Laila snorted at Jessica's blatantly obvious lack of ability to defend herself. "I won't get hurt. Who do you think I am. Besides, these guys, they ain't so tough I swear." She glowered at each of them in turn, tryin to choose which one to pick on. She picked the one who made the ridiculously sexist remark before. "This one here." She said as if she was an announcer as she strolled up to the person scowling. "Was rejected by the love of his life when he was 5 years old because he hd a lazy eye. Aww...bless, forgotte about how much that had hurt didn't you." She added in a patronizing tone. "The first time he made friends with this group of people was because his siser had told him he was uncool and needed to stop hanging out with dorks. He couldn't make friends easily, so his sister spoke with her boyfriend, who is..." She thought for a second, "That one." She pointed at another boy.
"See? He's pathetic. They all are." She looked them up and down and said mockingly, "Do you want me to continue boys?"

Jessica widened her eyes innocently. "Hey, how'd you know that?" The second boy who got picked on leg walked over to her and towered over the girl menacingly. How did she... She ignored a thought that came into her head and continued trying without success to get away from them. It's one of those times she wished that guys dieted more. "What are you doing?" She asked. "Shut up, little girl." Another one piped in. She narrowed her eyes slightly and then widened again. She focused, trying not to get distracted by the rough hands holding her still, on the girl's eyes. What exactly is she doing?

Laila winked at Jessica and grinned playfully as she saw she was being watched. Having started her 'little game' she found it was far too much fun to stop now. "Still at our little games boys? It's no wonder you're angry now." She said rounding on the second boy she'd picked on once more. "I mean, I just mentioned your ex who you got pregnant didn't I. Oops, silly me. Looks like your friends didn't know about that." She gave an innocent sounding giggle. "I never realised you were such thoughtful people, I mean you could stop what you're doing now, but you're so kind - you're allowing me to continue. And for that I thankyou from the bottom of the gaping void of my heart."

Madison had heard the scream as well, but was slower to follower. She arrived just as Laila giggled innocently, and was amazed by her brazen. She slipped through the trees, trying to make her way around to the pinned down girl without being seen. She made it, crouching down behind a bush at the back of the pack. Great, now what do I do, she thought, looking at the muscled boys. Fright worked it's way into her, afraid she'd be seen. She tried to get the pinned down girls attention, waving her hands softly from behind the bush.

She woke up in a busy place, unsure of anything. Star....Star, yes, Star. That's my name! She thought wildly to herself. "Now, where am I..." She said outloud. It seemed Star had awoken on a bench, in a place real busy. No one seemed to notice her, as she looked around. There seemed to be people giving things out, in exchange for some paper items and round rocks. What was this? Star felt around in her pocket and found some of the shiny rocks, and saw the imprints on them. nited States of America..? Star thought to herself as she read.

Cornelius looked bored on his way to the newspaper. Then someone caught his eye--some little girl muttering to herself on a bench in the park. "Do I help or do the New York thing? Perhaps I can do both at the same time," he grinned. He walked up to Star, sitting on the bench, "Hey there, you seem lost." He kindly sat beside her, "Do you need any help?"

Star looked at the person who sat beside her. "Uhh. Sure. I'm in America right? Well, where, exactly?" She asked, hoping she didn't sound like a complete dope.

He squinted, and cocked an eye, "You're real lost. Yeah, this would be America. You're in New York City. What happened, did you get on a boat from some mystical land and end up here?" He sat down next to her.

The shop was selling dresses. Pretty dresses, the kind girls wished for when they wanted to go to prom, despairing that they couldn't afford them. Dresses that fluttered beautifully in the breeze, that floated when there was no breeze, that made the girls who wore them look like fairy princesses. Magical dresses. Cari trailed her hand along the shop window, wondering why she could remember this when she couldn't remember so many other things. Had she been in the shop before? She searched her scant collection of memories and concluded that she hadn't. But the impression of what kind of dresses these were remained. It was like that all the time. She had no idea of who she was, where she had come from, or even what she was doing here. The only reason she believed her name to be 'Cari' was that she had found the word written in pen on the back of her hand when she had woken up in an abandoned warehouse. She'd imitated the writing since then, and it was definitely her own. But she couldn't be certain it was her own name. Vague bits of memory had returned to her since then. She'd be passing a deli and remember that she didn't like pastrami, or overhear two people talking politics and remember an article she'd read in a newspaper. But nothing that actually applied to her. Nothing that told her who she was. Do I really need to know? "Hey!" Cari turned to see a frowning man coming out of the shop. He looked annoyed. "Are you going to come in and buy something? Because if not, scram. You're driving away customers!" The man blinked. Almost before he'd finished, the girl had faded away until it seemed like nobody had ever been there. He almost believed she hadn't been there. Except for the memory of eyes. Blue eyes that seemed, for a single second, to look into his soul.

