see any of their special attacks and the cinematics that went with them. Don't even get me started on the Gabranth and regular Vayne fights that took place before them. After watching the ending, I had to reload the game and fight the bosses again, and intentionally stall just so I could watch their special moves, which hurt my party about as bad as a flea bite. Summed up, it was WAY too easy and took away the feeling of accomplishment one enjoys feeling after beating a long game. On my second playthrough, I avoiding levelling and fought him at lvl 48, and it was a lot more challenging and fun.

When Kites told me in Lowtown that I was going to have to go gather the tools he needed to open the door, I groaned and facepalmed. Yeah, I bit, Square got me.

Mom Bombs + being at a too low a level. 'Nuff said.

The Ogir-Yensa and Nam-Yensa sandseas. They wouldn't bother me if it weren't for the combination of them being ridiculously huge, taking forever and a year to explore, and the agonizingly horrible music that plays the entire time.

When the Empire captured my party for like the 90th time during the plot, I groaned.

When I was dumb enough to buy the 99 pebbles at the bazaar.

Trying to get the Grand Armor and Grand Helm.

The way you can't get to the load screen for several moments after you turn on the game, you have to wait for the Strahl to fly through the clouds or whatever before the controller will acknowledge you. Not a big deal, I know, but it irked me sometimes.

I never had that much of a problem with the Garamscythe Waterway like a lot of people have mentioned, but nonetheless, when I popped out in there after beating Zalera, I groaned. I got so tired of seeing that place and listening to its annoying music.

Heh, those birds were annoying. After I gave up trying to catch the Rabanastre one I went to try and catch the one in Balfonheim. And when that moogle rode away on that damn bird, I was just like "NO D:<" and left to win the game. XD

Two nights ago, I was like MEGA BORED.

So I decided to do Bahamut again.

And I was really excited to see LARSA AGAIN.

But then I remember, after I flew to Bahamut, that I had to fight Vx3.

:l

BUT I WON.

The first fight lasted like 2.35 seconds.
The others took longer.
