Journal Entry: Maturin
Maturin
For the record: I think Charles is really suffering the most here. The poor thing looks half narotic, flitting around nervously and jumping ten feet...higher...in the air. Amayon's driving the poor moogle to the breaking point, and I don't think Nanaja's helping by trying to bite him all the time... --Maybe I can find the poor thing a safe hobby. Or I can just move all the gardening up on to the fireplace for him to hide behind when he needs his alone-not-being-chewed-on time.
In any case, a lot has changed around here. For one, it's not just me and Charles being abused mistreated? entertained by Amayon's company. With Oboro and Nanja (and now Bella) the activity in the house is picking up quite a bit. I'm beginning to think we're going to need a bigger house; one room just isn't going to be enough if Oboro and Nanaja grow quickly and as large as I suspect they will. That, and Bella had an extraordinary set of lungs on her. If I'm ever going to get any sleep--...right, getting off track. I seem to be doing that qite a bit lately; I blame the lack of sleep. Nanaja and Oboro, for the most part, really aren't that much of a burden. I've taken care of enough animals and such that feeding them and such isn't much of a task. It's the whole...playing with them thing that's a bit difficult. And they do like to play. I don't think they quite get the concept of teeth, though. Or if they do, they're really quite cruel with them. But they don't chat much. I'm not sure they can talk, anyway. They make alot of crooning noises and such, but otherwise...--
Note to self: Possibly developing mind speech? I've heard rumors about dragon to humanoid communication...
It is a job, though. Getting up rather earlier than I'm used to, having to help Charles keep the house clean (they make a horrible mess sometimes). Other than Amayon slacking off more than usual -- I still say she could at least help feed them. Or at least, do more than sit and look entertained as they claw Charles and I into bits. --, I guess there hasn't been too much change. Oh, being woken up in the middle of the night with a dragon chewing on your hand (note: never let hand fall off bed again...), and being preened at, and having the little things eat my plants, tear up my folders, and trip me as I'm trying to get work done; but, really. Little change.
I really, really would like some more sleep though...