Fate decided to pair Chase up with a fallen angel that night. He walked down his route home like every night. Knowing he wasn't in the best part of the neigborhood, he at first ignored the scream he heard. He wanted to ignore what was going on, he really did; but his heart told him to do otherwise. He found himself jogging in the direction of the scene he stopped. ''Thugs...'' He whispered to himself. They were common in this part of town too. He scowled and if you had been looking at his face, his eyes wen't from aquamarine to yellow, iradescent in the moonlight. 'With a nasty intention...' He was thinking of a way to help when he saw a hand wave behind the bushes. 'What in the world? Who would be playing around at a time like this?' He crept around the scene, not making any noises that could get him spotted. He tapped the girl in the bushes to get her attention."What are you doing here?" She looked lost and scared, but Chase could tell she was drawn to the scene wanting to help, her purpose shining through her fear. "Scratch that." He looked at the pale blond girl being pinned down. "We need to help, but without getting anyone's attention." He sighed, once again examining the scene. "This isn't gonna be easy." He whispered more to himself than the girl he crouched beside.

((Mmm...Sry >.< Missed a bit. ))
Jessica thought she saw something moving behind some bushes from the corner of her eye. Imagination. She decided and ignored it. While the guys were distracted, she peered into his eyes. They were a deep rusty color that didn't look very happy. After a few seconds, she gasped with realization. Good thing she caught herself in time and silenced it. She knew. She shifted her eyesight back down to the ground. I don't want trouble. She just wanted to wander around this new place for a bit. Something inside her told her to stay and play the innocent little girl she started. She wanted to know exactly what that girl was doing. Seems fun to play with. Can't wait. As soon as she got free of here, she'd find some way to get rid of her.
Without warning, some of the guys standing more at the back walked up and surrounded her too. "Just shut up and you won't be hurt too badly." One of them snarled and crackled his knuckles threateningly. They were all tall and had more of a well-built body that could make most people tremble and run. They knew that they could do some damage but of course, would never have the guts to.
((Someone else can rp as the 'thugs', ya know xD ))

Laila's heart froze, she wasn't very good at the whole macho think, she was cocky and overconfident sure. But she was only very good at arguments with words. "You really want trouble huh? You really want me to continue on all your pasts? Wow, overconfident much. Why don't you chase him? Yes, that one of your gang who is currently wandering away from you." She said pointing in the direction of a 'thug' who seemed to have made a bid for freedom. "Or, you could do likewise. Frankly I was busy, doing something far more interesting. And I would care if you would please let me and this girl leave now."
A thug sneered and pushed her, snarling, "Yeah. Right.

Madison jumped as someone tapped her shoulder. Turning, she saw a boy around her age crouching down beside her. Should I scream, she wondered as fear gripped her. She didn't know whether he was there to help or not. He didn't seem to be harmfull, so Madison decided to trust him, for now at least. "I'm trying to help." she hissed, getting a bit annoyed. He had seriously scared her.
"Do you have any ideas?" she asked, never taking her eyes off the thugs. If they heard her, they'd both be in trouble.

Aaron became aware of himself, but didn't open his eyes right away; the sun was warm on his skin, individual blades of grass, so fine he could barely feel them, ticked his cheek, and his his whole body felt heavy and sleepy. Finally his eyes blinked open, taking in the scenery with a kind of sleep-dazed half interest. They lingered for a few moments on a pretty girl with red-gold hair as she passed by walking a little dog. Down, Aaron, he told himself, half smiling as his eyes slid shut once more.
The next second they shot open again and they boy sat bold upright, drawing surprised looks from a couple relaxing nearby, but Aaron had much more important things to worry about, things like the fact that he had no idea how he'd gotten to be where he was. In fact, he had no idea where he was in the first place.
A shocked, sick sort of fear was curling up in his stomach, and he had to consciously force himself to continue breathing normally. Okay, no need to panic; he just had to to think. He couldn't remember how he'd gotten to this place-- it looked like a park-- so what was the last thing he could remember doing? He cast his mind back, but... nothing. He could not remember a single thing before waking up from his cat-nap. No, not quite true, he knew his name. Just his name. How was that possible? It wasn't!
He swallowed, then got shakily to his feet, though he wasn't sure where he should go, or could go. Could he ask someone for help? No, he'd be laughed at; hell, he'd be tempted to laugh at himself if the situation weren't so damn... He drifted down chillingly unfamiliar pathways, feeling an odd sort of numbness settle over him, which was fine. He didn't want to think about any of this. If he didn't think about it, maybe it would go away.

"Not a one." Chase whispered back to Madison. he noticed some of the thugs had run off. He was a bit relieved there weren't so many of them, but still didn't know what to do. He stared at the remaining thugs, thinking intently on what to do next. "This is the dumbest thing I'll ever do in my life." He spoke to himself again. Then he turned to Madison. "How well do you know your way around here?" he paused, holding back a grin."We have a very daring escape to make, and it woun't help me if you get lost." He looked at the thug holding Jessica down. "Don't worry he doesn't look very fast, just don't let him get ahold of you."
